you are welcome :thumbsup2 I am hoping that post didnt sound snooty but I know everyone has their own opinions and to me, we dont have too much food. We are planning Hoo Dee Doo Revue for our arrival night. I have a 4yo so it should be fun :goodvibes

Not snooty at all. Everyone travels differently. I know if it was my sister's trip she would go without DDP and be happy. But we love TS and from everything I've read I think we will really love Disney TS!!!

if it was my arrival day, id head to DTD for a bit..... or a dinner show:)

I don't think we'll make it to the Poly until about 8PM that first night so I was thinking just checking out the resort and watching fireworks from the beach would probably be enough after a long day of travel. My mom is not big on air travel and I know she wants to keep it low key the first evening since we have 8AM ADR for CRT the next morning.

Oh yes...def check the Poly out that late...order the room service or grab something from Captain Cooks :thumbsup2 I loved the Poly...we stayed there in 2010

I'm so glad you loved it, I'm so new to all of this, the planning and everything. Having so much fun learning everything but really doing this on my own, DD has ideas but she's still a bit young to really get it and my mom is just going along for the ride, which is nice that I don't have to compromise much but not overly helpful either :)

What adrs are you planning? and do you have any kind of discount or anything yet?

Disney Dining is big to us

Does anyone know how much it costs to upgrade from free DP to Deluxe?

For our 9 night trip, it will be $1,030 to upgrade from free QS (value resorts) to DxDDP or $710 to upgrade from free DP (mods/deluxe resorts) to DxDDP.

2 adults, 2 kids (one free kid, one paying kid). I've been reading your PTR :cool1: I think we have a common ADR! 12/1 - Le Cellier for lunch? I have a 1pm!

We would be 4 adults and 1 kid as my older kids are 16 and 13

I don't have any discounts other than the package that was offered through the Disney website, I'm beginning to think that I didn't exactly do this economically but is there still a chance I could get some kind of discount? Either way it's all paid for so I'm just blocking that part out of my mind. :lmao:

My ADR's are:

Day 1 (MK)
Breakfast: CRT 805AM
Lunch: Liberty Tree 155PM
keeping dinner open just in case BOG opens up, if not we'll just do something quick.

Day 2 (MK & explore Boardwalk in evening)
Lunch: Crystal Palace 1135am
Dinner: Flying Fish Cafe 750pm

Day 3 (Epcot)
Breakfast: Ohana 730am
Lunch: Biergarten Noon
Dinner: Akershus 630pm

Day 4 (easy day)
BBB for DD3.5 at 8am
light Lunch @ Perfectly Princess Tea Party 1030am
Dinner: Chef Mickey's 545pm

Day 5 (1/2 day at DHS 1/2 day resting in cabana at Poly)
Breakfast: Hollywood & Vine 930am
Lunch: 50's Primetime Cafe 130pm
Dinner: Kona 745pm

Day 6 (Epcot)
Breakfast: Akershus 805am
Dinner: Le Cellier 415pm
Illuminations Cruise

Day 7 (AK)
Breakfast: Tusker House 930am
Dinner: CRT 715
MVMCP

Day 8 (MK)
Breakfast: Crystal Palace 810am
Lunch: The Plaza 120pm
Dinner: 1900 Park Fare 430pm
(I know Lunch and Dinner are close together but we plan on going back to the Poly right after lunch for a short rest and then go to dinner before heading back to the park)

So on 11/5 we arrive around 8pm like I talked about before and then on the 14 we have to leave around 8am sooo that's the trip. Heavy on princesses, doubled up on some restuarants b/c after looking at the menus decided we wanted to try breakfast and lunch/dinner at them. What do you think?

Looks good!!! I love it! I have the same ressies for breakfast and dinner... or have tried them before. We have Ohana breakfast this trip and a dinner.:yay: 1900 PF is great! My 2 DD's got pulled up to dance with Cinderella and Prince Charming. Oldest DD got Prince Charming. It was so magical! :cloud9: You will have lots of fun!

