ok...set finally for our surprise november trip! We are DVC so all of our stays have been at DVC resorts. Jet blue just started flying out of our home airport 9or will be!) and the first week they are flying out the fairs are 75.00 each way. couldn't resist...soooooo..we are taking a short surprise trip. I was waiting to book CSR with a hopeful annual pass discount..but the same day they came out the resort showed full. We are now staying at pofq november 30-dec 4th. i was all excieted for CSR and am now trtying to get excited for pofq......but any time at Disney is GREAT!!

ok...i NOW am offically a resort jumper...been checking CSR almost daily and no go...but today...surprise they had a room at annual pass discount rate..so i went with my gut and switched to CSR from POFQ...never stayed at either....hope i made the right choice!!!!!!! i think it was all the talk about the comfy pillowtop beds at CSR that won me over......lol

Our favorite resort is POFQ!! But I'm sure CSR will be wonderful as well. I'm just partial to FQ and the boat to DTD and the smallness of the resort. Don't second guess yourself or you'll go nuts. Either one will still mean you're at Disney!!!

Question: How did you discover the DIS boards?

I was reading my new UGuide and thought that was where I first heard of the DIS, but they do not list it in their book. (probably b/c of some of the hateful, snarky posts) Then I remembered I heard about it on the Mom's panel.

I found the boards by accident when I started researching my first trip in 2009 for Christmas. I am so glad I did because we went between Christmas and New Years and had all our ADRs. I also followed the advice to go early and when we did we were able to do so much more.

So excited that my principal approved my personal say for our trip! Everything is falling into place! I am at 58 days and I am so excited.

Just got my 3 personal days approval today by my superintendent! (Good thing since flights are booked non-refundable...) Put that together with the 2 days off of school for deer hunting season (as big a holiday as any in this neck of the woods) and the 2 weekends as the bookends and we are in for a nice Disney stay!

That is really nice! Yeah, I was hoping mine wasn't going to deny my leave either. We also booked our non-refundable airfare mo ths ago. That would have been really ad if the time was denied.

I joined DIS in 2010, even though we'd been going every year for a while at that time. There is always something new to learn. And it's just so nice to talk to people who love Disney the way I do. I've met a lot of super nice people on the boards. And especially on this thread!

Really? Kids get 2 days off school for hunting? I've never heard of that. Sure helps when you're planning a trip to Disney! So glad you got those extra days you requested. You really have to step out in faith when you buy those non refundable airline tickets, right? What a load off your mind the approval must have been! Enjoy!
