Hi! I'm new...

We're planning our first-ever family trip to Disney November 16-20. This is my first Disney World trip, and only my second Disney experience. My first was about 9 years ago, and was a half day at Disneyland during a conference.

I'm slowly reading the 100+ pages of this thread but wanted to jump in and become part of the group, if that's ok.

Thanks. We're staying at POR - officially booking today. Don't know who is more excited me or the boys. I think me - because (a) I am a Disney fanatic, and (b) I more fully grasp just how absolutely awesome this is going to be.

It's like every minute spent planning knocks a year off of my true age. By the time we'll go, I'll be a little girl again!

Where could I find the most up to date dining menus? I compared a few from a couple websites but they seem to be different! TIA!

I still consider myself pretty new to disboards, but have been closely following this page, which luckily lead me to call in and get free dining!!

We will be staying off site 11/17 - 11/24 at SeaWorld Hilton doing IOA, US, SeaWorld (for the first time) but I canceled my second week of reservations off-site to take advantage of FD on-site and to try AOA!

What are your feelings about Bibbidi Boppidi Boutique and CRT? Worth the $$ and 2 TS or overrated?? It will be our first time doing either of these! We've done Akershus and 1900 Park Fare, but I wanted to try something different...

Also, my DD loves Stitch so this will be our first experience at Ohana's
for breakfast - we really rather do dinner than breakfast?!?

Didd you make the CRT or BBB already? I would allow just a little more time for BBB. The CM yesterday told me that BBB takes about a hour and you dont want to miss CRT maybe push it 15 min back? I am assuming you have park hoppers? It looks good though! We havent done BBB and CRT-this year will be our first time yay!

Yes, we have PH...my DH insists and loves to go back and forth alot LOL

We are doing the "middle" package - the Crown I think? I booked it with the same person who made my CRT ADR and she said we'd need to allow about 40 min so the 1 hr 5 min would be fine?? I guess, my thought was worst case scenario my DH could go check in at CRT while we finished up at BBB.

I see you only have an hour between BBB and CRT...You probably will want more time in between as at that time of day, BBB might be backed up. We usually wait 10-20 minutes. But it could be longer...or right on time, but you won't know till that day.

We are doing it to try it. My mom really wanted the girls( and her) to eat there. We are also doing BBB.... I think the castle will be this one time thing because I personally think it is over rated... the food doesnt look that good to me

Thats not true. They don't have anything to do with your credit card. They don't even know what package you booked. You just check in and say the child's name. They ask what package and then you wait to be called back. Only if you don't show does the system charge your card. They don't have access to that info.

Or do you mean for CRT...again, not true, but all of the party has to be there to check in.

Am I the only one not calling every day for a FD pin? I hate going thru the process of even getting to a CM, plus I figure they are gonna have it open to the public soon anyway more than likely

So the whole time I have been planning this trip, my mom who is going with us keeps kind of blowing me off or pretending to listen. Fast Forward to Monday- got FDing. she says phew THATs a load off her shoulders ( ) did I miss something...she wasnt on a bazillion and one phone calls! So yesterday, made ADR's for 2 hours she says well did we get the castle-yes mom we have CRT...... well this Teppan Edo kamocozy place where they throw shrimp at you rotfl2: ) the girls will be scared...no mom they wont. Well I dont like it lmao: ) youv never eaten there mom. SO today, mom comes over and looks at the planning binder and sees 'RGR guess its Royal Guest Room rolleyes1 ) the cats out of the bag...she knows! The JIG is UP! No more surprise ( ) and looks at the ADR's and menus and LOVED everything... GO FIGURE
