We are going November 15th-19th (Mon-Fri). Anyone else going in November? I am hoping the Christmas decor will be up.

We are going Nov. 10th-16th and went for 2 weeks last year about the same time. Right after Halloween they started putting up decorations each day, and by the 12th of Nov. everything was done. I think it was the 12th or 13th when they did the lighting of the castle. Other than Labor Day and the lighting festival it was a great time to go.

Terrific! It sounds like we will be there at the perfect time!

The actual official start of the holiday season was early last year - it was Friday, November 13th (that means Santa was out, the carolers were out, the special holiday entertainment began, all the decorations were up, IASW Holiday was open and the Winter Castle's icicle lights were in full glow at night), which was just about 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. However, the two preceding years it had begun only one week before Thanksgiving. We are not sure what they are doing this year - I imagine they may wait until World of Color begins and see what kinds of crowds they get in the parks for that, and maybe base the holiday season opening date around that.

Someone said that they saw on the DLR website somewhere that the start of the season will be November 16th this year - that's a Tuesday, which seems a little odd. Normally, the official starts of seasons are on Fridays. Tuesday seems like a weird day. I imagine that as we get closer to the Fall, DLR will change the holiday season opening date to either the 12th or the 19th, both Fridays. They will likely announce the whole holiday schedule in August.

Good to know. The 16th start date does seem odd to me too. I check on the DL website and it didn't show a start date- it said check back in the fall for more details. Hmmm..... Well either way we should be okay- it is the week before Thanksgiving.

Hi! We usually go in Oct, but it's gotten too busy and my sister wanted to see the X-mas decorations so we're trying mid-Nov.

We usually go in Oct too! How funny! We want to see the Christmas decor this year and my birthday is in Nov. so we decided that it would be the perfect time to go! Do you drive or fly?

We fly on Southwest usually to Orange Co (SNA). I think this year we'll be 4 adults and 4 kids. I never know for sure until we get closer to our trip on who decides to join us.

It looks like we are going to get to make it this year after all! Our tentative dates are November 10-21. I am so excited! Missed last year.... actually spent it at WDW. It was good but just not quite the same. I will be so glad to make it back to Disneyland!

I'm hoping to go Thanksgiving weekend (Nov 25-28) with our GAD passes after our APs expire ;)

It is always my husband and two kiddos. We have gone the last 3 years in a row. It has become our annual fall tradition. My sister lives in So Cal and comes and joins us the last night. It is nice to have another adult around so my hubby and I can enjoy some rides together!

I will be there Nov 12 - 20. My son and I are taking our first mother/son solo trip - and I suspect our last, he is 21. He has only been to DL 3 times and the last time was 7 yrs ago, so instead of our usual DW, we want to do a long relaxing trip to the park Walt built.:worship:

We (DH, DD2 and me) were planning on going in June by DH can't get off of work so now we are planning for Nov. sometime between the 20th andDec. 4, any suggestions? We want to go for 4-5 days, when there are longer hours and hopefully less crowds. Can't wait!!!

We'll be there from the 6-11 for my daughter's birthday, although if the Christmas stuff is coming out on the Friday (12th) then we might adjust our dates to the 7-12.

Only 190 days untill we leave for our 2 day drive down!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

My hubby and I are going to be there Nov 16-20. Can't wait - we've got some celebratin' to do!!:cool1:

My family (4 yo DS, 2 yo DD and DW) and I are going to be there Nov 13-20. °o°

I'll be there with my mom and my siblings November 10-15. It will be my first time using my DVC membership and we're staying in a 2 bedroom villa at GCV I can't wait. It will also be my twin brothers 7th birthday why we're there. :cool1:
