Yep, we're hoping, just like everyone else is.

And, frankly, I've come to just like posting on this thread with others going in November 2012, sharing our plans, ideas, etc.

:confused3

YEP! Couldnt have said it better! :thumbsup2 Do we have to be waiting FOR something? :rotfl2: Maybe we are hoping FOR something. I think most of us will just be happy with FD if nothing else.

I dont think it really matters what this thread is for BUT that there are ppl like me whole are merely excited to go to Disney and it just so happens we are going at the same time. :)

On another note, How was everyones saturday??

My Saturday was fine. Missing my DH, though. He had 2 off-duty jobs ALL DAY today and has another tomorrow. All for Disney, though! He works his BUTT off so that we can go on our wonderful trips. I  him!

Beautiful fall day here in the Atlanta area. I LOVE the fall!

Spent a lot of time looking through my Disney books today and on the Disney website.

Happy 40th Birthday, Magic Kingdom!!!!:dance3:

My Saturday was good. I've been having allergy problems and I think I finally found something that works. I'm house sitting for my sister and watching her dogs and my parent's dogs. They went to Estes Park, CO for Elk Fest. I spent the day snuggled up on a couch with 4 dogs, knitting and watching tv. I think my sis, bil, and parents had a more exciting day though. My sis said that after the pow wow a ton of people came back to their cabin for a "pow wow" after party. My DH is supposed to bring the DSs over tomorrow to hang out. Well have a great night all. It's hard to type with a beagle on my lap trying to help.

Your DH sounds like mine- Mine works a side job so that we can go to Disney and have spending money :cloud9: Today was a VERY fall day near Baltimore. It was 58 degrees! Today I woke up and it was 43 :scared1: too cold for me :santa: I like 65 :goodvibes

What does your DH do?

We had a high of 66 hear yesterday. A little too windy, though. Today is supposed to be 68 with no more wind. Sounds PERFECT to me. Although, it was 38 at my house when I took the doggie out this morning.:scared1: Good thing I thought to put my robe on!

Good afternoon! It's been a busy weekend here, and I finally got a moment to sit down.

The weather is pretty here, high mid 80's/low mid 50's, but that's a heck of a lot better than 99* plus we have been having.

We spend all day yesterday on the road... buying the kids new shoes, DD new jeans, going to my aunt's house and parent's house to collect items for DD's Girl Scout food drive. DD had her 1st sleepover last night, and I survived! :rotfl2:

I think we are just going to relax this afternoon. We are watching the Saints game right now. DH is going to cook shrimp etouffee for dinner, so I don't even have to worry about that!

I'm still working on my itinerary. I know there are no dates set, but does anyone know what new restaurants they are going to have when they finish the Belle and Arial castles in Fantasyland? Also, I'm considering doing the Sci-fi Drive In at HS, but I'm wondering what kind of movies they show on the big screen. I'm worried DD or DS might get scared. They get scared easily, and don't need any drama while we eat. :scared1:

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

I'm not sure how I missed your post before. I'm sorry you're having allergy troubles. What are you using? I work at an ENT office, so I'm just nosey. Aww, how fun, just chilling out with four doggies. I can almost picture you (even though I've never SEEN you!) knitting on the couch with four doggies "helping" you. Too cute!

Glad your Saints had a successful day, unlike my Bills....:sad2: But, you know, I'm quite used to it.... Ugh, they really blew it today. Yum, the shrimp etoufee sounds yummy! My DH is making steaks, but I'll be doing the sides.

There is supposed to be Be Our Guest, a TS restaurant, and Gaston's Tavern at Fantasyland. My plan is to book Crystal Palace and then hope and pray that Be Our Guest opens by the time we're there, and book that if at all possible. It's supposed to open in "late 2012", but I don't really know what that means! I SO want to go there:goodvibes

I also am hoping Be Our Guest Restaurant will be open before the end of 2012. I am a huge B&TB fan, and I can't wait to eat at this restaurant.

Ack! DD distracted me and I forgot to mention:

We've never been to the Sci-Fi Drive In, but drama while eating is best avoided by all families! I would bet it wouldn't be scary, though. How old are your kids again?

Thinking about going to Tony's again for a change, instead of Crystal Palace again (and STILL hoping for Be Our Guest instead). DD would like to go to Cinderella's Royal Table again, but DH is a little hesitant to go there again (even though he loved his Major Domo's Favorite Pie, but he "doesn't remember") Not sure I want to use 2TS for it, though. I'd prefer to do lunch at Le Cellier instead of dinner and have it be 1TS instead of 2TS, but we're all so addicted to Le Cellier, that I must confess I WOULD use 2TS for that if necessary. Don't think I want to do 2 2TS dinners since we'll only have the regular DP.......

Me, too! Crossing fingers and everything else that it will be open! :lovestruc

And if your trip is not til December, I'm sure you'll be able to get there.