Thank you!! You're giving me confidence in my plan, I think that's the only thing that's been lacking. And now I just found your PTR. I saw your original ADR's and they all look great too! Now I'll just have to keep up with your changes :)

Yes at 2 :thumbsup2 with all 9 of us!!! Ill see u there

:dance3: We'll keep an eye out for a big party of 9! I'm waffling on my ADR there... I scored the *last* reservation available that day, so I don't want to cancel because I know I won't get it again - so for now it just sits... It's sooo hyped but the menu just looks "meh". I want to give it a try though because we never have and it is raved and raved about!

Here is a list of our ADR's let me know your thoughts please!! You all are the best!

Waldt Disney World Vacation- November 15-22 , 2012

Looks great! That's a lot of ADRs, but we have a lot too!

oh yes we do....says my family ;)

Do you tour together too or just meet up for meals?

I am done second guessing myself:) :wizard:

Yeah, yeah.... we'll see! :rotfl:

Super cute!!! I just had to print the Brave princess this week. I've got to insert it into my autograph books. :goodvibes I love making all the little things...so much fun! :goodvibes

Bottom line I'M GOING TO DISNEY!! so, it's all good.:dance3:

I think all need to remember this. In the big scope of things, we just need to remember we will be in our happy place with our loved ones. Everything else is just pixie dust. :goodvibes

We ave 24 ADRs booked for a 10 day trip. For us, Disney Dining is a HUGE part of vacation! Sure - it takes away about 5-6 hours of our day, whereas QS would only take about 3, but it gives us a nice break and we enjoy some LOVELY places! We did regular DDP last trip and didn't care for it at all... We love our DxDDP :rotfl:

I agree. We love trying new food and this allows us to try new things without feeling guilty about the prices. We get to see a bunch of characters. I love that the character some to us, and we wait in line for very few characters at the parks. For breakfast we always have an early morning ADR in the park we are going to that day so we are done eating before rope drop, and don't lose any park time. Actually, we get to be ahead of the rope drop crowd most of the time. We don't schedule lunch and usually just grab something at a counter service. Dinner is a great time to sit down and relax a bit. With young kids it allows them to rest a little so they can keep going for a little while longer. It works for us... for now. I imagine when the kids get older we will stay out later and not get up so early so the regular DP would probably work for us. :goodvibes

I think you've done great. The discounts will come, and yes, you can still take advantage of them. Just keep checking back often. Once they are released, they book up fast.

:rotfl: :rotfl: Mommyof3princesses, sorry, I couldn't help but laugh at that! :lmao:

Thank you!! I am so excited! :woohoo: I do have a question about that though, if my trip is already paid for and they have fd or some sort of discount, what do I do? Do I call and get some sort of refund? I've been trying to find out about that but I don't seem to be looking in the right place.

:cool2: u know what? Its okay because I wouldnt believe me either but I need an ADR break! :lmao: Im gonna go back to making my character books and bows!

The stuff you make is always fabulous!:thumbsup2

TOOK the words right out of my mouth!!!!! :lmao: We don't believe you!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

Thats just part of vacation for us :thumbsup2 even just going to the beach for a week, we do a sit down dinner out every night... if not lunch too! To each their own

Same here!:goodvibes:cloud9:

This is our first trip and I was getting worried about all the ADR's I made 20 for 8 full days but from past experience at tiny Sesame Place I know my
DD3.5 loves character meals so I figured that would be the easiest way to see them. And she's used to eating out on a regular basis that I'm not worried about her getting antsy. I just figured it would be a good way for her and my mom72 to get a bit of time resting througout the day. Thank you mommyof3princess27 for making me feel that this is the great idea I originally thought it was!

I think the character meals are definitely the very best way to see characters! I'm definitely NOT a stand-in-line-to-see-the-characters kind of person.

:dance3: We'll keep an eye out for a big party of 9! I'm waffling on my ADR there... You can count us in with the Le Cellier fans. We  it!

Let's talk weather. We have always gone for Halloween and have only been up to like the 5th of November. Once we went in January and it was FREEZING and Oct 2011 there was a heat wave and it was 105 every day. OMG it was so hot!!!
