November 2012 Code Watch!!

Is there some reason to think they are doing fewer parties this year than last? Becuase that list of presumed dates only includes 3 per week. In the past they have done 4 per week, at least in December. I never looked at the November schedule that closely. I know in 08 and 2010 when we went they did Sun, Tues, Thurs and Fri. Last year they did Sun, Tues, Wed and Friday.

I am planning a summer vaca for our family right now...we are going to NYC! My hubby and older son have been, so we are all going now--but it's making me want to go to Disney even worse!! Ahhhh the joys and ease of planning a wdw vaca.....we are blessed! It's sooo user friendly and explanatory,...details, reviews, room pics as soon as this trip is all planned, I can focus on my nov disney trip and plan our ADRs!!!!!

Any of y'all going somewhere else this summer?

We are considering a trip to Chicago to visit the Field Museum, but that's contingent on the trip being earned by my daughters. Straight A's and they get to go...

If that doesn't work out, we'll probably do a Texas Beach vacation. We're VERY close to Galveston, but I'd kind of like to go to South Padre Island.

Oh - and two of my daughters are flying with my Mom to a family reunion in upstate New York this summer. Now those were some EXPENSIVE plane tickets.

I love NYC! It's been too long since I've been, but Disney is getting priority over other places at the moment

I wish I had plans to travel somewhere this summer, but with a wedding in the fall, and our Disneymoon right after, we can't really get anywhere else this year .

I'm hoping for the Sun, Tues, Wed, & Fri schedule the whole month of November. The week before Thanksgiving (2011) it was not scheduled on that Wed.

An NYC trip sounds like fun. Even though I'm right in Jersery, I haven't been to NYC in years. We aren't planning any summer trips because all vacation funds are going to this Disney trip. We were trying to squeeze in a trip to Jamaica in August for DH's cousin's wedding, but it's not going to work out because he can't get the time off from work.

I've always wanted to check out Chicago. A beach vacation sounds fun too though.

We are less than an hour away from the Jersey shore so we will probably just do some day trip this summer. I also got us season passes for the State Aquarium and the Philadelphia Zoo to keep us busy as well.

A little bummed!! Didn't realize there wouldn't be an MVMCPs during our visit 11/19 - 11/24

I can't change the dates anyway since we are working around school break - oh well, at least we were able to go the last time we visited

I decided this morning to split up the purchase of park tickets and buy one a month until I get them all purchased. I'd rather cash-flow it and not have to feel the pain of that big purchase! I've been watching that "7 for the price of six" ticket on undercover tourist. I don't know if they always offer it, but I figured I'd get started so I can start taking advantage of it in case it goes away.

Does anyone remember when ticket prices go up? Isn't it August?

Projected dates for MVMCP are out from TP. No promise they are 100% accurate until official word from WDW comes though

***These are only a prediction of dates according to TP***
Nov: 6th,9th,11th,13th,16th,25th,27th,28th,30th
Dec:2nd,4th,7th,9h,11th,14th,16th,18th
These dates have them being held on Sundays,Tuesdays and Fridays throughout Nov and Dec and no party the week of Thanksgiving

We are preeeeetty close to Galveston too! Have you heard about the new pirate thing that's opening? if you google new activities as Galveston it should come up-my hubby told me about it, I haven't looked yet to see where it is,...and I think Moody Gardens is where the new Bones/Bodies thing is...we want to see all this too---I personally HATE the water/beach of Galveston,so we rarely go over there, but 2 diff summers I have taken kids over for a 2 day trip and my mom came from out of town to meet us...we leave Daddy at home/work, and go during the week--looooots less people at the IMAX and Moody that way!!
I dont think I have ever been to South Padre--if so, I was super little,...but I think it was more Chorpus--who knows?
My price for plane tix isn't looking outrageous-yet! We gotta book by Monday...we are looking at dates/schedules this weekend.

From what I have read they historically do not have them the week of Thanksgiving and then the tentative dates were shared, so, I'm thinking they won't have it that week - it's okay, certainly won't ruin it for us, but I was thinking about whether we would attend this time and now I won't have to worry about that as an option

We are going on a Canada/New England cruise in July. Staying a few days extra days in Montreal before and Boston after. Need to make some decisons about excurisons and we will be all set.

Great thread everyone...Looking for some help...We have been twice before both end of Sept and took in MNSSHP and know we want to experience Christmas and the decor and MVMCP...so we are flexible and would like the least crowded of the month and can also go into Dec...I know avoid thanksgiving and I was thinking Nov. 25th for 10 days we come from Canada so we go a little longer to make it worth while...

Thoughts would be great from you experienced disers also if FD is announced that will determine times to go...thanks in advance

I would soooo opt for club level (one of these days I will get there!)!!! Unless of course you have things you'd rather spend the $400 on? Wild Africa Trek, signature dining, souvenirs, segway tour, etc.....

To change to the Club Level Standard would add $90 to my existing cost

To change to Club Level Honeymoon, it would be additional $190 to my existing cost.

I am just trying to figure out

1) Do we keep the robes they give us?
2) Do we need to keep the Dining Plan with all the food available to us?

Plus, as it stands now, there is no promise of getting the room location we want, so what are the odds of getting it with Club Level (view of the MK from the balcony)
