We are booked and headed to WDW 11/9-11/21 staying at BC. Then headed to US for a day trip maybe as we finish off our vacation w/ my MIL in Dayton until the 25th. I have been MIA for awhile on the boards. I was wondering if there are any rumors of discounts around this time frame. I can play w our dates here and there some. Just wondering. Thanks all happy planning.

It sounds like discounts are starting to be offered. But only though pin codes and postcards so far. Nothing to the general public. But, I would say that is a start for things to come. :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Hey everyone!! I see everyone is busy planning. I'll start next week, but first I have to get through tomorrow. I'm having my hysterectomy. I'm starting to get a little nervous, but I'm sure it will be ok. I'll see y'all in a few days!!

I feel like a complete slacker! :worship:

For anyone straddling Oct - November, the Disney YES individual enrollment dates are up on their site for October. Last date is October 31. You can't register yet, but the dates & programs are available. No WDW programs listed for November. There are DL programs for November - not that it helps any of us, but who knows!

Now Im trying to get my ADR's together. I have 2 Epcot days planned. I am not sure if I should spen one eening at the Boardwalk(eat at Cape Mays and walk around) or spen both evenings in Epcot. I have looked at the menus and want to try Garden Grill I think. I also want to try Dinner at Akershus Dining Hall with the Princesses. I just hate looking at menus for everyone! I dont know what they wanna eat lol Here is what I have so far:

Sunday:
Chef Mickeys 1/7Keeping this one
Monday:
Tusker House Breakfast 2/7keeping this one
T-Rex Dinner oopkeep
Tuesday:
1900 Park Fare or Be Our Guest(if its open) 3/7Maybe Crystal Palace this day?
Wednesday:
50's primetime Cafe 4/7keep
Thursday:
Garden Grill or cape May if we do Boardwalk 5/7thinking about Cape May Cafe Clam bake dinner
Friday:
Crystal Palace 6/7Thinking about Whispering Canyon Cafe
Saturday:
Princess Dinner at Akershus 7/7Keep this

So many great places to eat! I would love to do DxDP but too much money and too many ppl. Maybe another trip~ I just cant decide!

I keep forgetting the Be Our Guest restaurant should be open! :cool1: And I suggest doing Cape May for dinner, it's amazing! :thumbsup2

The Jersey teacher conference is November 8-9th this year, , so Jersey week is actually really the week of November 5th this year, since the 8th-9th is a Thursday/Friday of that week. The last day of Food and Wine is November 11th. So really if you arrive on the 9th or 10th, you will still be able to hit the last weekend of Food & Wine and then avoid Jersey week, since they will all probably leave by the 11th. You'd have all of the weekdays of the 12th-16th to enjoy the parks with low crowds, plus the first MVMCPs start, so the Christmas decor is up in MK by then too. Not sure it will be up in the resorts just yet, but probably getting close. I think they are saying the first MVMCP will be probably on November 7th (wednesday of Jersey week). WE plan to try and do it that following Tuesday, 11/13th probably. WE booked our trip for November 8-17th- so that we could see the last weekend of F&W and also do MVMCP and Osborne lights.

We plan to arrive probably Thursday night, 11/8 late, stay at POP one night. Check in BLT 11/9 (already booked), hit F&W festival that am (Friday) and DHS that night probably. On Saturday, 11/10, it is going to be packed everywhere, with the last of Jersey week clearing out and Veterans Day weekend, Wine and Dine half marathon at Epcot that night and Festival of the Masters at DTD. So we will probably do a tour at MK (Family Magic Tour) in the am, then swim and resort hop the rest of the day, or maybe even hit a waterpark if weather permitting. Sunday, 11/11, we plan to hit F&W in the am, knowing it will be crowded probably, but we get there at RD to do a few FW things, then we hit the booths right at 10:45am and leave by 2pm. Monday- Friday will be really light crowds according to TP, so we should be fine the rest of the week to do what we want, including MVMCP and the lights!

Thanks, good advice! I'm not 100% sure if we are going in November, but if we do, I have to catch the last few days of Food and Wine! I'm guessing that weekend will be insane, which is why I was hoping to get there Thursday to do some F&W festival before the weekend.

We did the last weekend of F&W in 2010 and Friday was manageable, but Saturday was insane! Saturday during the day might be do-able, but I'd probably stay away from Epcot at night!

We're still deciding between late September and mid-November for our trip...September we'd get to go longer, because it's value season still, and the dates just work out better for us since our AP's will still be good, but November has Food and Wine AND Christmas decorations AND better weather! It's a tough choice! I really love going in November!

I so wish we could do the YES program - the savings on tickets is really amazing! At one point I did consider going to DL instead of WDW so that we could participate, but I missed my "resort time" when we were at DL.

So wondering what the weather will be like the end of November, do I pack coats or just light jackets....I'm guessing no on the coats, since even here in Georgia we barely wear them, but then again I'm not out all day in it...need to buy some sort of Disney jackets for us all maybe end of season :thumbsup2

It could be everything. Shorts one day. Bundling up the next. For hubby and I staying a week. I usually have 3 suitcases. Plus the bathroom bag. As well as snacks and water. Then there are the pillows and quilt. We fill those lugage carts completely up. :rotfl2:

Definitely pack coats! The weather has been highly variable every year we've gone in November, but it's always been chilly at night. And we've always had at least a couple of days of downright cold weather.

We didn't bring warm enough stuff one year, and it forced us to do a lot less that trip.

Ugh! Frustrated with Disney math!! :confused3 I thought I had decided on DDP, but tonight, I decided to take another look at 1 annual pass + TIW. I just don't know!! GRRRRRRR

AP/TIW would give us more flexibility if we wanted an appetizer instead of dessert or DS wanted an adult meal instead of a kid's. We'd also get some (small) merchandise discounts & MVMCP discounts (small). I just don't know! I wish there was a chart to just plug the numbers in somewhere! :teacher: Of course, I did my own chart/spreadsheet, but I am just not sure :headache:

We liked TIW on our last trip, but I wish I hadn't gone with the annual pass. We ended up not making the second trip on my pass, so I didn't get my money's worth out of the AP.

I really like the DDP, but every time I've done the numbers it comes out a wash. And I lost just over 50 pounds this year - I can't afford to eat dessert at every meal, or I'll be having to diet again after I get back home!

Has anyone done the quick service dining? It seems like it might be a nice option with the refillable mugs, but I haven't worked those numbers at all.

ugh my dh is gonna kill me! he already thinks I pack too much during the hot weather, now I'll be packing for 2 kinds of weather!!!!!

We did the QS last trip, it was free though with our value stay, we had normally always got the regular dining for free but they changed it on us :( Anywho we decided not to upgrade because we wanted to try the water parks this go around, and my 2 older kids were considered adults, well although we were happy with it we really really missed the regular dining experience, of course this comes from a family that rarely splurges on dining out a whole lot, so my kids think they are in heaven when they get to actually order a drink instead of water and dessert! :rotfl:

Sorry Ive been MIA today....I had Jury Duty  OMG! I hated it but its over and now back to Disney planning AND coupons! Yes thats my other love :)
