Has anyone done Pirate League? DH & I are considering doing this for DS who will be 6 at the time... it all depends on if he is still into pirates when we go...

My boys did Pirate League soon after it opened, they would have been 11 and 6 I think. I originally only signed up my younger one thinking the older one would be way too cool for that, but when I told him about it he said he wanted to do it too. It was great- the whole experience is really cool. They get pirate names and certificates. We didn't do the costumes, just make-up. They also got a bandana and earring and pendant. The only thing was we were there late and decided to take the make-up off before we left because knew they'd fall asleep on bus and the make-up is NOT easy to get off. Be prepared and bring something good to clean them up with. But I would recommend it!

My DSIL took her family of 6 for their one and only Disney trip, she spent about $10,000. It was in August about 3 years ago and a hurricane came through, stalled moved away and then came back. They had torrential rains the entire week. I felt so bad after all that money and planning. They still had fun but that puts a big damper on it.
We had tornados touch down in the neighborhood next to ours today! No power all day!

Looks like I'm a little late to the party! I was trying to read all of the thread before posting but I am only on page 100!

We are coming November 23-28! Staying at AOA in the little mermaid section with Free Dining! This is our 4th trip, but our 1st one at Christmas time!! We are so excited!! Sooo looking forward to the cooler weather! We usually go in the summer. Last year we were there over the 4th of July... It was HOT & PACKED! Are the crowds any lighter the day after Thanksgiving? We are also trying to decide if the MVMCP is worth the extra money.. Opinions??

I always swim at WDW in November...some evenings are a little chilly, but usually days are fine for swimming. Better to take the suits and not need them, then the other way around!

I've been wondering the same thing and right now I just can't justify an extra $200++ just for a few more hours at MK with hot chocolate and cookies. BTW, our trips overlap! We'll be there 25th-30th!

Do you want to know how confused I am? When I read this I kept thinking, "second day, second day, I just added one day, what is she talking about?" My brain is fried today. Can't think another thought.

Those staying at AoA, when you called did the CM try to talk you into a different room? We are staying in the Little Mermaid part and he said with small kids I may want to reconsider because it is at least a 20 min walk to the bus. I'm going to need a bus to the bus. LMAO

We are staying at AOA Nov 23-28.. They never said anything about it being a 20 min walk! We have a 2 year old.. I think we may drive to the parks more this trip. Luckily we live within driving distance of WDW! Only 9 hrs..

Jumping into the party here. I'm going 11/29-12/2 for a solo birthday weekend. While going over the CLP narrator, I've discovered Whoopie's narrating on my Epcot day. I've got a ressie already for Teppan Edo and I'm wondering if I should try to switch it over to a CP package. Is this something I should try to see? My family tend to avoid the crowded shows but a Whoopi Goldberg Christmas story sounds hard to pass up.

Just noticed that you are in Alabama. We are in Birmingham and driving. We are taking little ones too. My son will be 1.5, my youngest daughter will turn 4 right before we leave, and my oldest will be 8.

Personally I don't think it's 20 minutes.... It's about the same as the furthest rooms at POP Century and that was maybe a 10 minute walk....

What part of Birmingham?? We live right outside of Birmingham!! In Harpersville, right outside of Chelsea! Highway 280 runs straight thru it! My oldest son is 13 & my youngest turned 2 in February.

We are about 10 miles west of downtown Birmingham. We actually have a Birmingham address. My inlaws are very close to you. My husband is from Wilsonville.

I think you might be right.... I mean - the Lion King suites are RIGHT next to the LM rooms - so that's like saying the end LK suites are a "19" minute walk. Yeah, I don't buy it... Looks like you'll be going around the same time we will judging by your ticker! We'll be there Nov 26-Dec 5 also in a LM room at AoA!

Okay so here goes, because I added one day today I needed to spread thigns out and change them around. I just finished changing my ADR's and all is well in my world. Now I just have to wait for the Dessert Party to open up and I'll be set.

I went from MK, MK, EP, Busy Kid day, HS, EP, AK, MK to
MK, HS, EP, Busy Kid day, Poly, EP, MK, AK, MK

Now I can sleep. Again good luck to all making CLP ressies in the morning!!
