November 2010 Code watch

That's the way it stands now, but I am hoping they will cover. Still waiting on THV to book that with the pin. I'm probably spending more now than I did before!

I did the same thing when I got the pin, your wheels start turning and you say well with the pin I can stay here for only X$ more than there and it ends up you give Disney more money than before your discount.
There is a method to their madness :rotfl2:

We will be there November 20-29. Right now we have the QSDP booked but would love to get it for free! I feel kind of good about it after the FD through 10-2 came out. If not, we got free DDP the last 2 times so we can't complain.

Hoping for FD here. :) We went last year the week after Tgiving with FD and would love to do it again. :thumbsup2 Two of my boys will count as adults--making 4 of 5 of us as adults. Free dining would be a huge blessing. If it doesn't come, ack, I guess we'll wait and see what 2011 brings. :scared1:

Subscribing. We were supposed to be at WDW in about 2 wks, but some unforeseen family health issues forced us to cancel. So, now we're hoping for a trip Thanksgiving week. We got a great rate at AKL, and that's definitely where we want to stay.

I'm a little confused. The pin that is 40 percent off deluxe.. I saw someone say that they were hoping it gets extended beyond the 24th.. does that mean it is good for everyone? or do they just give out the same basic pins to the people that are luck enough to get one?
We are planning on Nov 14 - 20 and hoping for something. Can't make up my mind where I want to stay. :(
We want to stay deluxe and it is my first time as an adult and our first family trip. :goodvibes

I was lucky enough to get a 40% off deluxe PIN for November. I was secretly hoping to take a surprise birthday trip to WDW for DH's birthday, so I was playing around with ressies online, saving them and all. A couple of weeks later I got a PIN in my email! I was able to book an absolutely amazing deal on a room we would never be able to afford, GF RPC King Deluxe room! It's for 3 nights, and we'll be doing MVMCP on 2 of the nights :) Our dates are 11/18-11/21. :yay::yay:

We are planning a Grand Gathering Nov, 18 -26 2010 at POFQ.
We did these same dates in 2004 and found it worked for us.

Been to WDW about 7x but never on the Dining Plan, free or not.

What's the chance of the dining plan being offered during November 2010? Was it offered in 2009? I'd love to know.

Pins are discounts given to an individual person. Most pins have blackout dates but those dates may vary depending on the pin that the individual has been sent. COuld be the PP you are speaking of is hoping for a pin that can be used during what might be a blackout dates like around Christmas or Thanksgiving. You shouldn't have a problem with blackout dates, my mom and I are going Nov 10-23rd and we got a pin and those dates are covered.

OR it could be the PP was hoping that the current general public promotion for 40% off deluxes will be extended past the current dates which are until Oct 2.

Thanks!! Makes sense now.

:surfweb: So according to the email that i received last August, Disney extended the Free Dining offer 10/2 through 11/24... They offered free Quick Service Dining as well.... My email came out 8/25/09...

We were thinking about going to PORS from 9/27-ish thru 10/2 ish... that would cover our 13th wedding anniversary and DS#3's 4th birthday... But ideally we'd like to go later in October, early november ---> But only if the Free Dining offer is extended.... So here's hoping....:wizard:

If I understand correctly, you are looking at going before 10/2? Don't they have free dining out for that time frame already?

Yes, I am planning to book for that time period, but only because of the FD. Its not an ideal time for my job, kids sports and such, but we can make it work and the FD makes it worth it and more affordable. BUT... Should they offer FD into late oct, early Nov, then I would adjust our Ressie as it would be an ideal situation for me, my job and our sports/school schedules overall. Haven't you all realized that its all about me yet? :rotfl: I keep telling my husband the sooner he realizes that - the better of he will be! :confused3 :lmao: Have a great day!

I know, right? Seriously, it would save time if they just understood this from the beginning!

Last year we got a FD PIN that went through the first of October, so we booked it (even though we normally go at the end of October). Huge mistake. Not only did they later come out with the FD through (basically) the end of the year, but it was crazy hot when we went. I longed for the cooler temps of late October/early November.

O.K., sending pixie dust for a PIN for you...........NOW!

(Did it work?)

I called today to make a reservation for a room for our trip Nov 25th-Dec 2nd. I had been waiting to call since I want to book with a deal but my dining window is going to open up soon so I thought I better get some kind of reservation. I asked about a pin and I HAD ONE! It had Thanksgiving blocked out so I ended up booking two reservations at POP. The first 3 nights at the ridiculous rate of $145/night (including tax) and the last 4 nights at $55/night including tax! I'd still do better with free dining so I'm hoping for that and I'm dying for any kind of a discount on the 1st 3 nights but for now, I'm happy!:thumbsup2

So as we're sitting here waiting, I guess I'll hijack the thread a minute. Where in "Rural NW Ohio" are you from? Coming from Chicago then Cincinnati the bulk of my life, I think most of NW Ohio is rural ;) but my DH is actually from Ottawa (Glandorf, to be specific)! and one of my closest friends is from Van Wert!

We're in a small town called Wauseon, about 30 miles west of Toledo. If you've come into Ohio on the turnpike, you've driven by us.

My aunt, from Des Plaines, spends Fourth of July weekend with us, and she would agree with you -- everything here is rural. We live on a farm, but we've yet to get her to help with any "chores" while she's here. I tell her it would make a great story for all of her friend back home, but she's having none of it!

I got 3 emails this morning for 40% PIN, just in time!!!!!:cool1: It doesnt include the arrival day, but thats ok, I have a different PIN for that!

BUT... its for free park maps! I was hoping for soemthing more exciting, but I guess its all part of the waiting game :rolleyes1. I will surely be check and rechecking my inbox daily, hourly, minute by minute.... HOPING!:confused3:surfweb: I guess I should just be thankful I am getting Disney destination emails...
