Regarding the FP... We enjoyed being about to use them late, but there were times that the kids hit their wall and were just ready to go. Twice I gave our FPs to other families. I loved being able to spread some pixie dust.
Once I actually forgot we even had them so I ended up bringing them home.
If they are going to enforce the time, I'll work my touring plan around it. I'm certainly not going to get upset over something that I have no control over. I
am interested to see how TP changes their touring plans in light of this new rule.
I'll definitely miss the ability to use late fastpasses. We often collect fastpasses in the morning and then use them in the evening. But we'll adapt...
The only thing that will really change in our park touring is that we won't even try to get a Toy Story Mania fastpass. We usually don't stay in that park long enough to be around for the start of the fastpass window, and would only be able to use it by coming back later in the evening! So we'll head straight to the ride and ride it once, or we'll wait until right before park closing.
We were at rope drop for HS, and got a TSM FP. We were able to use it around 10:30, I think.

You know those threads where Disers were discussing and sharing their pins openly? Well, one of the moderators removed them all. Goes against the policy here apparently. It's interesting how strongly the moderator worded his message. He certainly meant business! Although, come to think of it, I doubt anyone who posted meant any real harm to others. Oh well. I hope no one was too offended now that it's all history.
Anyhoos, I never did make that call to find out if I had a pin attached to my current reservation. Been too busy with work. Guess we will just have to wait till the codes for the general public are released.
At least we know we are heading to WDW in less than 10 months!
Thanks for the info. I certainly wouldn't want to be a mod on the boards. There is so much going on, and tempers seem to flare very easily on some of these boards.

Tried the nice approach yesterday and got nowhere is all.
We have that rule for a reason.. And while yes some folks have traveled on vacations booked that way with no issues.. others have NOT been so lucky. So it's been a board policy for years.

Can you save a vacation online without a deposit? I just signed up for a vacation planning dvd hoping I would get a code from that. Also, does anyone know if Jersey week is blacked out from codes? I thought I saw in a previous post that may be the case. UGH!
Yes, you can save a vacation offer. It will tell you what date it it good through. I think all of mine have expired. I need to go save some more!

Make a countdown chain. I can't tell you how great it was for our last trip. The kids new 18 months in advance. At a year we made a chain. I was so long, and hung all across our living room, but it was great! The kids loved seeing it get shorter and shorter. They took turns tearing a ring off every night. They never asked when are we going because they knew when the last ring was torn, we were leaving the next day. Made it much easier on me too!

Good morning all! I guess it's afternoon for some of you! Yesterday I discovered one good thing about me not working right now. I'm always home and not spending much money! A tank of gas lasted me an entire MONTH!! I was able to double my monthly vacation savings amount! I never realized how much I spend on eating out, and buying small things when I'm working. A little here and a little there really add up to a lot! Who knew?!
DD has decided she wants to go on a girls trip for her 7th birthday. She got an American Girl doll for Christmas, and the nearest AG store is in Dallas. I gave her the choice of a birthday party or a trip. She voted for the a trip. It will be her first plane ride, and she's so excited!! I'm happy because I miss Dallas. I used to live there before I got married. And the good news is I think I can do it cheaper than a party!! We have enough airline miles to fly for free. I have friends who live there so we are going to stay with them. I get a rental car discount through my employer. The only other stuff I have to pay for is meals and some spending money. DD's grandparents and aunt and uncles will give her money to spend at the AG store. I'm really looking forward to spending a weekend with DD in Dallas. Anyway, I'm going to plan and book that today.