Thanks all! I just put Be Our Guest on my itinerary - I'm thinking positive. :goodvibes I wonder if the Be Our Guest restaurant will be a character meal, and I wonder if it will be 1 or 2 dining credits. :confused3

As for Sci Fi, DD will be 7 and DS will be almost 5. DD is the one who gets scared. She can't even watch some Disney movies (Princess and the Frog comes to mind) because they give her nightmares. Then again, she takes after me. I don't like scary movie commercials, and I can't watch the 10pm news, CSI, or any of those crime shows because they will give me nightmares. :rolleyes1 I think the drive in theme would be fun for the kids, but we may take the boat head over the Boardwalk or Beach Club for dinner. Just can't decide. :confused3 THIS is why I have to start planning so early! I could never plan a last minute trip. I wouldn't know what to do. :scared1:

That shrimp etouffee sounds so yummy!! I think since you talked about it, you need to share the recipe? Please? Also, if you have a good gumbo recipe, that would be greatness!!
We went to Sci-fi Drive In on our last trip. We got a car table at the front. We loved it!! If I remember right, they just show trailor type clips. My youngest DS was thinking they would show a full movie and wasn't happy about the clips at first. The day that I'm having the biggest trouble with is our DHS day. I thought about doing Sci-fi again, but I would like to try 50's Prime Time. It just looks like fun.

I'm not totally sure what it is. My sister left it for me. It's some Advil that is behind the counter with the pharmacist, not the stuff on the shelf. It works miracles, and I would love to kiss the people that made it.

Well, while I was watching my Cowboys play, they were up 20-3. Then my DH got here with the DSs and the first thing he did was turn the game off and put on a Netflix movie.

I hope they are open by the time of our trips. Especially the TS restaurant. B&tB is one of my favorite movies ever.
I have my first rough draft of our ADR's made. Joey wants to be at Epcot for his bday. They don't know about the trip, but I asked them once which park they would want to spend their bday in and he said Epcot. Then, if they have MVMCP on the same days next year, then it'll be on Joey's bday (a Tuesday). For his bday, we'll be at Epcot until we go to MVMCP. Well I think I'm going to go snuggle up with the fur-babies, knit and watch some Bridezillas and Housewives of NJ.

We're just not fans of the food at DHS. Last year, we took the boat to Beach Club and ate at Cape May. It was FABULOUS! We'd highly recommend it and will definitely go there again next time. On our other DHS day we're going to try Captain's Grill at Yacht Club. Looking forward to trying it. I think last year, we didn't decide to go for Thanksgiving until September, so that was the quickest we've ever planned, but it worked out to be a GREAT vacation. We even got Le Cellier on Thanksgiving Day! But I'm also really enjoying planning from so far out. I guess I just like planning a Disney vacation no matter HOW it comes about.:laughing:f

We've never been to 50's Prime Time. The food sounds fairly good, but the whole idea of the interaction there terrifies me! Can't do it!

As long as you're happy with what you're taking, that's all that matters. I'm glad you found something that works for you. I remember the exact feeling when we still lived in Buffalo and I discovered Flonase nasal spray. I was so thankful! Haven't really been bothered down here.

Aww, I'm sorry. I think the Cowboys lost, too, didn't they? And they blew a big lead, too? That stinks! That's so funny that your DH turned off the game on you. Is he not a football fan or could he not bear to watch? My DH gets that way sometimes.

You have a smart boy there, wanting to be in Epcot for his birthday. That would be my pick, too!

Not sure if I know how to post a link, but if it doesn't work, just type in this address. This is from Allearsnet.com and is about the Fantasyland expansion. Watch the clip.

The interaction is the only thing that worries me. Our youngest has mild ASD and I'm not sure how he would react to it.

Yep it was a Cowboy loss. The Lions came back from a 24-point deficit to win the game. My DH doesn't watch too much football b/c he misses playing so much. When we were younger we were idiots. Instead of him taking one of the many full ride scholarships to colleges to play football, we got married a month after he graduated high school. We didn't "have to" get married, we were just so in love that we couldn't wait. I swear I would love to go back in time and smack myself for us not getting our education then. It's so much harder to go to college and have a family.

We went to Prime Time last year and they didnt really mess with the children. All our waitress said was before you can get your dessert, eat 3 more green beans lol

Ok thanks! Now I HAVE to put the B&TB ADR on our list! :lmao: Just when I thought I was done lol. THat sounds neat :lovestruc I LOVE B&TB and so does DDad.

Well I know what you mean about smacking yourself about not getting an education! Yea I didnt even go back and finish my senior year. BIG MISTAKE. I got pregnant at 17 and dropped out. I did go get my GED though. And against all odds, DH and I have been married for almost 11yrs and together for almost 13. (DD will be 12 in November). It is what it is, right? I can say that if I could go back in time, I would have stayed in school. I cant say I would do everything differently cuz then she wouldnt be here but I would have made different choices. I think, for me, adoption was NOT an option. Mom was talking the other day about how her 12 bday is coming up and how much we would be kicking ourselves and missing her if I had chosen adoption. I think if I would have went that way, Mom would have stepped up and taken care of her. She told me more than one time that she would have done that. DH and I managed(though I DONT know HOW the heck we did it) to make things work. But we did it w/o help. We can appriciate things more that way. But enough about me and my lofe :lmao: back to the Disney talk :thumbsup2

You can make substitutions on sides, right? Our youngest DS will take me telling him to eat green beans. Anyone else trying to get him, could start a meltdown. Especially, if they are dessert blocking him.:lmao:

Congrats on still being married!! Being married young is hard enough, it's even harder when you add a baby to the mix. I know a couple that was married and had their first child by the time the hubby was a senior and the wife was a junior in hs. The hubby and I graduated in 1994. They are still married, and their son is a freshman in college. She went on to become a teacher and he does something in the IT field. It's not always easy, but anything worth while usually isn't. The DH and I have been married 16 years. The education thing is really the only thing I would change. Well that and I maybe would have eaten better and worked out more.:lmao:
