November 2018- Moderate Hotel Help!

We booked our airfare, now looking into hotels for our November trip. It doesn't look like any promotions are running for our dates yet. We also are trying to be economical. Disney Springs Hotels? A moderate? Dolphin? Are you better off booking a Disney Springs Hotel or Dolphin on your own or using a travel agent? Any help is greatly appreciated. We go every other year, and have stayed at Saratoga Springs, Contemporary, Wilderness and The Boardwalk. My fav in terms of location was The Boardwalk.

If you feel comfortable waiting a few months to see if they release any november discounts that’s always an option. I would personally pick the dolpin over any disney springs hotel because of the quality of the resort and location. I have stayed at the B and the Hilton over there and didn’t feel like i was in the disney bubble and didn’t like how the bus system operated from those hotels. Also a lot of travel agencies will give you a free quote for pricing, but I find it to be just as easy to book yourself. If you are considering the dolphin, I also suggest making a free spg account on the website, as doing so gives you access to cheaper prices for rooms at the swan and dolphin as well as access to their point redeeming system. In terms of moderate vs dolphin, that depends on what your family is looking for. Dolphin has walking distance to 2 parks, sometimes nicer views, and is similar to a deluxe. But moderates can be more “disney” and might be cheaper on some weekends.

A Disney Springs Hotel would definitely be cheaper than any Disney hotel. And some are right across the street from Disney Springs. Their busses run every 30 min, which is better then I can say for my last WDW stay.

Late summer discounts just came out so next will be your Nov. discounts. November seems to be pretty popular, esp with Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations being out.
I’d lock down something now then when WDW discounts come out you can reassess.

If you are considering Disney Springs area hotel look at Mousesavers.com web site and sign up for their newsletter. They frequently post discounts for those hotels. Often with room discounts and other perks like free breakfast, no or reduced parking or resort fee.

Swan/Dolphin location is great being in the Epcot area. Look at what discounts they offer, sometimes better discounts if you’re a teacher, nurse, fireman, etc.
