November, 2009 Countdown Thread!

I see my name and dates on the list but I forgot to put where we are staying....we will be at CSR. I am so excited now that school is back I feel it will be here in no time:woohoo:
OH, and I'm also ready to pack;)
Laurie

I got you updated on the list! :thumbsup2

I know, I feel the same way - school & soccer both started for my kids this week. Now I feel like the time will pass much faster and November will be here before we know it! :goodvibes

I want to pack right now  I have a bag, too, in my closet with little "Disney" stuff in it. I can't wait to break out the suitcases and GOOOOO!

that this is just one week out of my life. I have to stop over thinking, over researching and overscheduling but... I...just... can't.

I have a pop up hamper in our room and every time I find something that I think we can use on vacation, I put it in there. Master list for Garden Grocer is done, list for shipping down food is done. Shopped for new cothes on sale and will put them aside once the weather changes. Disney binder is in the works... just need to nail down daily schedule of which parks and when. We will be there on Halloween night and have tickets to MNNSHP. Kids are excited to pick out costumes. My husband and I will wear silly hats but that's it. One thing I wanted to do was a Segway tour of the Epcot but it's just too expensive.

Congrats on being under 50 days!!! :cool1::woohoo:

My packing plan is to try to wait until I am ready to put away the summer clothes for the winter. Which is usually around the first few weeks of October here in PA! Then I will bring the suitcases upstairs and start packing!! :yay:

Not really sure what to pack for November. :confused3 Hopefully we it will be warm and we will need summer clothes! :wizard: But not too hot! I was looking at the weather history and it looks like normal highs are in the upper 70's to low 80's. Perfect! :goodvibes

Little OT here, but I noticed in your sig that you have two boys near my DS's age. He is turning 8 while down there and I was wondering if you have any recommendations for making his birthday great (besides the obvious, just being at Disney World). We have AM ressies for CM since Pluto is his fav character. We are doing Pirate's League on Halloween. He and DH have appts at 2 before the MNSSHP. Any thoughts?
Thanks for any suggestions.

My DS is turning 8 in 3 weeks!

Hmm. . . the one place that has always made our special occasions magical (without us even asking) is Crystal Palace. And even though my boys are too old for the characters there, we still go there for the great food and awesome service.

Chef Mickey's is a good idea. We always have fun there! The Pirate's League should be pretty special for him and his daddy too! pirate:

What else does he like? My boys love Star Wars. So we have done the Jedi Training at DHS. And the build-your-own Lightsaber at DTD. They have also enjoyed the stuff-your-own Pirate Skull and the Mr.Potato Head box at DTD. Once we took them to the kids club at the BC and they loved that - video game heaven!! They also did the Islands of the Caribbean Pirate Adventure Cruise in January and loved it! They did the one at CBR, but they have them at a few other resorts too.

You are going to have so much fun!!! :cool1:

He is big into Star Wars too, must be a boy thing! He is at an ackward Disney age, getting a bit too old for the cartoons but not that into any of the girly live action stuff. Guess that's why Disney joined forces with Marvel...
We will be staying at CBR, do you think the pirate cruise would be fun for 5 year old DD? She's a bit on the girly side but seems willing to try anything once.

Thanks for the help! Good luck with the upcoming bday, it has certainly been rough watching my little boy grow up.

one of these days I'll have to figure out how to put in a sig and/or ticker...:confused3

I surprised DH with a trip for two for his birthday, but he can't go to "The World" without our kids, so our romantic getaway is now a full on family vacay! We are now waiting to surprise all 5 kids. My only disappointment is that I was really wanting to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour, but the girls are too young and wouldn't want to spoil any of the magic for the boys. Staying in a rental villa Nov. 10-17th. Counting the days!!

Congrats on your trip! :goodvibes Hope your surprise goes well!!

Could you take the girls to a kids club while the rest of you do the tour?

Congrats on staying at CBR, we love it! :goodvibes There were about half boys and half girls on the pirate cruise when my kids did it. So I think your DD would enjoy it. If you click on my CBR review in my signature it tells a little about the pirate cruise and has a bunch of pics! pirate:

To make a signature just click on your User CP in the top left corner and go from there. To get a countdown just click on someone's ticker and it should take you to the site. There are several countdown/ticker sites out there now. Once you make it then you copy and paste the link here in your signature. PM me if you need help! :thumbsup2
