November, 2009 Countdown Thread!

We'll be doing a quick Grand Gathering of 11 from Nov. 12th to the 15th. We're in a family suite at ASMu. The rest will be in regular rooms at ASMu.

Grandparents, parents and kids....oh my! LOL

Can't wait! We were just there in April at POR. I can't get enough.

:cool1: I'm so excited..... We are going to F&W for 1st time Nov 7th-11th. We also attending 1st night of MVMCP on the 10th :santa: Staying at POFQ CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Congrats on being under 50 days!!! :cool1::woohoo:

My packing plan is to try to wait until I am ready to put away the summer clothes for the winter. Which is usually around the first few weeks of October here in PA! Then I will bring the suitcases upstairs and start packing!! :yay:

Not really sure what to pack for November. :confused3 Hopefully we it will be warm and we will need summer clothes! :wizard: But not too hot! I was looking at the weather history and it looks like normal highs are in the upper 70's to low 80's. Perfect! :goodvibes

I am not the best packer...I tend to overpack, but then less laundry when at WDW. This is our 4th year in a row to go at this time and November can be very nice as described above and it can be very chilly. One year the week before we arrived they had a streak in the 50s during the day. So when we arrived and it was 72 the pool was packed and the rest of the 10 days we were there was mid-70s to low 80s. However, at night it can become chilly. So to answer your question you will need a mix of summer and autumn clothes with you.

I guess I gotta join the November thread! I was originally going in September, I was supposed to leave NEXT weekend! :( Unfortunately, both of my parents ended up in the hospital at the same time so I have to stay home and help them out.

I rebooked my trip for 11/14-11/21. Instead of doing the Halloween party we'll be doing MVMCP.

I also noticed Space Mountain is due to reopen the day I leave...now I'm wondering if I should add an extra day to my park hopper just to go over the MK that morning and check out Space Mountain! No chance they'd open it Friday, is there? :rotfl:

That's what I was afraid of, having to pack some of everything like we did in January. Hopefully we won't need the heavier clothes as much in November as we did in January! :wizard: I never do laundry at Disney, so I will be packing lots & lots of clothes!

I hope your parents are doing better.

Look at it this way, it won't be quite so hot in November anyway! :thumbsup2

I am also hoping for an early Space Mtn opening! :goodvibes About a week early in my case!

We were going to leave on the 21st, but I added a day just in case they open Space Mountain on time. Figure we'll head to MK on the 22nd for rope drop and see if we can ride a couple of times before heading back to check out and head to the airport. DD will be so upset if it's not open. It's her all time favorite

Add us to the Paid In Full group. I did it yesterday, just waiting on our confirmation!

Were going the same time as you .. mom and daughter trip to celebrate DDs 10th Birthday!! I'm waiting for my last Disney Visa payment to clear then making my final payment... trying to squeeze as many Disney dollars as I can out of the Visa before the trip.

I'll be there Nov. 15-20 at SSR. Can't wait for my non-park trip of relaxation!:cloud9:

Two days ago DH suggested a Nov trip!! :cool1:We'll be there Nov 11-18 and are staying YC! It's our 1st time there, and I've been scouring the boards drooling at pictures! Last year we were at GF, the 2 times before that at WL. We got a great deal on a CL room! I've even been pretty lucky getting a few dining reservations! :woohoo: I thought I'd be high and dry by now....
I can't wait!!

Wow what an awesome surprise for a last minute trip! :cool1:Good luck getting some more ADR's! I know that I switched a few things around this week and was surprised to be able to get everything. Hoping that means low crowds!

I've got Chefs de France, Chef Mickey's, Tusker House and 1900 Park Fare. The only other one I really want is Cinderella's Royal Table for my daughter's benefit, but my hopes of a cancellation there have so far not been fruitful (and probably won't be...). But I at least got 1 "princess" meal in!princess:

Great job! You got some really good ones. Did you try for CRT on Friday the 13th? I was searching on Tuesday to see what was available that evening for dinner because our plans changed a bit on that day and all these came up: ~ Olivia's, Maya Grill, CA Grill, The Wave, Captain's Grille, Akershus, Biergarten, Rose & Crown, Bistro de Paris, Cape May, Kouzzina, Tokyo Dining, Kona Cafe, GF Cafe, Citricos, Narcoossee's, Cinderella's Royal Table, Crystal Palace, Boatwright's. I was really surprised!

Just looked again for lunch. I'd prefer not to dodinner as no princesses are there. And that night is a MVmCP but not the night we are going to go. I'll keep checking, but at least I have 1900 Park Fare. We actually have never done that one; last year when we stayed at GF we could never get in!
Is it November yet?

Ok...Just joining in here. We usually rent a cabin in the mountains for Thanksgiving but decided to "rent a cabin" at Disney instead. Nov. 22-29. Always wanted to see the Christmas lights!! I just made my ressies last night. With FREE Dining the whole week of Thanksgiving!!! I also got some pretty decent ADR's. CRT, 1900 PF, Ohanas. Still need a few others. Can't wait!!:rotfl:

Is anyone interested in a free ticket to the Mickey Very merry christmas party for November 17?

We had 1 person back out on going with us and we already have the tickets.

So if anyone wants it just pm me. I guess 1st person can have it.
