11/12 - MK - Crystal Palace Breakfast @ 8:10 & MVMCP Tony's Dinner @ 6:10 (unless BOG opens)

Something I have read on other threads/sites about ADRs and MVMCP. If you want to do a ADR on the night of MVMCP, you should do it earlier in the evening, before the party starts (well before 7 PM). Since you are paying extra for the ticket, you should eat well before the party starts, since they provide food (in this case cookies and hot chocolate). That way you can get in line quickly before those hard to get character shots, etc

I agree. Some TS restaurants run behind. You defiitely want to be done with dinner LONG before the party starts. We usually eat at 4 or 4:30 on party nights. That fills us up for the evening and lets us line up early for one of the more popular character meets.

And if your not doing the party, would a 6pm dinner be too late? I wanna eat at CRt one night but its a party night and we arent going that night

In the past you've been able to schedule up to, but not including, 7 PM without a party ticket. So the closer t 7 the better to maximize your time in the park first. Once dinner is over, you will likely be escorted to the main entrance.

So I looked at the ressie page on disneys site...its open through the 20th so IF I wanted to go on there on the 25th(in 5 days) I can go on there and get our ressies everyday? Or do I have to wait the 2 weeks it says I have too?

I'm having a resort changing dilemma...we are booked in a Garden View room at the Poly. Poly seems to be everything I would dream about in a resort. DH and and the kids really liked the looks of WL though. I persuaded them to see things my way and we were/are all happy with the Poly. Then....a WL CL room became available with the TA discount that was not previously available. I do not know what to do and I'm in need of advice. Keep in mind we are unable to book the DDP with this TA rate so we are paying for food OOP.

The other option I am looking at is if free dining is released for my dates (long shot) we will downgrade to a moderate because we will be paying rack rate and will book at POFQ w/ free dining.

Decisions...Decisions....

Take CL at WL!!! I loved CL!

So, I just changed some of our ADRs!

I wonder what it would look like if we tracked the number of changes we make along the way? This is already my 2nd set of changes to my original ADRs from last Thursday. :lmao:

Thanks for the suggestion but the time we have fits our schedule for the day. We aren't really interested in standing in long lines for photos/autographs; we are mainly attending the party for the :santa: Christmas atmosphere, parades, fireworks, and shorter waits at attractions. Hopefully with a 6:10 reservation we will be finished with dinner and enjoying the festivities before the first parade at 8:15.

You have to wait. Sorry. The dates at on the website but you can only book if you have a reservation. The website has 190 days open so that people with a reservation for 180 days out can book plus 10. Does that make sense?:rolleyes2

Not sure if you are planning on another night at MK to view the Castle Dream Light Show or not but it happens from 6:15-6:30pm. I am planning on making an earlier 4:15-4:30pm dinner ADR so as not to miss this, plus I think from 4-7 is going to be busy in the park with people arriving for tHe party @ 4pm and the day visitors still in the park.

Yes we are planning another visit to MK so we will have the opportunity to view anything we may be missing during that time. :thumbsup2

Wooohooo! Tomorrow is my day! I get to make my ADRs at 5am tomorrow! I told DH he had to get me up at 4:30. I'm horrible to wake up in the morning, and it will take him at least 15 minutes to make me get out of bed! I can't wait!!!

Soooo cute! :goodvibes Can't wait to tell our kids, but we are going to wait until the day before we leave. ;)

Just finished making our ADRs :goodvibes and am excited that we got everything we wanted and at the times we wanted!!! Still need to call to make reservations at T-Rex but hopefully that will be another success.

Now I need to go back to bed and get a few more zzzzzzz before I have to be up with the kids for school.

WAIT! We have to call for t-rex? Do you have the number? :confused3

Question: for those of you who "test" making dining reservations ahead of time, how did you do it? I tried testing it, and I got this message.

"Please continue to search and book available dining locations online without associating your dining plan. We were unable to link your Resort reservation to dining reservations."

Is this normal?

I definitely agree with this. If you want to do any of the special character shots, you should try to do them early. Last year they had all 7 dwarfs and within an hour you coulldn't get near the area. Trying to see any of the special shows and the parade and fireworks takes up quite a bit of time. Some times will overlap and you will need to choose one over the other. We just did counter service around 5 PM to save time and even Pecos Bill's was packed that early.

Well, it looks like I will have to return to the drawing board and replan my touring schedule. Seems I have decided to go to MK on days when Wishes is not scheduled. Sigh. Have to rectify that.

By the way, Dec 2012 hours are out. :goodvibes :yay: :santa:
