WELCOME! We'll be there Thanksgiving week as well! I'm jealous, though, as you'll be there for 1 day longer.....:sad1:

Your plans sound great. And we'll be at Epcot on Sun. 11/18, MGM on Mon. 11/19, MK on Tues. 11/20 and Epcot/Candlelight Processional on Fri. 11/23!:cheer2:

Well I've already moved around my plans....again :rotfl:

I found out about Remy....and his special appearances in Epcot, since they are not on Sundays I've swapped some things around

11/18: AK/MGM
11/19: Epcot
11/20: Universal
11/21: MK

I'm so excited, it's all I've been thinking about!! :yay:

Well, I talked to my mom today. My parents are not going. :sad1: My mom just doesn't think they can physically do the trip. My dad can't be out in the sun for long so going to Florida isn't the best thing for him. Plus my neither of my parents are in the best of health. I understand. I'm just disappointed. :sad1: On the happy side, that means we will more than likely stay at the Poly. :cheer2:

So... I did a little research on when the discounts have been released the last few years. Here's what I found:

Stay Dates: 9/27/09-12/17/09
package deal ("free dining") for Disney Rewards Visa cardholders
Released on: 7/24/09, exp 9/26/09

Stay Dates: 9/27/09-12/17/09
package deal ("free dining") for general public
Released on: 7/27/09, exp 9/26/09

Stay Dates: 10/4/09-12/24/09
package discount and room only for general public
Released on 7/27/09, exp 9/26/09

Stay Dates: 8/15/10-12/21/10
package deal ("free dining") for general public
Released on 7/6/10, exp 8/14/10

Stay Dates: 10/3/10-12/31/10
room-only discount for general public
Released on 8/16/10, exp 11/21/10

If history serves as any indication, it could be any time in July. Crossing fingers!!

thats the only thing I'm sad about.......I'm so used to planning farther out than that......plus you wanna do the ADR's but can't, well I guess you technically could but it is harder trying to figure out when and where without the trip being booked

I guess it doesn't bother as much b/c our dates are pretty much set. The only thing that might change is we might have to do a split stay for one night. What parks we do on each day is set, and we choose our restaurants, then match them to the days we are in the parks nearest to the restaurants. For us, we are doing the DxDDP no matter what. We need the discount to stay at the Poly. No discount = POP! Either way, I'll be happy.

We discussed EMH and for us I don't think we'll be utilizing them (the two boys don't like all of the roller-coasters and "scary" rides so the lines won't be a big deal), our schedule could very well change but I did some what has happened in years past to come up with the schedule thus far:surfweb:

Since they won't ride scary rides with me, I've made them let me pick all the restaurants :woohoo:

I know I can't do ADR til May so I could completely redo the schedule between now and then. I'm a crazy planner and have already replanned Thanksgiving day 2012 3 times :teacher:

We don't to the EMH either. I'm a planner too. I have replanned our trip numerous times, and I'm still not happy with it. Guess I'll have to keep on planning! :thumbsup2

I am so excited. I just put our deposit down on our November 3rd through November 11, 2012 trip!:banana:

Now crossing fingers for some kind of promotion to help bring down that cost, lol.

:dance3:

I love replanning, it's part of the fun, and already knowing regardless of discount or no we're doing deluxe dining plan, so many credits to have fun with :cloud9:

Planning and re-planning is what's is ALL about!;)

Aww, I'm sorry your parents won't be going with you. It is HARD watching our parents age and decline, isn't it? I realize how incredibly blessed I am to be almost 43 years old and still have both my parents. And I'm also so scared silly of losing one of them. And even more scared of one of them losing the other. :confused3 I just don't know what one will do without the other...

Allrighty then......so sorry about that gloomy post!

Good night y'all! :cloud9:

Turning it around, YAY! Polynesian, here they come!

Wow!!! So many people planning to be at WDW in Nov 2012! This is exciting! :yay: I just LOVE being at WDW when all the Christmas decorations are up. The atmosphere is really something else! And MVMCP is definitely a must do!:santa:

Yes I also love Christmas at the World! This will be our first time doing MVMCP so I am excited about that too. Can't wait to tell my kids!

Speaking of, when is everyone telling their children? Or did you already? If I told them now, they would drive me bonkers for over a year LOL! I'm thinking when I can start booking dining :)

We are hoping to hit the MVMCP for the first time next year, too. Hoping we aren't too disappointed after The MNSSHP this year (I LOVED).

We aren't telling the kids until they suspect. I have a countdown that we are changing daily, but it is backwards so only my husband and I know. He's really into the whole countdown thing. I don't think the kids will notice. ;) Anyway, I have been searching ways to surprise them and the YouTube videos make me want to do it Christmas morning, but since we won't be going until November, I think that might be cruel, lol.

I started my "dream restaurant" list yesterday of all of the places I want to eat at and for what meal. We booked the deluxe dining as well. We are big eaters and we are splitting with a two year old, so it'll be nice to have more than boxed cereals for breakfast. Plus, this way we can hit even more table service restaurants.

So, free dining or not, we'll be there. We're just going to whittle away at our trip costs a hundred dollars at a time. Luckily, I'm a an artisan/business owner and my busy season is now, so I might be able to put a significant chunk on the trip before January. :thumbsup2 Everything else will come from a lovely three kid tax return.

Oh I don't mind the replanning at all! :lovestruc
I just get way too bummed when I don't get the ADR's I want......luckily being a stay at home mom I was able to snag Ohana's last time by going online several times a day to check

I feel the same way.:upsidedow Getting into LeCeiller is getting harder.

Being that we are going in November and being that we are going to book the earliest we can, I am hoping that we can get into Le Cellier this trip for lunch. We weren't so lucky our last trip.

Last trip, 1900 Park Fare for dinner was the hardest thing ever. I went nuts trying to book it and we never did! I am a stay at home mom as well, and tried about 20 times a day for two months! Ridiculous!

We aren't getting the deluxe plan. But we are going to pay out of pocket for the castle so that means we get an extra meal :) My kids never ate at the castle and wasting two credits isn't my ideal so we figure for the kids bday present we will get them into the castle and bippity boppity botique.

SO excited!

Where is everyone staying? We are trying POR since it will be refurbished. Hopefully the new murphy beds are better than the old trundles.

I have alerts already set on my calendar for the 180 day mark. We want both Ohana and Le Celllier for our trip... I think there might be a small riot if my husband doesn't try Le Cellier this time.

My daughter didn't touch her food at the castle. She was mesmerized. Luckily, the two year old helped her out. Crazy that you spend so much money when they are too busy to eat the food... We'd do it again in a heartbeat though.

We are staying at POR as well. :) We've requested (and hope to get) one of the buildings in the Alligator Bayou. We have two girls and a boy, so the extra bed will be a godsend.

We've already told the kiddo, he's very excited (mostly about star tours)

So what I've read is MVMCP doesn't happen at all Thanksgiving week?

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

Good Morning to you stranger! I leave this board for a day and there is so many new ppl! :goodvibes

I feel the same way.:upsidedow Getting into LeCeiller is getting harder.
I have never eaten there. Every time I try to get an ADR, its always fully booked!

We are staying at POR in the Royal Rooms. I HAD to try to get one after seeing them! It was $236 extra for the whole week so I guess its not terrible. Still cheaper then the Poly(which I did want :( )

Our 180 day mark is actually the day b4 my 30th bday. I too am a SAHM actually a WAHM~I have a daycare out of my house~ so hopefully I can get online at 6am if not on the phone but with a party of 15 I WILL get our ADR's :surfweb: LOL!
