Did everyone waiting for FDing see this?
Hello again my friends, for the second consecutive year I´m bringin the Free Dining offer news for this fall, and the best it´s that only in 10 days it will be out
OK after all the negative comments about the credibility of my previous year announce and after the release in the exact day that I have predicted I hope that all of you are more confident this year.

These are the dates of the new offer that will be released in July 12

9/30 to 10/4

10/19 to 11/1

11/9 to 11/15

11/23 to 11/29

12/10 to 12/13

All resorts will be included except the LM rooms at AOA.-

Like the last promotion quick service for values and standar dining plan for moderates and the luxes

Hope that these dates work well with your plans and knowing that this announce will bring happiness for a lot of families I send all of you a lot of Pixie dust

Guess a LM room is going to be opening up on July 12. I was thinking about switching to POR anyway because of what looks like a huge hike to the busses. And if FD isn't going to be offered at the LM rooms, I'm definitely going to switch. Anyone else feel the same?

This is gonna be crazy BUT do you think you should switch now? Or wait? Its a tough call BUT if it were me, Id switch to POR and do a royal guest room :thumbsup2 If a themed room is what you are after Or a pirate room at CBR

Now the hours say til 11:30 is breakfast LOL anyway the only dinner one available is at 9:05 at night. If you cant do dinner...Id do breakfast! I hear its good! :thumbsup2 We are going on Wednesday:goodvibes

We already have a breakfast scheduled. I am hoping to snag a dinner reservation but not a late one. So when I saw what I thought was lunch I got a little excited. :rolleyes1

I agree with you. This could get crazy.

that seems very unfair that they would single out one section of one resort, and no disney magic for me i guess my dates are blacked out :headache:

I wonder if this will end up affecting the reservations with the LM rooms?

I think it will. So say you are a family with 2 or 3 children. You would save a bundle just switching to a Cars suite or LK suite :thumbsup2 Then Disney will realize this and maybe open up LM rooms.

I think because everyone is booking it. Cisney offers discounts to fill rooms that arent filling up. I have noticed alot of AoA LM rooms being booked

i am so excited!!!! Almost 4 months away. i can almost see the castle

As im a first timer can anyone tell me what to expect once the trip is fully paid for. Will they send me the tickets and room info? And what is this fd pin everyone keeps talking about? is that something that could be added to me current package. We have the ddp already.

What does everyone usually do on arrival and departure days. Since i heard you cant get into your room until after 3.

The nice thing about Disney resorts is the fact that if you arrive at 9am and your room is ready, you can check in! If it's not ready, you still get your Keys to the Kingdom (park tickets) and can check your carryons with bell services and go enjoy the parks.

A lot of people use their first and/or last days as DTD or hanging at the resort days. DH and I can't wait to hit the parks, so that's what we do. It all depends how early you arrive or how late your flight home is.

Also, once free dining comes out, you have to call to request it. But call quickly b/c there are only so many rooms available for that promotion and they go quickly.

ok i need some help or reassurance.

im hearing all about this free dining stuff and we have booked already with the ddp which was alot. should i have not done that and is this something they usualy offer. Also would it not be offered for the aoa because its new..::breath breath:: i feel like i am always second guessing my plans..is this normal or am i just freaking out

:confused3

I'm hearing that AoA is not included in the upcoming free dining general offer. But that could be wrong, so when the offer comes out, call Disney right away and ask to be included. They will credit you the QS amount back to you if AoA is included. Nothing wrong with having booked it already.

I see in a later post that you booked through a travel agent. Call them and let them know that you want to take advantage of the free dining if it comes out and they should be watching that for you. If you booked with a TA who specializes in disney, they usually do this automatically. Others, not so much. Good luck!:goodvibes

Okay after second and third guessing myself, we are going with Option A! I want to atleast say we tried it and didnt or did like it :thumbsup2 Thanks for all your opinions!!!!! I am kid of getting excited about this one!:woohoo: AND its for the Candlelight processional!

I'll be interested in hearing how you like it. I've been curious, but not curious enough to spend two dining credits I guess.:rotfl:

I am gonna have so much fun tonight LOL I am such a dork! DH has to work his second job tonight(side job really) and since I finally made the descision about our ADR's I can complete the planning binders for everyone! My grandmother and grandfather come up from FL to visit in about 2 weeks and my gma(love her to death) wants me to handle her payments and everything. I told her Id ahve her binder all ready for when she comes up. Now I can start planning our night at the Boardwalk!

