OMGosh! I totally missed your post!!!!! :welcome: I will go back and find it and get your ADR's!

do they do soft openings for resturants or is that what this is??
YES......they did with Via Napoli and La Hacienda. Soft openings are not announced, which is why I don't personally consider this "preview" a soft opening. During soft opening, restaurants just take walk ins, NO ADRs. And just like soft opening for an attraction, they could close at anytime or not be fully operational.

Via Napoli had soft openings from August 2-Sept 10th the year it opened, almost a month of testing/tuning.

For Hacienda, on August 27th, disney announced that they would be taking reservations for La Hacienda that day. Reservations were accepted for dates after October 15 and they started soft openings mid Sept. So again, it was like a month of soft opening time it looks like there.

of course disney doesn't stick to doing everything the same way each time, but that's what they've done historically. This "preview" thing is all new though.

After probably an hour on hold, I'm none too pleased that I will have to give my credit card info while on the commuter van on my way to work. Never mind, my call will have been dropped going through New Orleans East - the cell service has been undependable in that area for the last month or so.
I'll wait until I get to work. Am I a great employee, or what!
LOL_ don't you hate that??I am on hold forever, finally get through and start making ressies and the call is dropped! I always get the CM's name and info first thing and ask them if the call is dropped could they call me back (provide your #!!!).

ooo thats a good idea because I always get my call dropped :(

I'm getting excited about our trip. My wife told me last night to shut up about it because I'm driving her nuts. She's the only one I can talk to though since it's going to be a surprise trip for our girls.

Here's the rundown. Call me crazy if you'd like.

Drive from Texas 11/16
Arrive at AoA 11/17
Relax at pool, check out DTD and visit friends in Orlando
Epcot 11/18
ADR Chef de France Dinner
MK 11/19
BBB for DD2
Barbershop for DD1
ADR Chef Mickey Dinner
HS 11/20
ADR Play and Dine Breakfast
ADR Fantasmic! Hollywood & Dine
AK 11/21
DTD 11/21
MK 11/22 (Thanksgiving Day)
Hopefully BOG Lunch
ADR CRT Dinner
Kid's Choice 11/23
QS Lunch and Dinner
Drive home 11/24
Arrive in Texas 11/25

My DD1 will be 7 at the time of the trip and went to WDW for her 5th birthday. My DD2 will be 4 just before this trip and will be celebrating her birthday the week we are there. We've got the standard LM room at AoA, MYW base tickets for 6 days and DDP. Mostly we'll be having breakfast in our room (cereal) or on the go (breakfast bars, drinks, etc). Mostly will do QS for lunch and then TS for dinners, except for the last day.

I think we're going to drive our car to the parks rather than take the buses, as I expect those to be a bit of a zoo, plus since we're staying in the LM rooms the buses are a bit of a hike from the rooms. We stayed at Pop last time in the 50's rooms and that was a bit of a beating at the end of the day.

We're debating on telling the girls either the week before at DD2's birthday party or just getting in the car and going and letting them figure it out when they get there. We'll be picking up DD1 from school at the end of the day and then leaving straight from there, which should be fun. Which would you do?

we will give up F! and its package in favor of more DTD/DQ time if we get BOG.... and everyone agreed :)

I'm glad ya'll are all in agreement. :thumbsup2

I'm surprised at the fact that I'm not trying to get an ADR for BoG on our last park day. I'm just hoping maybe we can get a CS lunch during a soft opening on the 1 day we're at MK, aside from MVMCP.
