I'm guessing you'll be passing the time listening to my endless worrying about my resort choice! I'm a resort changer to begin with, and now I'm worrying that the Poly will be a construction zone by the time we get there in November!

http://www.wdwmagic.com/Resorts/Dis...lloons-up-over-DIsney's-Polynesian-Resort.htm

I'm booked at Poly as well and I'm just trying to push all the construction rumors and negative reviews to the back of my mind. I really do want to stay there and I really want it to be magical! Maybe I should have a back-up choice. DH really wants to do WL so that's an option plus those rooms were just refurbed. Contemporary is where I stayed when I was little so that would be cool too. Decisions, decisions!

You know, when I called in to update my flight info with the CMs earlier today, I asked about Be Our Guest and he said something that I did not think of until he said it. The reason AoA and some of the new Fantasy Land is already open is because last spring/summer/fall was mild in comparison, and in turn the drier weather made it easier to complete things ahead of schedule. With that in mind, we are hoping for less hurricanes, rains, etc, which should aid for things like Be Our Guest and others to all be open in time for any Nov visit

Interesting! Let's hope for things to get done ahead of schedule:thumbsup2

It never hurts to call about a PIN being attached...just found out I have had a 20% off room only that needs to be booked by May 22 for use prior to Dec 20. The CM said it was sent to me in February. Hoping for a better % eventually, but we'll take 20% over nothing (we are in the minority of those whose best deal is not free dining). Hopefully the TA won't have trouble tomorrow adding it to our reservation for WL late November!

Good morning!

Your ADR ticker looks good.....But mine looks just a touch better. :rotfl2:

:rotfl: Yes it does..... I am debating on doing Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? I really wanna do TL and hoping its open when we go. ARe both open or only one? I also want to see some pics of them....not on the disney site but actual pics. Anyone know where I can find them :confused3

Try wdwinfo.com I think they have pictures of both. Not the photoshopped kind. :rotfl2:

My TA made my ADRs last Wednesday and I got all of them! Very happy!:woohoo:

Now, I'm debating whether or not to stay POFQ or CBR. Presently have reservation at POFQ and stayed there back in 2005 and loved it. I was wondering if it's better to stay somewhere I haven't been. I'm leaning more towards going to CBR. I just hope it doesn't aggravate my TA.:bitelip:

Well, I actually got 8:20 for my ADR at Crystal Palace. It does seem weird, but no worries, it still gets us into the park before rope drop and that will be an amazing picture of the castle before the crowds come in.

It felt so weird, not having to get up to make my ADRs. When I got up, I logged into my reservation and it showed all but one of my ADRs (the Fantasmic package I believe is done separately), and all were at the exact time I asked for except CP, which was 5 minutes later

I want the kids to be a part of the planning process.... I need some creative ideas on how to tell them. I know its Mothers Day BUT I had so much fun last time counting down and having Disney movie night. I am doing it on Sunday because we will be at my moms house and they are going/helping to pay,,,,so help me out! Give me your BEST ideas!

Our last trip I did a scavenger hunt (riddles) sending my kids all over he house and yard. It ended at our kitchen table where we had a box that on top said "we are going to....." then they lifted the box and we had a Mickey cake made. We taped the whole thing. They were thrilled!!!! Then a month out I made a countdown calendar that everyday they peeled off a day and under it had something we would be doing in Disney. I put a LOT of work into it last time. Now I feel like I need to do something again but don't feel like it :rotfl:. We'll see. Have fun whatever you choose to do!!

Morning all!

Nov 16 arrive
Nov 17 MK: Ohana's Dinner

Nov 19 HS: Mama melrose Fantasmic lunch
Nov 20 Rest day or BB: 1900 Park breakfast & Chef Mickey's dinner
Nov 21 EP: Garden Grill dinner
Nov 22 depart

I saw a couple cute ideas on the web.

1. do a scavanger hunt and at each clue have puzzle pieces that are a disney puzzle. Think dollar store. You could write on the back when you are going

2. do you have pictures or video from your last trip? You could give each girl a picture from the trip and ask if they want to do that again? or with your parents this time( not sure if they went last time. :confused3

3. my favorite is to do a disney meal. Make things that you remember from your last trip.

Just some thoughts.

If you have a video camera, you could record yourself (or whoever really) holding up bristol board or poster board or something that says (piece 1)We're (piece 2)Going (piece 3)To (piece 4)Disney World! and then play it for them when you're at your mom's house. I would set up some clues around the house first though, essentially getting them to look all over the place for the clues, and have the last one lead them to the living room or wherever the tv/dvd player is so you can play the video. Maybe have the clues incorporate something about traveling but nothing too obvious, and maybe have a little candy with each clue? I dunno...I've never done anything like that before, so I'm not sure how much time it would take to set up or if it could be done...just a thought though :thumbsup2

Or, if you have the 2012 planning DVD you could get everyone together to watch it, and then at the end announce the trip...

These are all great ideas! I think since its gonna be nice and my parents have a big yard im gonna do a scavenger hunt to find a special Mothers day surprise. I was gonna announce we are staying in a royal guest room BUT if we get FD and have to switch I dont want mom to be disapointed(thats HER surprise). I just have to think of clues now. Thats the hard part!!!

Since you are wanting to do this on Mothers Day.....Just before serving desert you could pull out all Disney party favors. Plates, cups, hats, those little blow out things. Then you could sit back and see if the theme hits any of them. Once it does that opens the door to the excitement of a new trip as well as memories of the last trip.
