Oh, wow - I absolutely love love love those two Disney holiday photos/graphics in the first post! Those are so cute! Where did you find them, smiley_face2? And they're so fitting - because November really is a month that celebrates Thanksgiving and - at least in Disneyland - Christmas too. Maybe it's not Christmas for anyone else yet in mid-November, but at DLR it is!!

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say that this is a great start to the November thread!

I had that issue last year. We had plans to go to Disneyland, not the whole family, but my mom was in the hospital and they didnt expect her to recover, but she kept thinking about going back to Disneyland when she got better, and she ended up recovering. I say it's Disney magic at it's finest. We rescheduled, got everyone in on it, and surprised her with a family vacation, where we too celebrated life. She didnt know this until she was in front of the castle and the rest of the family walked up to greet her. She was in tears. It was the best moment ever. So I am really happy your able to share a trip with your family.

I am going for my 2nd solo trip from Nov. 15-19 Staying at the Park Vue Inn. DH says he's had enough Disney for ten lifetimes so the last time I went I was forced to go alone and had such a great time.

It was really amazing. I watch the surprise video all the time for a smile. We had a big party too and the secret was kept for 6 months. I am really shocked the secret didnt get back to her considering how many crazy excited Disney fans were going.

It will get very busy when September rolls round, Mystic path. I see you are from Vancouver BC, we are not far from you over on the Sunshine Coast.
I just want to apologise for not being able to keep the thread more active. This was supposed to be a celebration of life trip for our whole family, due to my breast cancer diagnosis, and the fact I should be done all my treatment by August and recovered sufficiently by then. We booked our rooms when I found out my lymph gland were negative which is a very positive thing!! However, on January 28th, just a few days after we had planned and booked this family event, our dearest only son was killed in a workplace accident. He had been working with my husband for the past 7 years, and was killed in front of my husband, who tried desperately to save him. He was only 28 years old, would have been 29 on February 22. He was married, and we have 4 beautiuful little grand daughters to live on for him. The youngest just turned 1 year on the sunday before he was killed. It goes without saying our family was and is devastated. He was the one in the family who was almost as Disneyland obsessed as me, and was so excited to be going on this trip with our whole family. We will keep our bookings and see if in 8 months we feel up to going. In the meantime, I am in my treatment which has been very hard, and limits the amount of time I can spend here. My husband is unable to return to his job, and so that will factor into our future decisions as well. I need something to take my mind off of everything, and I will continue to plan this trip, and hopefully by next fall, we will be able to actually go. thanks for your patience in the meanwhile, and thankyou to anyone else who thinks to bump the thread in between times!
