Does anyone know if Disney is still doing either of these promotions/specials

1) The last two times we went to the park, if we did certain things before noon, like stop off for a quick service meal somewhere, we got coupons on the receipts for 20% off at specific shops in the different parks, if we shopped before noon. Being pin collectors, we realized unless we wanted a pin that was about to sell out, if we waited for the coupons, we saved a bit a money on those

2) When we went in 2009, they sent us an e-mail about a month or so in advance offering us a $1000 gift card for $700, but it had some restrictions (could not be used for dining, etc). Someone said if you have used another pin for your vacation, you are not eligible for it, but others have said it can happen with other pins

The GC offer we received was a joke. It was for $2 off any GC order.


I saw people reporting they were doing the 20% off coupon during SB but not when we were there in early March.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was sitting here typing a reply, and realized you're right... with sleeping late, traveling to and from the Richard Petty track, traveling to and from DTD, dinner and MVMCP... there is just no way we can it all that in. Back to the drawing board. UGH!

Ok...so I was going to do an ADR-less trip....but I just couldn't help myself! We are dining at Tusker House, Ohana, LeCellier, 50's Primetime, and Crystal Palace. I made my ADRs this morning and got everything I wanted at the exact times I wanted...YAHOO! It's much easier to get the times you want with a party of 2 rather than our normal party of 6!

So....now we wait for free dining..... We are staying at AoA and I keep having this feeling that FD won't be offered there at FIRST and then included later. I'm a chronic resort changer...so we'll see how it goes!!!

I couldn't go without an ADRs either, even if I wasn't getting the dining plan. Everyone seems to be having good luck today!

We received this when we at lunch at Cosmic Ray's Nov 2010. We ate around 11:30, and the coupon was good for 5 days if we shopped before noon. The coupon was attached to our receipt, and I'm sure a lot of people don't even pay attention to it.

I just booked our Nov 2012 trip and I'm so excited. We are checking in late on Nov 2nd and staying until Nov 7th. I totally forgot that since we are actually checking in on 11/2 that I could book my ADR's today and not tomorrow as I had originally thought.
Luckily, I was able to book everything I wanted and at the times I wanted.

Let me know what you think.

11/2 - late arrival - probably QS dinner at resort (AoA)
11/3 - early breakfast at CP - MK day
11/4 - early dinner at Sci-fi - HS day
11/5 - dinner at Teppan Edo - Epcot
11/6 - dinner at GF Cafe - MK day (If Be our Guest does open early, then I will change this)
11/7 - lunch at Le Cellier - Epcot - evening flight home

We're only doing one character meal this time as we have already tried all the ones our 2 boys would be interested in and we really would like to try out some other restaurants and it's only a 5 day trip this year rather than the longer trips we've taken in the past.
Now, we just have to wait an see if FD will be offered for our dates.

It was an email offer which I received about 3 weeks before our March trip this year. I had read previously of the offer you mentioned and was excited until I saw the ridiculous "deal". Disney really has cut back on the discounts but the prices keep going up

Does anyone know what time Hallowishes is? 8 or 9...? I have a reservation for 6:55 for Ohana but am thinking of pushing it back to 7:55 to make it easier to pick up the rental after a full day of AK (closes at 5 that day). I *think* we'd be able to make the 6:55 too - thats almost two hours so it should be OK right?

Hey everyone!! I can't believe this thread is already on page 37!

I called yesterday to change our reservations... we are officially going Nov 11th - Nov 19th, staying at POR. Of course, the resort may change.

During my phone conversation, I asked about the possibility of FD for Nov, and the CM told me they should be releasing it about a week after the current code ends, which is May 18th. Keeping fingers crossed that we'll see FD by the end of May!

So I've really been working on our itinerary and would appreciate some feedback...

Day 1 - Arrive around around 10am
Epcot
L - CS in Epcot
D - Garden Grille

I know Epcot will be crowded, but we've decided we want to catch the last day of F&W. We'll probably just go for a few hours, have dinner and then head back to the resort to swim and get a good nights rest.

Day 2 - MK/HS
B - CRT
L - CS
D - O'Hana

We'll stay in MK for most of the day, and after dinner we'll hop to HS for the Character Dance Party that only happens during evening EMH.

Day 3 - AK
B - Tusker House
L - CS
D - WCC

Day 4 - HS/MK
B - Hollywood & Vine Play & Dine
L - CS
D - CA Grille

Need thoughts - Our plan is to go to HS for most of the day, but we want to hop over to MK for MSEP, which is scheduled for 7pm. If BOG is open, I may schedule dinner there (or tomorrow); otherwise we'll have dinner at CA Grille then take the monorail to MK. I'm just not sure how early we should eat dinner in order to get a good spot for MSEP. Our other option would be to have a late dinner since tomorrow is a sleep late day. If we do this, what time should I schedule our ADR for after the MSEP? What are your thoughts? Before or after the MSEP? What time?

