The garland is already up since that is a part of the MVMCP that start earlier in November. It is only the tree that they put up for the parade (and it stays after). You should see MK all decked out (minus the tree) by November 9th when the first party is.

When does the tree go up? We go there Sunday the 2nd before going home and I want to see the tree

Hi all! :wave2: I haven't posted since the other thread, and then only a couple of times. I still try to keep up as regularly as possible though.

I just wondered what your opinions of the CLP are. We were thinking that we would probably skip it or just try to wait in line as I would rather not use 2 credits on the dining package. Whoopie will be there the night we were planning on Epcot, but I would so much rather see NPH and would consider rearranging my schedule. From what I'm reading though, he's really hard to get in to see, if you don't have the dining package.

We are all getting very excited for this trip! We are still hoping for free dining. I've tried calling a few times to see if we have a pin but no pixiedust: for us yet. We just need to be patient I guess. :goodvibes We did get all of the ADRs we wanted except for Garden Grill. And that worked out for us actually, as we are all excited to try Via Napoli instead. The menu at Via Napoli appeals more to my very picky DS anyway.:goodvibes

Anyway, happy planning to everyone!:)

I'm not booking a package. I just plan on being in line for the second CP show and if I don't make it, I'll try again for the third.

Does anyone know if the photopass photographers take pictures of you in front of the castle right after the lighting ceremony? We plan on being there at 6-6:15 when the do the ceremony, but will be getting kicked out at 7 for the party.

they should...they were there when we were in dec! It was a party night for us but ppl were taking pics before 7:cloud9:

Thanks!

It's amazing how many little questions you come up with while you planning. Thankfully we have the Dis and someone usually knows the answer.

Hello!

Thought I would pop onto this November Thread.

We are going 11/7 through 11/13 staying at POFQ.

Its my mother, my friend and myself. The main reason for the trip is to do the Wine & Dine 1/2 marathon. We did the Tinkerbell in Anaheim in January and are doing the DLR in September, as we live in Socal. Earning our Coast to Coast Medals.

Here is a quick rundown of the plans so far (and I keep telling them I am not going to change them):

11/8 Lunch at Le Cellier (not with 2TS for dinner imho)
11/9 Lunch/dinner Chefs De France
11/9 going to MCMCP (so excited!!)
11/10 lunch Tutto Italia
11/10 1/2 Marathon!
11/11 late lunch/dinner at San Angel Inn
11/12 lunch Mama Melrose (Fantasmic! Package)
11/13 Breakfast at Crystal Palace

The dining is *very* Epcot heavy, however it is my fav park for food and they left the planning to me. :lmao:

This is a "first" trip for my Mom. We went back in 7/2007, but were only in WDW for 2 1/2 days with NO planning, does not count. My girlfriend has gone once when she was a child, so its been about 15+ years since she has been.

I tried to get tickets to the Wishes Dessert Party, but the two days we could do it (11/9 or 11/12) seem to be sold out.

Will the Osbourne Lights be up that early? I am hoping they will be since we get to hit the MVMCP.

Happy Planning everyone!!

The wishes dessert party has not been released yet. I was told about 60 days out. :cool1:

Thats what I thought, but when I called on the Fantasmic, I was told if its loaded in the reservation site on line (which it is up through mid November), then I should be able to book it..

Making reservations this trip has been brutal. I feel like Disney changed all their policies from last year..

So I called back on Tuesday and talked to a very friendly CM looking to "price out our vacation."

After I gave her all of our specifications - - hotel, tickets, etc. she said she was going to look if I had any pins.....AND I DID! Free Dining was offered for our household. :cheer2:

Since we want to stay at All Star Movies the FD was for QS so we upgraded to the regular dining plan.

So it is official we will be in WDW from November 11th - 16th. Right now we are planning on doing MVMCP on November 15th. :cloud9:

Now to decide on our touring plan and make all of our ADRs!!!

The tree is up when the rest of the decorations are up. Its near the castle until after parade taping then its moved to its spot on Main St.

Actually that has not been accurate for a few years. To save money, they are no longer putting it up by the castle only to move it later. The just wait until after parade taping to put it up at all. So those going that weekend won't get to see it unlelss they somehow complete the taping to their satisfaction Saturday and put it up that night, which I wouldn't count on.

I finally added a couple of ADRs. After all your talk I wanted to try CP before rope drop and we're going to do Le Cellier on our last night. Will probably add the Plaza and Be Our Guest if it's available.
We are also going to do MVMCP on the 12th!

Does anyone else see the picture of the girl in the cowboy hat under a lot of avatars? When I go to my profile, there is her pic next to my name. Any ideas?

The CM was wrong, which is all too common ;) They just this week released the Dessert Party ADR's for August. They usually release them approximately 2 months out. Start checking at the beginning on Sept :thumbsup2

Does anyone happen to know when they will be taping the Thanksgiving Day Parade?? We will be there from Nov 15-25th all in all and was hoping to be there when they did this. thanks in advance.

Are all of the resorts decorated for Christmas by Thanksgiving? I want to see all of the trees and the gingerbread house. I got my MVMCP tickets in the mail today! Its going to be hard looking at them for the next 5 months :)
