I talked about the ADR plan with the DH. What we finally decided to do was move the DHS day to our arrival day. As soon as we check in, we're heading to WL to eat lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe, so I can get my WL fix in. Then we will head to DHS. I read all the TS menus to my DH. He didn't want to do Sci-Fi again, and he refuses 50's Prime Time. The only menu that sounded good to him was Mama Melrose, so that's where we will eat dinner. I thought about leaving to eat dinner somewhere else, but I want to get to bed early that night. The next day is Joey's bday and I want to do a 8:00 AM breakfast at CRT before heading off to Epcot. Then we'll be up late that night b/c of MVMCP. We might take a nap after lunch. I just hate loosing park time for a nap since it's been so long since we have been to WDW.

OMGoodness that sounds like a lot of fun!!! I am guessing you have the park hopper? We are still on the fence about it. DH and I have it for the short trip but in Nov the group is so large and so many little kids(5) that I am thinking its more trouble than what its worth. And besides that my DBro thinks one park a day is more than enough. :headache: I dont know.

I'm glad you had a fun trip. The Christmas decorations at Disney are a-maaaaaaazing! I hope you get to go again next year.

It's crazy, isn't it? And she's my baby, so it hurts even more. We're going for Japanese Hibachi tonight, since that's what she picked. Yummy, I can't wait!

That sounds soooo good!
That sounds like a good idea for you. We skipped Animal Kingdom last year and did 2 days at DHS. We really enjoyed it. Unless we change our minds, we're going to do the same thing again this year.
I actually am looking forward to AK this year! There is so much that we skipped!
Welcome! What a fun time to go.

Hope you all have a great Saturday!

The weekend goes too fast :sad2:

Hope everyone is haveing a good day! I was at the grocery store today and I was putting things in the back(its a suburban) and I looked down to a very big dent, scratch and chips! :scared1: :scared1: I thought someone hit my truck!!!! OMG! I call DH and he said dont worry:scared1: it happened at work the other day and I forgot to tell you(he drives it since I do daycare at home)  :sad2: :sad1:   WHAT????!!!!?!?!?! You knew about this and YOU DIDNT TELL ME!!!???? He said well the boy is gonna pay for it since he doesnt have insurance U serious right now??? OMG! I was sooo I just went home, put groceries away and went to the mall. Didnt say 2 words to him. :snooty:  Well it kind of paid off cuz Aeropostle was having a $12 hoodie and sweatpant sale so I got some :lmao: Hey I am entitled right? I like to think so! :goodvibes I also go 2 pairs of shoes and a pair of jeans at Sears all for $20(Im a clearance shopper) and should I mention a shoe wh*** :lmao: :lmao: Anyway, I had a good day...well most of it. Let me tell you I am gonna make that boy pay every frickin cent too! :thumbsup2
You totally deserve that shopping. It sounds like your DH got off lucky. I did a little shopping myself, but on line. I got an email from Bath & Body and they are having their Fall "Buy 3, Get 3 Free" sale. I got 3 Cucumber and Melon body gels, and 3 sprays. Then I got 3 Halloween, glow in the dark pocketbacs.

I love the park hoppers, and for us they are a must do. I just like the ability to be able to leave a park when we are done there, and go to another one. Like for us DHS is a half day park, so we could go to another park. Then with DAK, they close at 5, so we could go to another park after. Plus it gives us the option of going to Epcot for dinner. I would think for a big group like that park hoppers would work out better. That way y'all don't have to stay together if you want, but you can still meet up for meals.

We've eaten dinner at Mama Melrose's twice and for us, it was two strikes and they're out. None of us liked it either time. Hopefully, your experience will be much better.:goodvibes

I love B&BW. DD and I were in there yesterday, but I resisted (even though I NEED some stuff) and only bought 2 of the little bottles of lotion called Spider Cider.

The only reason we'd get park hoppers is to eat at Epcot, but it just doesn't seem worth it to us.

Mmmm, Kiku was so yummy tonight! And now we're gonna have Peyton's cookie cake. Yum yum!:thumbsup2

Good night! :cloud9:

Whats a Cookie cake?? Sounds so good! We have a place around here called Sakura which is probably the same thing. They put on a 'show' with food. Its really neat but very pricey! lol

Pretty much just a giant chocolate chip cookie decorated like a cake. It was really pretty with pretty fall flowers. Yeah, at Kiku the chef does a "show" and it is really pricey. We only go twice a year. Peyton always picks it for her birthday and Daniel picks it for his, too. We really only ever go out to eat for our birthdays. It's always just pretty expensive for a family of 5. And my boys can really eat! Heck, so can Peyton. She got an adult meal yesterday for the first time and she ate the whole thing! I'm the only one who brought anything home. And we had a friend from Buffalo come by to spend the night with us (he was here for business in Atlanta), so we paid for his meal, too. :scared1:

Time to go grocery shopping.......:headache:

DH might kill me but.............. I JUST BOOKED THE WISHES DESSERT PARTY!!!!!! YAY!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Itll be my little treat to myself for all the weight loss lol even though that is why I needed to lose weight :lmao:
I thought a trip with just DH and I would be a good time to do this versus our GG where it would be sooooo pricey!!! :scared1: Anyway I am the one with the sweet tooth but he should like the ice cream bar. The only night we are there that offers it is our MVMCP night. Hope we can still have fun

Np, anytime.

I hope so too. I want to make sure to see the Osbourne lights, if they are up. DH said that we could leave the park to eat, but he would not come back to see "stupid Christmas lights". If I want to see them, we can't leave the park. So, I made him pick and if it's bad then I'm totally going to blame him.

I love B&BW. DD and I were in there yesterday, but I resisted (even though I NEED some stuff) and only bought 2 of the little bottles of lotion called Spider Cider.
It's much easier for me to resist in the store. My favorite fragrances are no longer offered in the store, but are on line only. It's the on line store that I have problems resisting.

Mmmm, Kiku was so yummy tonight! And now we're gonna have Peyton's cookie cake. Yum yum!:thumbsup2

Good night! :cloud9:
I hope she had a good birthday. We love cookie cake around here. The only problem is that my DH can usually eat a piece that is 1/4 of the cake. Around here they are usually about 12-13 inches across.
DH might kill me but.............. I JUST BOOKED THE WISHES DESSERT PARTY!!!!!! YAY!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

You deserve it for all your hard work. It's not like you can take an eraser and erase all the weight you want to loose. You have to work hard to get it off, and since you have lost over 30 lbs, you deserve to celebrate.

I'm going to try this again. I spent a long time last night catching up on the thread, and typing my reply, but for some reason it wouldn't go through. ARGHH!! :sad2: I just gave up.

He rolls his eyes at the time I spend planning vacations but he always makes the time for he and the kids to thank me for another great vacation! I plan every detail but once on vacation I am not a crazy tour guide. I know everything doesn't go as planned and tell myself often so I can enjoy instead of getting upset that something is not going as planned. I love the time I put into planning as much as the vacation.

DH tried to ban me from the DIS last year when I was planning our trip!! :rotfl:

My goal is to know as much as I possibly can so that when something important doesn't go as planned I've got a backup! Once I'm at Disney we go as the "wind" takes us but we do it knowing what we are or aren't missing :goodvibes No coming back from Disney and saying"I didn't know" for us!

Plus my DH is always impressed, and brags to his friends, about how much money I saved us by all the research!

Same here... I want to know everything I can, but once I leave home it's a vacation and I go with the flow.

As much as I got on DH's nerves planning our last (and first) trip, he appreciated it in the end. He always tells everyone what a great job I did.

Me too! :thumbsup2 Planning is the only thing right now that I have control over lol

I decided to go for a short(only 2 mile) run/walk today to try to sweat out whatever I have. I think it worked cuz I feel much better!:yay: I still managed to lose a pound being sick-not sure how :confused3 but whos complaining :goodvibes only 2 more pounds til my next mini goal :cheer2: and 7 more pounds til my Disney goal! :cheer2: :cheer2: I have 17lbs til my ULTIMATE goal -next Disney trip :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Poor thing... I hope nothing else bad comes your way. Congrats on the weight loss though! That is awesome! :cheer2:

Hi guys!

Hope everyones trip planning is going well. I just noticed how Disney released Room only discounts for AP holders, and etc. Up to 40% off the rooms! It extends until September 2012!! I was like OMG !

Anyone think that we might see a great deal like this for November? A good room discount would be perfect for us.

Has anyone confirmed this? I can't find the discount for September 2012. :confused3 I sure hope we can get a discount!! :goodvibes

Ok the trip is PAID IN FULL!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

:cheer2:

Hi everyone:wave2:
We just got back from WDW last week and I"m already hoping DH will tell me to go ahead and book for next year:lmao: I really enjoyed the halloween decorations, but am really hoping to see WDW at christmas time. So for now I'll lurk on here, but not sure if we'll be making the trip back so soon...but I'm hoping!

Hope you get to bounce back!!

Then we'll be up late that night b/c of MVMCP. We might take a nap after lunch. I just hate loosing park time for a nap since it's been so long since we have been to WDW.

You won't regret taking a nap before the MVMCP. We did last year, and I worked out well. We had an early morning ADR @ 8am @ CRT, then we toured MK til around noon, went back to our resort, had a quick lunch, took a nap, then went back to MK for the MVMCP around 4pm. It was a perfect day. We didn't leave the party til almost midnight.

This is just how I am ya'll. :goodvibes The planning keeps me sane. :thumbsup2 And we follow things for the most part but there is always room for change.

Me too!!

Now that we know we will probably switch to the Poly, I've been thinking about changing some of our ADR plans, but I can't decide.

DD has been sick this weekend. She started running a fever yesterday afternoon and through the night, but she's feeling better now.

It's been a good football weekend here... another win for LSU and the Saints!! :cheer2: DH is cooking BBQ chicken for dinner, the laundry is almost done. Just a whole lot of folding to do! :laundy: I spend Friday night cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom... I steam cleaned the cabinets, counters, floors, appliances, etc. My kitchen was so clean you eat off the floor!! Not so much anymore. LOL! Am I the only one who feels like all I do on the weekend is clean the kitchen?! :confused3

I'm off work tomorrow for Columbus Day so I think I'm going to declare tomorrow a Disney planning day!! :cheer2: I might watch a movie or two also. popcorn::

YAY! Wow thats alot of cleaning. Let us know what you decide as far as your ADR's go.

I saw some horrible news! Test Track kwill be closed for refurb in 2012 and I had to search the dates as that is a MUST DO RIDE!!!!! Its scheduled to be closed Easter- September PHEW!!! :worship: :worship:

:lmao: about your DH not wanting to come back for "stupid Christmas lights". My DH doesn't think as much of them as I do. I think they're absolutely spectacular and, if it took eating at Mama Melrose again for me to see them again, I'd do it!

I haven't ordered from B&BW online before. I do like to look on there, though. I'm still disappointed in them for not bringing bringing back my favorite scent EVER from a few summers ago, Pomegranate Martini. I LOVED that. And used my last bottle so sparingly to make it last. I miss it!

Peyton had a great birthday. LOL about your DH and the cookie cake. At Publix, they'll make them from 8"-20" round. We got a 16" and after eating Japanese, the cookie cake about did us in and we only had small slices.

I'm sorry you had a hard time posting. That is so frustrating.

Shame on DH for trying to ban you from the DIS! Glad he appreciated it in the end. My DH likes to tell people what a good job I do planning, too. I do drive him and DS1 a little crazy though!

Now that we know we will probably switch to the Poly, I've been thinking about changing some of our ADR plans, but I can't decide.

Sorry your DD was sick. Glad she's on the mend now.
Congrats on the football wins. My Bills bounced back this time, too! :dance3: And Georgia won, too! :yay:

Your dinner sounds yummy. I'm going to roast some chicken tomorrow. Can't wait! :woohoo: Trying a recipe for Swedish meatballs tonight. DD16 worked til 7:30 tonight, so we waited for him. It's allllllmost done.

Yes, all I seem to do on the weekends is clean and laundry :laundy:

Glad you're off tomorrow! I took off tomorrow, too, since my younger two are home. Hope you enjoy your day!

Have a great evening! :thumbsup2

So DH agrees that the Dessert party will be fun! YAY!!!! :yay: its still on! WOOHOO!!!

Oooooo... That sounds like fun. We are doing the DxDP so we will get enough desserts, but I wouldn't mind trying the Dessert Party one trip. Let us know how it is!!

Glad you're off tomorrow! I took off tomorrow, too, since my younger two are home. Hope you enjoy your day!

Have a great evening! :thumbsup2

Enjoy your day also!

I keep thinking of things I should do tomorrow, but I'm determined to give myself a few "Disney" hours!

Hope everyone has a good night!

I have only seen video of it, but I can't wait to see them in person. If the food isn't great (or good even), it's not like we'll starve since we'll be on the DlxDDP.:lmao:

I haven't ordered from B&BW online before. I do like to look on there, though. I'm still disappointed in them for not bringing bringing back my favorite scent EVER from a few summers ago, Pomegranate Martini. I LOVED that. And used my last bottle so sparingly to make it last. I miss it!
That's a bummer they don't have your favorite scent anymore. I was afraid mine was gone as well, but it has just been banished to on line only.

Peyton had a great birthday. LOL about your DH and the cookie cake. At Publix, they'll make them from 8"-20" round. We got a 16" and after eating Japanese, the cookie cake about did us in and we only had small slices.
I think my DH would make himself sick trying to eat 1/4 of a 20" round cookie cake. We just finished off my 7" pumpkin cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factor. He tried to get himelf 1/4 of it. I took it from him, and cut it into 8 equal pieces and told him he could have a normal human size and have some, or try and take a David-sized piece and get none. I did cave and give him 1/2 my slice b/c I could tell that I wasn't going to be able to finish it. He wanted some right after we ate, so I couldn't finish it.
I see you daughter's name is Peyton. When I worked in daycare, we had a girl named Peyton. One of the other ladies that worked their always called her Princess Pey-pey. Everytime, I read about your daighter, I think Princess Pey-pey.

Hi all! :)
Looks like Disney is offering a room discount for Nov 2011. I've done my homework. If the 2011 discount rate of 20% applies for 2012, our savings will be about $300 or so. We'll have to pay for our meals OOP. And I have a feeling we will be spending more than $300 on food. This being the case, FD might be a better deal for us now. Since we're booked at a value resort, it'll be the QS dining plan. Think we might have to add a few TS meals OOP. Hmmm...

Yea i was looking at that too. Our trip this time makes the FD more of a deal than the room discount BUT that being said, even a 20% discount would save us $281 and FD would save us $981 lol FD wins! Lets just hope they offer it!

Oooooo... That sounds like fun. We are doing the DxDP so we will get enough desserts, but I wouldn't mind trying the Dessert Party one trip. Let us know how it is!!

Enjoy your day also!

I keep thinking of things I should do tomorrow, but I'm determined to give myself a few "Disney" hours!

Hope everyone has a good night!

Thanks! I will give a short TR with pics when we get home! 1 month 3 weeks

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

I don't know why but I am waiting for the trip to hit the year mark to really start to jump on things. I just feel like once we hit a year, time will start to move.