Day 5 - DTD/MK
B - no ADR
L - T-Rex
D - BOG (if available)

We will be going to the MVMCP so we are just going to sleep late (I'm sure the kids will need the rest), then DH is going to take the kids to the Richard Petty track to watch the cars for a bit, while I go shopping. Then they'll meet me at DTD for lunch at T-Rex. After that, we'll head back to the resort to swim and relax until we got to MVMCP around 4pm.

Day 6 - MK/HS
B - Chef Mickey's
L -
D - Sci Fi Dine In

We are going to sleep late since we'll be out late at the MVMCP the night before, have a late breakfast around 10am at Chef Mickey's, then an early dinner at Sci Fi Dine In before catching Fantasmic!

Day 7 - EP
B - Akershus
L - Chefs de France
D - Teppan Edo

Yep, that's a lot of ADRs for one day, but we'll just have to make it work. Akershus is a must do for DD, and we want to see Remy @ Chefs de France AND try Teppan Edo. Hopefully we can walk it all off. After dinner, we may head over to the Boardwalk to check out the night time entertainment.

Day 8 - MK/HS/EP
B - Crystal Palace
L - CS
D - Via Napoli

Yes, it's going to be a busy day, but it's our last. I've actually thought about going to AK too just so we can say we did 4 parks in one day, but we'll see how much energy we have! Since it's our last day, we'll head to MK first (I have to say buy to the castle), then we'll head to HS for a while, then to Epcot for dinner and to watch Illuminations. If we are able to everything we want at HS earlier in the week, we may just head to EP.

Day 9 - Go home.

So that's it! Day 9 we will head home. Please let me know what you think.

I got my MVMCP tickets in the mail!!!! Well yesterday but I got it today.

YAY!! My family will be going to MVMCP for the first time ever. My family will be going on Nov 12 and I can't wait!!!

We are arriving late on the 11th, so we are just doing the Christmas party the next day so have a nice paced day. Instead of trying to get up early and get to a park.

We are however checking out a day early. Instead of checking out on the 18, we are checking out on the 17.

ok, here are my thoughts. Tomorrow is my ADR day, would appreciate any input.

Going to be down for my super quick birthday celebration, trying to fit a lot into a little time. Myself, DH, DS's 11 & 8...

Hoping for free dining, if so--we'd be getting 5 TS & 5 CS credits each,(arriving too late to use them arrival day so we'll be able to double up on some 2 TS meals, and spending one day at IOA helps too) If no free dining, I'll be canceling a bunch of ADR's, lol.


Sat night, flight is late...check in and hit the sack (probably at POR!!)

Sunday-MGM, using 2 Counter Service credits each person today (saving TS credit for tomorrow)...using counter service for lunch and dinner (probably at Backlot & ABC Commisary or Pizza Planet)....plan on being there for rope drop and staying till Fantasmic (getting a CS dinner to eat while waiting)

Monday--MK (easy WDW doesn't recommend MK today, but it's my birthday and I have to be at MK on my birthday!! )--CRT for lunch (using 2 credits each)--DS's will hate it but hey--it's my day!!, counter service for dinner while we wait on the evening parade

Tuesday--IOA for Harry Potter....plan on getting there at rope drop, leaving around 4 (DS's aren't into thrill rides/coasters AT ALL, we're really just there for Harry Potter, everything else is just gravy).....Dinner at Yatchsman around 6:00 (2 TS credits each)

Wednesday--AK--counter service lunch somewhere 1 credit each, dinner at Cape May (1 TS credit each)

Thursday--leave for airport by 9, breakfast using 1 CS credit each at resort

I hear WL is beautiful around the holidays! We're a family of 5 so we haven't found a good way to stay there yet. Some year I'll have to leave the DH at home so I can stay there!

7th - Arrival Day...Check in at OKW, explore the resort, dinner @ Olivia's

8th - BBB at MK in the morning (fingers crossed, I get that), dinner at CRT

9th - DHS with dinner @ The Flying Fish. Love this restaurant! Hopefully Osborne Lights will be going on.

10th - AK and then head to DTD for dinner @ Bongo's and possible visit to Disney Quest.

11th - EP with dinner @ San Angel

12th - My college age DD flies home this day. Maybe a possible breakfast??? Olivia's or maybe Ohana's?? The rest of us will head to DHS for the day. THIS is where I do not have a restaurant picked for dinner. We had done most of the restaurants in the park before...maybe Cape May??? Big River Grille??? Thoughts???

13th - EP with dinner @ Rose & Crown.

14th - MK with dinner @ Chef Mickey's. This is our tradition to close out the vacation.

15th - Departure Day. Depending on flight times (have not booked that as of yet) If we had not gone to Ohana's on the 12th...I think I would love to go to Ohana's Breakfast with Lilo/Stitch.

SOOOOOOOO...lol...hopefully will work well...I am so looking forward to BBB for my little one and CRT. Hate that my older DD has to leave mid vacation...but otherwise would of had to attend during Thanksgiving and just not something we wanted to do.

I'm hoping that Osborne Lights will be up and running on the 9th (Josh says so..??) If not, I may have to switch some days around so that older DD can see them. She didn't go with us last trip and missed out on the lights...so really want that for her.
