Don't think I have introduced myself either - I am going to Disney in November as well and am desperately hoping for free dining before we go. I am booked already though at Carribean Beach (not my first choice - but only one we could get into! All other moderates were booked!) from Nov 28-Dec 4th. I can't wait!

But out of all the places we have stayed......the Lodge just has our hearts.

Ok so most of you know that we have deluxe dining and have been going back and forth on the best plans for us. I am still deciding between 2 places and need your help! My DD wants to eat at CRT. I have looked at the menu and am not fond of the dinner selections. Had anyone eated breakfast? I will need to switch things around to eat breakfast but it might be worth it. The other is GF Cafe. DH and I have eaten here and LOVED it! I wanted some place for all of us to eat that isnt too upscale because of the kids and is 1 TS credit. Any ideas? Would you give up CRT to eat here? I am on the fence. If we give up CRT, we can eat at GF cafe AND have a meal for some of the days we only have 2 scheduled in case some1 is hungry. But part of me thinks just doing CRTone time to say'hey we tried it'.
Just curious......... How do ya'll pick your resorts? Do you stay with one? Or do you like to try out different ones? Hubby and I are stuck on the WL. There is a part of me that would like to try somewhere else. I have actually booked us into other resorts. But we always decide to go back to the WL. I would like to try POFQ this time. Not only would it save us about $1500.00.
I would try CRT for once. How old is your daughter? I would go to say you experienced it at least once. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the dinner. We did it in October and it was actually really good. I didn't have high expectations to go in with, but it was better than I had anticipated. But if you aren't sure about dinner, then switch it to breakfast. Yeah, glad you got moved to somewhere else you prefer instead!I just called back to Disney and was able to get into POR - garden view room!!! We initially wanted CSR but they told us they were booked (even without a pin code) so we decided on CBR. Then changed our minds to POR or POFQ but they didn't have rooms available there with the pin we recieved so we applied it to our CBR reservation. But they must have had openings or something cause we just changed to POR! And the person I talked to on the phone was so sweet and helpful! So happy!
Well it depends on that particular vacation. We like to try different stuff, but we really liked POR, and used it a lot for the trundle. The only mod I haven't done is CSR. I haven't done any values yet. We like themes of certain ones like WL and POR. Now we are DVC, so we've been staying at our home resort, BLT the last two trips and in November. For now, we will keep staying there due to the easy walk over to MK while our son is still little and wanting to spend a lot of time at MK. In the future, we will probably try other DVC resorts too. But for now, can't beat the location of BLT!!! POFQ is very nice- I really enjoyed the more intimate setting! We also love the lodge, we stayed there in early December 2009, it was amazing to be see that lobby and Christmas tree every day!Just curious......... How do ya'll pick your resorts? Yeah- welcome!!!!I'm soooo excited!!! My daughter and I will be heading to WDW for our 2nd Mom and me trip. We will be there Nov. 24 - 30. We are both so excited and can't wait! I'm booking this trip today!
We have stayed at POR this past Dec and I loved it! I loved the resort, the walking distance to the bus depots and the bus rides werent bad at all! The only one that was a problem was I think DHS because we left at a popular time and had to share a bus with POFQ. We had to stand on that one lol but every other one was pretty empty!

I want to try others like the WL but not in this trip lol maybe one day! We will venture there this time for our dinner the first nit at WCC
I just read reviews about the breakfast and heard it wasnt that good. My family does not like whatever breakfast potatoes disney serves lol. So no big lose there, for 2 credits though I want them to be full and I dont wanna go JUSt for the atmosphere alone.
