It shortens your time in line at the resort. They have 90% of your paperwork already setup for you. They explain what everything is and then you sign a couple of things. It's kind of like online check in at the airport. You still have to stop in and check your bags but your boarding pass and seat are already secured.

Has anyone taken their girl to the Disney Barbershop on Main Street at MK? My wife wants to take DD1 since she won't be going to the BBB with DD2. I'm hoping it's not insanely crowded since I don't think we can make a ressie for that. :confused3
.

Yes we took our dd when she was 2 for her 1st hair cut! It's was awesome and cheap I believe $15 they gave her tons of stickers to keep her entertained Micky ears that say my 1st hair cut and they did her hair in a ponytail with pixie dust all over! way more affordable then bbb. You could bring a Disney princess dress from home and go there for hair! $200 vs $15??

Okay, having a very hard day with the constant coughing. I'm so tired I can't see straight. Then DH comes home from work with chicken noodle soup his mom made for me along with my favorite cookies and....wait for it...Mickey Mail!!! I still feel like crap, but that made me perk up!

Here's to everyone who got MM recently! (mine came at 37 days out) :cool1::yay::dance3::cheer2:party::jumping1::rainbow::flower1:

And Erin, I sincerely hope they find whatever is wrong with you...soon!

Hi everyone! My name is Jessica and we will be staying at the poly from 11/9-11/13. Please add me.

Our twin boys will be turning 4 on the 11th and thought this trip would be a great birthday surprise. One of my boys has autism, anyone here travelled or will be travelling with a special needs child? I would love to hear any tips you have. I know there is a disabilites board, but was just curious if anyone was going around the same time as us.

Hi Jessica:wave2: Welcome to our thread! I cannot help with the special needs questions, but hope you have a wonderful trip. What a great surprise for your boys!:cheer2:

:guilty:so ive determined im going to hell

i decided that today i would tell my mom because i cant put it off any longer,
i see she called so on my lunch i call her back to shoot the breeze and talk to her one more time before i break the news.

She tells me she just got home from the doctors and they found a lump...now what do do!!! i cant tell the woman now

I agree with AquaDame. Call her and offer support as much as possible. You can call her from Disney if you choose not to tell her you're going, but I would advise you to tell her. The way your luck is running, something will happen and it will all come out and be worse than imaginable. When you tell her, she will try to guilt you into not going, but only cancel if you feel it is necessary for your own peace of mind. I had a lump scare once and it was benign. All lumps aren't cancer, so hang on to that. My goodness, girl, this trip has been fraught with drama for you! I wish you the very best in this situation.

Yes, Harmony Barber Shop takes reservations!! And I would suggest them. I made one for DS1's first cut on 11/2 then called back to add DS9 on and had a hard time finding an opening that day! Reservations are made just like dining reservations are. The first haircut package is $18 and includes ears that say 'First Haircut' on them.

I've been away from the Dis way to long :sad1: I'm excited to say we only have 19 more days until we're in WDW!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :dance3:

Well we did it. We tacked on an extra day to our trip. Can not believe hubby was cool with it. Not making an ADR's that day *gasp* just going with the flow.

Of course now I am having buyers remorse....come on 4 weeks, FLY by!!!!

Hi Jessica, I have 2 boys with varying degrees of autism (oldest is 13 & has Aspergers, youngest is 11 & has moderate ASD). We first took the boys when they were 4 & 2 1/2, and newly diagnosed. We have been back 10 times:) because Disney is outstanding at helping make EVERY guest have a magical visit. Please feel free to send me a private message if you have any specific questions. I am going to post a link to a great blog on dining with spectrum children at WDW.

I am happy to provide tips or info if I know what you are wondering about. I love helping with Disney trips:).

Good Morning!! :goodvibes

Even though my documents came in already, haven't picked them up yet....heading to AAA this morning to get them, so excited!!!! I can hardly believe its almost here. Wish I could have gotten to their office before now but no worries, today is the day!! I was waiting for my magical express to show up before I went - this way I can go get everything.

Erin....hope they can figure out what's wrong. I know it can be frustrating. I have 4 small herniated discs in my back as well as fibromyalgia- a condition that affects many and often goes undiagnosed- one needs to see a Rheumatologist to confirm diagnosis. All is know is some days I can hardly move out of bed and I always deal with some pain or another. And when my back gives out, I am usually laid out for a few weeks, not fun. They do need to get to bottom of what's wrong if for no other reason, than to put your mind at ease and hopefully its nothing too serious and nothing they can't treat. So try and stay encouraged.

Well off to go do some work before I leave for AAA. Hope everyone has a great day!! :cool1::cool1:

Congrats!! So exciting!!!! Are you all packed?!

Erin - hope you're feeling better soon!!

24 days left here!

Congrats!! So exciting!!!! Are you all packed?!

I have all of our "Disney stash" stuff- breakfast stuff, paper plates, ponchos, lanyards, power strip and chargers, toiletries, light up stuff for nighttime, etc. I haven't packed clothes yet- we are having an unseasonably warm October, and we are all still wearing our summer clothes. Normally, we would be in fall clothes so I could have the shorts packed away.

We'll get there- the girls are doing their own packing (I'm sure I will double check theirs though...) so I am only responsible for mine now. And, whatever we forget can be bought while we are there!

Sounds great! You're almost there!! I'm the exact opposite, I started packing clothes and that's about it. Enjoy your trip!

I still need to get it all together and packed up, finish cleaning the house for our house sitter and finishing closing on our house. PLEASE can we just close on the house already! I haven't had a day off in almost two weeks and will be working/volunteering up until three hours before my plane leaves. Straight to the airport from the zoo (volunteer training that day) for me!!

We still need to hit the dollar store for some more glow stuff, but I think we have purchased all that we need for the trip.

The big thing for the next three weeks is laundry. I'm still working on putting movies on our iPads for the drive and then keeping the secret until we actually go. We'll be slammed busy with birthdays and travel and Halloween and an early family Thanksgiving until we go, so it should go by pretty quickly.

I can't wait. I'm in definite need of a real vacation.