That is so sweet!! I never traveled anywhere with my grandparents, regretfully. They just didn't go anywhere. Ever.:confused3

I need some help!!! My DH's vacation dates have been changed and I need to rethink my dates. I am so mad. He had already recieved the ok in May for the dates he had asked off 11-14 to 11-21. Now he was told by his supervisior that he will need to change his dates because he (the supervisior) has requested the same days off for a hunting trip and will not be able to cover DH sales' route. So now DH has to change his vacation days. Our orginal dates were Wed. 11/14 to Saturday 11/24 (10 nights). Now I have to redo all the planning. He was told that he could have the week after Thanksgiving off. We really like to stay atleast 8 nights durng our trip. So now I am looking at 2 different stays. Here is what I am looking at; Arriving on Thanksgiving day 11/22 staying at Pop for 2 nights (would love to get LM @ AOA but no rooms). Then checking into CSR for 7 nights 11/24-12/1 with free dining hopefully. I am trying to figure out the cheapest way to still be able to do everything we want as far as ADRs, as our meals are my DH favorite part of the trip. I have looked at AP and the TIW card vs getting the dining plan for the 2 days which means I will also have to purchase park tickets because you can not add dining without them. I would say to just pay OOP but we have Ohana scheduled for Thanksgiving dinner and Chef Mickey's for the next night and they will cost alot OOP and I can't seem to get either for the next week. Any thoughts on my best options?

First of all let me say that I think it stinks that the supervisor used his superior position to take your DH's vacation away! After all, he had already been okayed to be off. I don't really know what your best option would be for the dining since there are so many variables. The thing about a split stay is the cost of a ticket for 2 days is so much more expensive than the cost of a 9 day ticket. You can get a 9 day ticket that goes with you to your second resort, but then you can't have the FD with that since they are considered two different reservations and one would be booked as a room only. If that's the case, then an AP might be the better choice...if you will be going again within the year. They say for AP to be worth it you must be planning at least a 10 day stay over the course of the year. Lots to think about. Good luck!:flower3:

ETA: I see the general FD reportedly coming out on the 12th would be for your second dates, but would not include your first two days, so that is something to consider. If you have a Disney Visa card, you can get a discount at some restaurants, not sure if Ohana or Chef Mickey's are included.

What day?

Maybe they are adding Lunch hours at 'ohanas like they do at Chef Mickeys during busy times ?

Wow!! Good Morning everyone.....already lots of activity with the news of FD going public on 7/12, I knew it was only a matter of time before that happened. I am so happy for those who have been patiently waiting to see if it would happen. I am very happy for all that will be able now to take advantage of it. For us it really is the only way I would travel to WDW...I love their dining plan!! :)

us too. Our first year we stayed at the Poly of 5 nights and had a 40% off code(saved us $2500  :yay: ) other than THAT (which I would do again with that code LOL) we will only go during FDing. In another year, we will be a family of 2 adults, 2 disney adults and a child so FDing IS the only way we will go

I so agree with you. And Disney knows its a great deal too, or else they would not offer it like they do. Having this savings in food brings in the customers/people and they do end up spending money in WDW in other areas so I guess for them it does bring in added revenue - in the end I guess it works for them financially to be able to offer this. I just love that we were able to get in early and be lucky enough to snag the week of Thansgiving because I see that it is not offered to the public that week!! But starting day after Thanksgiving- which I guess will be the first week to sell out with the FD.

The week after Turkey day is our week :headache: hope it stays not so crowded LOL

My response to this is not suitable for public consumption... Grrrr...
This is EXACTLY what I was afraid of. So anywhere on property except where we're staying!
Yes, Disney magic at work...
Maybe it's time to rethink AoA in favor of renting points. That way Dis gets less of my money...

Okay, so am I nuts to just pass this up all together? This is our first trip, I'm not ready to try a split stay, I don't even want to try that check out and check back in to my same hotel thing. I just want my Poly theme park view room. We're checking in on the 5th and leaving on the 15th. Or am I being really stupid?

I agree! DH and I have taken advantage of free dining since it started and really love it! I made ADRs as though I had fd, just in case and now it will pay off for me. We're booked at POP, I was trying to get AoA, but now, I'm thinking of changing to a mod resort!! The cost to upgrade from QS to reg dining would be $232, so it would only be a couple hundred more to upgrade to a mod. We love FQ, but I would maybe try another one. I'll have to check it out. I have seriously never changed my plans so much. Must be the strong influence on this thread...:lmao::lmao:

Have a great day everyone!:cool1:
