November 2012...Let's Countdown Together

My family hasn't been there in 9 years (10 next year when we go). I couldn't believe it when my son said he didn't want to go-he is obviously not thinking clearly. I have even offered to bring his friend. My daughters want to go but my husband is thinking the money could be better spent, something about college. My mother passed away last June. She didn't leave a will and lived 550 miles away. I only have a brother who has made the whole process a mess and I am the personal representative for my mom's estate. I decided that we were going as a family to Disney World and we are all going to have a good time!!!!! There really isn't a good time to go with everyone's schedule so Thanksgiving week is the date.

We are getting ready to book for Nov 3-10. Just waiting on my lovely:rolleyes: DD14 to decide if she wants to go or not. I gave her until March 1 to decide. I hate hate hate to take the kids out of school but this is the last time all 5 of us will get to go together :sad1:. I have struggled with the dates but after much debate we feel that week will be best for all of us.

I am having the hardest time deciding when we want to go but am jumping in here since November is a top contender at this point...

Anyone here regularly do the week after Thanksgiving? Seems like kind of a popular week here on the dis, wasn't sure if it was in the regular world or not...

I really like the idea of heading down the Friday they all have off anyway. I have no problem taking them out of school for the following week but like having an extra travel day so we can start any time of day....

But then I think about going in January and how convenient it would be for their gifts to be spending money at wdw. ACK!!

But then i think about seeing all the Christmas decorations and decorating a cabin at Ft. Wilderness and ..and..

Will I ever decide??!! LOL

We are booking this Saturday for Nov. 24-Dec. 1, 2012! Renting points through a friend who owns at DVC, staying at AKV Kidani. Excited to travel with my sister and her family who will be taking their kiddos for the first time. Cannot wait!

Confirmed part of our trip yesterday. Taking the Autotrain down from Lorton, VA to Florida and departing on Thursday Nov. 15th, arriving in Florida on Friday Nov. 16th. We will then spend two nights in a 2BR villa at Saratoga Springs Resort. Sunday morning we'll drive out to Port Canaveral and board the Disney Dream for our 3-night cruise. Wednesday morning Nov. 21st we'll return from the cruise and hopefully we'll check back into Saratoga Springs, this time in a Treehouse Villa, where we'll stay for 3 more nights.

I'm really looking forward to having Thanksgiving Dinner in a treehouse! :)

We went to WDW for the first time ever in November 2011. We had such a great time that we are hoping to go again in November 2012. Just waiting to hear if and when the free dining plan will be offered!

Hi Everyone! We will be at BCV Nov. 21-24, 2012 for Thanksgiving. Since we will be doing 2 beach trips in the RV and going to Hawaii this year we had to squeeze in a short Mouse trip. :goodvibes

We are booked at OKW for Nov 25-30, 2012!
If I HAVE to turn 40...I'm gonna do it with Mickey. :cool1:

We have booked 8th-23rd :goodvibes we usually go in July so it is going to be strange...crowd and weather wise but looking forward to it.

Can I join your countdown?

We're booked at the Dolphin November 20th - 25th, and we're moving over to POR for the 25th - 30th. So excited to spend another Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World! It will be our first split-stay, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that works for our family.

For those of you having trouble getting teenagers on board for your trip, you may want to check out the website DisneyForTeens. There might be some things there that could help get them more interested!

Does anyone know when "Be Our Guest" is expected to open?

I don't have a lot of time to get on the boards anymore but I thought I'd join here. Booked for Nov 24-Dec 1 last week. Can't wait! Hoping for free dining. We went Nov 28-Dec 4 in 2010 and they had it then and it helped a ton!

Booked for Nov 11-18 at the THV. Now we just need to get DH and his fellow employees back to work. They were locked out by the company the Monday after Thanksgiving after they voted down a contract. I am giving it till the end of March to see what happens. Then I will have to decide what to do about our trip. DH gets a new job definitely can't go this year. :(

Count me in for November 2012!

We are doing the Beach Club for 5 or 6 days.. our dates have not been for sure set yet because we are hoping Disney might offer Free Dining sometime in November (I've heard they did in the past, can anyone vouch for this?)

If no free dining is offered to the public, hopefully getting a PIN somehow!?

Either way- we would like to go at the very beginning of Nov to catch the end of the F&W festival!

Can't wait to hear everyone elses plans!

We just decided today we will be going in November 2012, most likely the 3rd to the 10th. This is the week our school district usually has 3 or 4 days off, so there should only be a day or two of missed school. We are planning to book a Nemo Suite at the new AoA resort. Our only concern is that it the resort will still be under construction when we go, but as long as the main features are finished, I think it will be great. I can't wait to start planning!

We are going Nov 19-23 2012, had to cancel too many times before and this is the only time when the kids are out of school and they are not playing any sports!!! We are all excited to be spending Thanksgiven with Mickey and the crew!!

Have you ever done thanksgiving week before? Thinking of going back during Thanksgiving week. We were there in Oct this year, but don't want DD to miss much school this time 'round. How is it?

After a 12 year break from Disney since my wife and I celebrated our honeymoon with Mickey...we are headed back, this time with 4 kids in tow. 2 years of planning and saving and we have just booked the week after Thanksgiving 2012!!!

I never had the opportunity as a child to visit the world. So for our kids first WDW experience will be a big surprise for them on the morning of the day that we will be leaving for the world. Staying off-site at WBC Nov 24-30!!!

We are staying November 10-17 at POFQ! We are so excited!!! We are going with our whole family, my sister's husband has never been!

DW and I are going back to POFQ November 7 - 20. It has been 3 years since we were there and can't wait to go back. Really has been too long.

Just booked 16-22, short trip but it has been over 6 yrs since we last went, the only time we have between school and sports. Have not told the dd or ds. We are going to surprise them, pick them up early from school with the van packed and hit the road. We are only going to tell them when we cross the state line from GA into FL. Now I hoping I can go without letting the beans out of the bag.
