Does anybody know when they take down the Halloween decorations? The last Halloween party is November 2nd.

We just changed our dates to November 1st to 7th - staying at AoA LM room. Can you please add me?
Thanks.

They start taking them down right after the last party(or within the first couple days of November) because the first MVMCP is the 9th. YOu should be able to see some before you leave! Congrats on the LM room(I hear they are hard to come by these days). I will add you and :welcome:

I am gonna have so much fun tonight LOL I am such a dork! DH has to work his second job tonight(side job really) and since I finally made the descision about our ADR's I can complete the planning binders for everyone! My grandmother and grandfather come up from FL to visit in about 2 weeks and my gma(love her to death) wants me to handle her payments and everything. I told her Id ahve her binder all ready for when she comes up. Now I can start planning our night at the Boardwalk!

sounds like fun. I will be working on my couponing binders for my class on Sunday. :woohoo:

 me too! I want to say, we did it, even if we hate it. I think it was hard because its Poppop and Gma's last meal before they leave and I didnt want them to be disappointed BUT we ate a Coral Reef last time with them and this time, everything is new for them! Im so excited! They have never been to Animal Kingdom let alone the MVMCP!:santa:

Yeah, I'm sure they will be happy even if you're not a fan of the food. It's always so much harder for the planner. You have all the pressure that you put on yourself to make sure everyone else is having THE BEST TIME OF THEIR LIVES!!!! when really they're not feeling that way at all. It's just something that planners project on others, at least that's been my experience.

Just plan it the best you know how and then when you get there take a deep breath and ENJOY it all! At least, this is what I keep telling myself.:rolleyes1

They'll start taking them down after the party ends the 2nd. It's amazing how quick they can change the MK from Halloween to Christmas :thumbsup2

You're fine :goodvibes. It won't matter that you've already got the dining plan booked, if free dining comes out as a general public offer, you will still be able to get it :thumbsup2. It is *possible* that they won't offer it at AOA (especially the Little Mermaid rooms, which seem to be almost full for Nov.). If you decide that the savings are worth it, and they don't offer AOA, you can always switch to another resort. Also, if you haven't already done this, you need to call Disney and ask if you have any PIN codes attached to your name (or the name of anyone else traveling with you-- give them each adult name one by one!). A LOT of people have free dining PIN codes attached to their names right now. Alas, I am not one of them :sad2:, but it's possible that you may be!! Here's wishing you a little pixie dust pixiedust:! Post back and let us know if you had a PIN code. Also, I'm not sure when your dates are, but some dates are blacked out on the PIN code ("Jersey week" and Thanksgiving week are two of the biggies). As long as you CHECK IN on a date where free dining is offered, you can have it for your entire stay. For instance, as long as you arrive on or before 11/15, you can have free dining all the way through Thanksgiving week. I hope this info helps!

'Ohana for dinner is a must-do for us every trip. It's our favorite restaurant in the world. We also love breakfast there, too :goodvibes. Dinner does not have characters, but there is a lady who leads the kids in a hula dance and coconut races. It's a lot of fun, and the bread pudding for dessert is TO DIE FOR . Breakfast at 'Ohana includes Mickey and Lilo and Stitch. Also very fun. I also second Tusker house breakfast at AK-- yummy and great characters! At HS we usually do the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose. This year, we'll have two full days there, so we're trying Sci Fi dine-in, as well! Happy planning! --Katie

wow i didnt know that. any idea where i would call i booked thru a travel agent. should i ask her or call a certain number?

I see ya'll have been planning without me again. :rotfl::rotfl:
Last night was our turn for weird weather. We had a very strong wind storm go through. Our power just flickered but it was enough to take the internet out. :confused3

I need some help!!! My DH's vacation dates have been changed and I need to rethink my dates. I am so mad. He had already recieved the ok in May for the dates he had asked off 11-14 to 11-21. Now he was told by his supervisior that he will need to change his dates because he (the supervisior) has requested the same days off for a hunting trip and will not be able to cover DH sales' route. So now DH has to change his vacation days. Our orginal dates were Wed. 11/14 to Saturday 11/24 (10 nights). Now I have to redo all the planning. He was told that he could have the week after Thanksgiving off. We really like to stay atleast 8 nights durng our trip. So now I am looking at 2 different stays. Here is what I am looking at; Arriving on Thanksgiving day 11/22 staying at Pop for 2 nights (would love to get LM @ AOA but no rooms). Then checking into CSR for 7 nights 11/24-12/1 with free dining hopefully. I am trying to figure out the cheapest way to still be able to do everything we want as far as ADRs, as our meals are my DH favorite part of the trip. I have looked at AP and the TIW card vs getting the dining plan for the 2 days which means I will also have to purchase park tickets because you can not add dining without them. I would say to just pay OOP but we have Ohana scheduled for Thanksgiving dinner and Chef Mickey's for the next night and they will cost alot OOP and I can't seem to get either for the next week. Any thoughts on my best options?

I know we are all patiently waiting for Bog ADRs to open. :rotfl2: But are you honestly excited about the menu itself? In all honesty I'm not. But I want to eat there just to see it and experience it. :thumbsup2

LOL, yes, it's occurring to me I'll be up at the crack of dawn on my day off to book, what, french onion soup? Cause that's probably all my kids would be willing to eat off that menu. :lmao: Still feels like something i need to conquer, though! :rotfl2:

I need everyones help..... I have a tough choice to make and cant decide which one I want.... OPININIONS PLZ! Which places?

A.
Sunday: Cape May Cafe
Wed(CLP) Garden grill
Saturday Coral Reef

B.
Sunday-Whispering Canyon Cafe
Wed-Coral Reef for CLP
Sat-Cape May Cafe

Coral reef is a must for us

I vote A., unless you are staying at WL, in which case B. would be easier, but food is better at GG!

Okay after second and third guessing myself, we are going with Option A! I want to atleast say we tried it and didnt or did like it :thumbsup2 Thanks for all your opinions!!!!! I am kid of getting excited about this one!:woohoo: AND its for the Candlelight processional!

Ooops, that's what I get for not logging on all day, sorry i weighed in after the fact. I think you made a great choice!!! :thumbsup2

we did the dessert party in June 10 and really enjoyed it, love the location to watch wishes (tink comes right over the top of you) and all the desserts were great! We have not done it again because we always choose one new extra thing to try. last year it was the Hoop de Doo. This year we hope to try the pirates firework cruise.
