To make matters worse, my girls grandmother passed away last night (my ex's mother) here in Ohio and they (my 2 girls) had been planning a trip here for the funeral. Meanwhile, my older daughter's 5 year old has been running a fever of between 103 and 105 just since yesterday. So it's hard for her to plan whether to come here or not.

I won't go into all the details and logistical problems, but suffice it to say, it will be an interesting few days ahead for all of us. I don't tend to worry or get stressed about things, so I'm good there. It would just be good to have a couple of things settled for my girls' sakes. Thanks for listening to my middle-of-the-night ramblings! My DH is fast asleep and doesn't even know our daughter is in labor. He'll get a surprise when he wakes up in a couple of hours!

Meanwhile, I'm watching House Hunters and Property Brothers"

I did not see this post either, but please accept my sincerest sympathy and prayers for everyone. xo

Hi guys!

I'm kind of sad this morning...
We are thinking of postponing our trip to January. I was checking the school schedule yesterday noticed a week in January where the kids have 3 days off, so that would mean missing only 2 days. Hard decision!

If we decide to change, I'll be canceling our dining reservations, including CDP with NPH.
I'll let you guys know first. :)

Thats stinky but at least your still going and if you like to plan you get to have more fun doing that.

60 Days to Go on the countdown clock!!!!!!

How about everyone else?! Getting so excited! Wish we could skip over the next month! We're almost there!

67 days for us!

I WANT TO JOIN! Arriving NOVEMBER 27 at WL and leaving DECEMBER 4.

MVMCP on NOVEMBER 29! :wave2:

Good morning ya'll! :goodvibes

Just wanted to share this with those that don't already have it. Its a good place to keep track of the daily temps in Orlando.

Thank you I saved it to my favs

morning all, Day 45!!!!

spent yesterday working on projects and pulling out stuff that needs to be packed not that the weather is getting cooler!! Ahhh its so close.

DD wolk up with night terrors last night which made for a long night. Hopefully disney isnt to stimulating for her and we have to do this for the next 45 nights...:coffee:

Sorry to hear this it sounds scary

I requested building 7 facing the lake. I know it's only a request and there are no guarantees but I hope we don't end up in building 8, such a long walk!

Yesterday I got the road ID bracelet that I made for DS4 that has both DH's and my cell # in case he gets separated or something. I showed it to DS and tried to explain what it was for and I think I freaked him out with with the thought of him ever getting separated from us. Honestly until reading about it on the Dis we had never thought about this idea as our kids are practically glued to our side when we go somewhere crowded. And DH isn't too thrilled about the whole idea either (he thinks that would never happen to us) but I might still make DS wear it.

The last time we went I bought my daughter a watch and wrote our cell #'s on it. I feel better knowing the kids have our cell #'s. I would def have him wear it. I've also heard about taking pix of them first thing every morning so you know what they are wearing. Scary to think about but it's better to be prepared.

Got our tickets for MVMCP last night for November 25th! :woohoo::yay::banana::dance3:

:cool1:

Is anyone surprising their kids? My DD went for the first time two years ago when she was two and she can't wait to go back. She knows we are going but obviously doesn't understand exactly when so we were thinking of surprising her that morning when we wake her up to go. Her and I watched some videos of kids getting surprised and she loved it. Just wondering if anyone can share some ideas, suggestions, or their plans! Thanks!

We are surprising our kids as well, but my youngest is 6. I plan to tell them the day we leave, otherwise, they do not sleep well the night before and that makes for cranky kids (and cranky me, lol)! I would like to tell them on the way to the airport, but dh would like to do it an hour or so before we leave so that the teens can pack their stuff. I found a small globe at the craft store (World), plan to print out a picture of Walt, and have some foam letters that they will need to unscramble for Disney. Hopefully they will be able to put it all together at that point.

Sounds great! I think they'll love it and be so surprised!!!

Have you made any decisions yet?
Still waiting to hear back from our friends... :(

The more I think about it, the more I want to change! We've been for Christmas before & to MVMCP. I would love to go again, but Jan really does work better! :flower:

Which ever way it works...... you'll be in Disney!!

I think they will be so surprised! I'm hoping I don't slip and mention it at some point. When the kids go to bed, dh and I have been making Mickey head ornaments, window decorations for our rooms, printing out signs, t- shirts, etc. I have to hide it all after I am done and I'm afraid I will leave something out. I haven't told a soul aside from my cousin 3 states away that has been gracious enough to send me some Disney Cricut cut outs. It's so nice to be able to come here to talk about it with other disers! It's hard to keep it all bottled up when I am so excited!

We are going to 25th too! So excited I can't wait to see my little ones faces they love Christmas lights !

Maybe I'll see you there! Seeing it "snow" on Main Street is going to make my life. I will probably be sobbing on the sidewalk.

The plan is to wait until we wake them up for our flight... so at least they will get some sleep the night before ;)

I have already slipped a couple times  but when they ask we just say
"no, not this year, sorry"

You have a good point about the sleep thing. I think I'll push the countdown back a day so they won't know we'll be leaving the next day. We have to leave the house at 4am so we're all going to need that sleep. And some serious coffee for DH and me.

Great that you have an early flight! My flight isn't until 5:30 at night. I'd rather be on an early flight, but could not get one. I have a feeling that the day will drag by soooo slowly for me (and we arrive late at POP)!

The kids know about our trip to DW in November but we are going to surprise them with a trip to Disneyland on Christmas Day. That will be the main Christmas present and we fly to CA the same day. The kids have been begging to go to Carsland. They even suggested we cancel our Nov trip to DW in order to go to DL. They are going to be so surprised. I can't wait to see their faces.
As far as ideas, I was thinking of making a puzzle that's a flight boarding pass and when they put it together, they will see the destination and date of travel. There's also a t-shirt on disneystore.com that says "I'm going to Disneyland/Disneyworld".

I just made my "just-in-case" ADRs for January and SCORED BOG! :faint:

Now I'm getting all excited about the possibility of changing...

Wish my friends would decide. :confused3

The only problem with changing is... One DS is REALLY happy to change and the other is CRUSHED. (The crushed one wants to miss 5 days of school instead of just 2., but he says it's because he really wanted to be there for the Osborne Lights.)

Decisions, decisions... :confused3

Hello everyone! I don't venture out into the 'regular' boards that much(usually stay on the TRs or the DDC boards) but I saw this thread and I started reading.... We will be staying at POFQ from Nov.2-12. Going to the first MVMCP on the 9th and will be in DHS on the 10th to see the Osbourne lights. We are really excited for this trip and it will be our DS first Disney trip. He just turned 1 in August.

I hope you all have great trips!!!! pixiedust:

Good morning everyone! Update on my newest granddaughter,Caroline: she is doing pretty well but has some breathing issues and cannot eat naturally. I am here in Virginia, but haven't been able to see the baby yet. Oh forgot to say she was born yesterday morning. My daughter got to hold her yester evening for the first time and I will get to go into the ICU to see her today. The baby can't be stroked or cuddled so as not to over-stimulate her while she is concentrating on breathing. We feel so blessed and know that eventually her lungs will strengthen and she'll be fine. Thanks to all of you who prayed an d sent encouragement! It really meant a lot!

I'm on my iPad, so can't multi quote, but to all those who are so excited about getting close, I'll just say " dancing bananas" to you!!!!!

I use Shadowryter for my t-shirt designs and LOVE everything she does. And she is prompt!!

As far as maybe changing to January, it sounds like a good idea for your family. Just don't leave our November family!

Okay, I'm off to do a little baby shopping and then to go to the birthing center. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

WOW! Congrats!!!!!! :cool1:  :cutie: and you are right the baby should be just fine once the lungs get more developed. I understand the over stimulation thing. A friend of mine had her babies at 25.5 weeks and unfortunately one of the twins didnt make it(long story and lots of health issues0it was a hard descision but for the best) anyway Addy-is now 2.5 and doing wonderfully!!!! But they are right she needs to concentrate on getting stronger:)
