NOVEMBER 2012 Trip Planners Part 2~yes there IS another!

SO I know everyone is tired of hearing about my F! dilema BUT I was thinking. If we have dinner at 9pm(if we keep it) then we have an 8 am ADR at Akershus which WE ARE KEEPING! ACK I didnt realize! I forgot I had it! No I still ahvent made my mind totally up yet or not. I know I keep second guessing myself. Anyone else not 100% sure of their dininng yet?

I was sure that we were doing all counter service and a lunch at Rainforest. After reading all of the ADRs here, I'm really considering adding a table service somewhere. We did breakfast at CP last time and that was a hit with the family.

I wonder how early they will put up decorations at each park.

Jen, if we don't find out here, We'll find out in Nov! I think it's going to be neat to see the switch from Halloween to Christmas. I have one of my MK days on Tues the 6th, right between to 2 parties. Should be interesting to see how much gets done basically overnight!

I'm trying to decide what to do about fitting BOG in once that is released for ADRs.(I will fit it in.) And I think I am going to cancel the 8:15am at the Crystal Palace on Thursday Nov. 29th. I just don't see the point in it since that is a EMMHs. If I cancel this I have to decide what is going in its place.

Hmm It sounds like Monday might be less crowded than Sunday...but we have two ADRS on Monday, including an 8:05am at the Castle that will be very difficult to change I think we'll have to just deal with the Sunday crowd though I am still hoping that a blog like easywdw will come out with some thoughts on the matter

It would be nice if easywdw or someone gave us a little more insight.

Does anyone know if ALL the parks will be Christmas decorated by the time they start doing MVMCP at the MK, or is that all done in stages. We are curious if Epcot will be decorated while we were there

I think everyone already answered- yes, all parks will be decorated by then. The resorts usually get their decor like first/second week of November. No tree at MK until after MK parade taping first weekend of December. I think you will probably see the parks done right after the last MNSSHP, which I think is 11/2?

My daughter really wants to see Fantasmic this trip. However, I'm unsure now that I'm seeing all of the comments about it. We've never seen it so I think we need to just once anyway. Right?

I would say see it at least once. We've skipped it for years because we hate dealing with the crowds. lol

so for autograph books, i made one in 2009 that was pretty cute- just used scrapbooking supplies and my cousin had a thing to spiral bind them. they didn't hold up well (the pages) even wiht card stock and a thick acrylic cover and back.

and then last year, i ordered one on shutterfly. I had seen some templates on the design boards that you could import/access in shutterfly and used them. I picked which layouts/pages/characters i wanted and could make the book as long or short as i wanted and pick a size too, plus customize with our own pics. My son loved it and the characters went nuts for it, since it had their pictures in it for them to sign on. Much like the disney jr. book you guys are talking about- it is a great idea!

Smileybug... I already let my 805 CP ressie go....along with the Fri F! package and breakfast at Ohana's...now everything is changed around and fits nicely phew! I am done. and Im okay with all of them

Well I called for another reason but I asked her to check another date for F! (our ACTUAL DHS day) and she said there was availablity, I booked our dinners and moved a few while on the phone with her and figured it all out. The only downside is that now my grandparents will only get a brief veiwing of the Osbourne lights from after F! til the 755 50's ressie but oh well cant please everyone.

I'm not sure. We know it has to be after the last halloween party and before the first MVMCP.

I'm hoping most decorations are up by nov 7. Think we will have to leave that day and not make it to 9th and MVMCP. I know late last August the fall/Halloween decorations seemed to go up over night so maybe the same can happen with Christmas decorations!

It is pretty sad when you think you are sleeping in and when you get up it is only 6:30 am. At least with us thinking this is sleeping in we should have no problem making rope drop.....

I've heard it's done in stages... MK first to get ready for the MVMCP, then the other parks.

That's a late night and early morning for the little ones. With a 9pm dinner, you won't get back to your room til close to 11pm. That's an early wake up to get dressed, get to Epcot, and then to Akershus.

I keep looking at mine, but for the most part I'm pretty happy with them. I've left 2 credits and two nights available for BOG.

I also can't believe how much I've missed in this thread by not being on the DIS for a few days...eek!

Nov 7 - Kona Cafe, 7:45 am (OOP, our DDP ends on Nov 6 when we check out of our first hotel...hoping to make RD at the MK this morning)

I still have 2 TS credits left each, (for Nov 4 and 5) but haven't planned on what park to go to on the 4th (maybe AK for the am EMH?) and 5 (take in the pm EMH at HS?). I would like to try out Whispering Canyon Cafe at some point, and going back to the Brown Derby would be nice too...don't know if I necessarily want to do them or not though. I might just leave them open for now and see what happens...

Looks like you've got some good ADRs. My only hesitation is I'd be a little scared to wait to book something. When you finally decide, the places you want could be books. Could make the ADRs now and cancel them later if you change your mind?

Maybe schedule a breakfast somewhere... Tusker House is wonderful. Love the characters and food.

I made mine with card stock too, but it held up very well. I used really thick card stock though. We kept it in a large ziploc bag, and I think that helped. That way I didn't have to worry about it getting wet. Also, I cut the card stock a little bigger than I actually wanted. I had planned to cut the edges if they got messed up.

So I decided to change from POR to AoA. I know my kids will love the atmosphere and after seeing all the pictures and videos this week, I was excited about it too. I called today to make the change, but my discount for FD can't be used at AoA. I remember the original CM who applied the discount said it could only be used for moderate and deluxe, but since everyone else who had PINs was able to book at AoA, I decided to give it a shot. No go! I couldn't use my PIN at a value. Oh well, I am thankful I have FD and will get to experience POR. That doesn't mean I won't try to switch to AoA if a FD is released to the general public!
