November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

squeee! Two weeks from right now I'll be getting started on my first WDW day!
I am sooooo ready for this trip.

Where at in MD? Maybe I can go get them for you, lol!! Looks as if the firsts of our November group are leaving today for WDW! HOPE YOU ALL HAVE AN AWESOME AND MAGICAL TIME!! Hope its everything and more esp. with all the intense planning we all have done and even more so after what we east coasters have had to endure over last few days, horrible. Our photopass puls came yesterday! Can't believe how close it is. My ticker looks like Mickey is going to be hugging the Pop sign. Ha Ha! Everyone who leaves soon have tons of fun! Hopefully no delays for anyone.

trying to decide if we should leave earlier than planned on saturday just to be on the safe side.


Also think i just sprained my ankle at work..oh nooo

So sorry this happened.

So the remaining 8 members of our trip have all received their ME stuff..

So I called ME to find out if there was a problem.
Seems our TA who has had our flight information since Sept 11th has not done anything with it.

So the CM entered it all in and then went on to tell me that since it is so close to our travel dates that my tags won't have my flight info on them and will take longer to get to my room
And to help the ME people out I should just go ahead and pull all my luggage off the carousel myself and drag it to the podium

This is second thing our TA has screwed up, I'm afraid to find out what else.

So now what? Will my luggage get to my room or not?


This is the second thing our TA has screwed up on... not trip ruining, but still very very annoying!!

Thats stinky. Hopefully everything else will go smooth.

Only 1 day until we arrive at WDW. I'm so excited!!!!!

The only thing left for me to do is pack and get the camera ready. I already made my packing list so it should be easy.

I was a little worried that flights would be delayed or cancelled but I checked today's flights from BWI and seems they are all departing on time. So that gives me hope for tomorrow's flights.

I wonder why the first MVMCP (Nov 9th) sold out already. I figured it would have been fairly empty compared to other nights so far away from Christmas.

So glad to hear from those who experienced that storm! Glad everyone came out okay.

Glad to hear you all seem to be doing OK, here's hoping the worst is over and that airlines get back to normal soon enough for all your trips.

Going to try and book my preferred viewings for Wishes and Illuminations today!
Have started my packing list but I won't start packing until a day or two before we leave - wish I had a better idea what the weather is going to be like! I'm hoping for a bit of winter sun - it's gone really cold here the last week or so (I know I shouldn't complain after the weather you've all had!)

Your ADRs look great! And happy birthday to your DH (a little early)! Yes, I'm hoping for Florida sunshine as well. Nothing wrong with hoping for that!! It's been really cold here in Ohio as well and has been raining for 6 days!! I'm ready for it to STOP! i don't pack until a day or two before we leave either. I do gather a few things to have ready to pack though.

I have a 9:00AM appointment for dd at Harmony Barbershop on Sunday, November 25th that I am going to cancel. If anyone wants it, let me know.

How frustrating! That is exactly why I do everything myself. Then if something gets screwed up I have no one to blame but myself! I did the same thing and the TA screwed up my flights and a few other things, so I said never again!

Will you have a lot of luggage? If I were going to have to pull it off of the luggage rack anyway, I might just take it onto the ME myself so I'd have it. But if you have lots of bags, I wouldn't bother. When you get your tags, check to see if your resort is on them. If so, they will definitely get to your hotel. I'd be upset too!

That is strange. I would have thought it wouldn't be all that popular so early. We went to the first MNSSHP last year (Sept 13th) and I didn't think it was crowded at all.

I know, I have had mine since the day they went on sale. The only thing I can think of is since it is getting around that the new Fantasyland was viewable with meet and greets, etc, during the Halloween parties, some people might feel this is their best shot to see it before the grand opening in December

I just needed to share my excitement. We are still 9 days out, but today I'm going to call the Disney Florist and order a Christmas surprise for my mom! I'm so excited *bounces* But I am the worst at keeping a secret!

LESS THAN 24 HOURS!! We leave at 5am tomorrow morning- arriving in WDW by 2pm!!

I've got almost everything on my list checked off- just need to pack the car, get some $$ from the bank, and do some cleaning around the house.

Disney, here we come!!!!

So now what? Will my luggage get to my room or not?

Part of ME is that you don't have to go to baggage claim to get your checked bags. But since your TA messed that up you should go to baggage claim & get your luggage. You can take it with you on the ME bus. The bus driver will stow it with the carry-on bags but you will need to tell the driver which resort you are going to.

It's a headache but there is also peace of mind knowing your luggage is with you.

I'm pretty sure the first MVMCP sold out last year too. I think part of it is that it is Vetrans Day weekend so you have a lot of visitors for that. Plus you have a lot of people who want to check it out and report on it.

I'm planning on the 16th. I haven't bought my tickets yet though.

Holy Moly the first mvmcp is sold out!!! Glad i bought our tickets last week.

I was on the fence for weeks about buying some for that day (trying to hold off to see what the weather would be like, etc.) but just finally took the plunge and bought tickets yesterday. What an incredible stroke of luck! Although I'm not sure how I feel about being there with sold out crowds... .
