OK... this is kinda a long story...

When I started planning my trip (in 2006) I had every intention to go with my boyfriend, Eric. We had both been talking about how we wanted our trip to go. Well we broke up in January. My mom said that she was willing to go with me if my dad approved (since my mom is a SAHM, my dad has to pay for her, plus my brother and sister aren't responsible enough for themselves nor do they have cars to get themselves to and from work).

Anyways... Eric and I have remained very good friends... maybe we'll get back together, we'll see in the future. One day I was talking about my trip to Disney World and Eric said he'd like to go. So I told him he gets nothing until I get the money for the trip.

So last night he called me and left me a voicemail that he has the cash to go.

I went on a cruise with an ex because we had both already paid, we got back together and broke up again both while on the cruise LOL
we are not married now LMAO

My ex will have to be willing to move to the giant O-Town if he wants to be with me... since thats where I'm heading.

We have our trip planned for Nov 2-10. Our original ressie was at POP. When the code came out I contacted my AAA TA to find out what she can do. I could have stayed at POP and saved $400 if I would have given up my preferred view for a standard. INSTEAD what we did is upgrade to CBR for only $40 more!! FYI, we could have also chosen POR or POFQ for the $40 difference. So I didn't have any problem with the code being applied to my POP ressie and I did NOT have to switch. That was just our personal chioce to do so. Hope that helps! I do suppose it all depends on when certain people called too. 5 minutes before I cancelled my POP ressie there may have been no availability with the code. You call back 5 minutes after I cancelled, and your in... So when the time comes, if you don't get what you want the first time call back...again and again.. Good luck!

Okay, do to another trip planned for next June and a possible work related trip in May I decided to get an AP. So I called to change my tics and was told I could get upgraded from Standard to Courtyard view for a total of $94 dollars. This is $94 for two rooms to be upgraded. I was a bit disappointed (okay a lot) because others have gotten such great deals. Don't care about room location and just want to get the cost down not up. But DH was estactic about the upgrade and I know my mom will love it. So here we are. Oh yeah, we are at the WL are have 93 days to go.

I am so excited, I just used the QXD code and was able to upgrade to a moderate from a value for the same price, I hate staying at the Values but there were so many of us going this time, we decided to do that, now we get to stay at my all time favorite French Quarter!!!!!!!!

We changed our reservations from POP to CBR and saved $25 when the discount codes came out. We are still traveling Nov. 23-28.

As a side note, we are traveling Airtran from Indy to MCO. I just checked the flight info, and our return flight had been changed from a 3:00 p.m. departure to 1:47 p.m. I couldn't really complain, because the flight only cost $89 per person. I called Airtran to check on our reservations and they moved us to a different flight, leaving at 7:15 p.m. instead, free of charge and it's non stop. We arrive back at Indy only 1 hour later and we get an extra 5 hours of Disney time for free!

We were going to fly out of Indy also but it was between Indy and Day and my Mom is driving us and is more comfortable with Day, do you live in OH, KY or IN?

I'm looking at mid to late November. I know not to go during Jersey Week and not to go the week before Thanksgiving. That's about all.

How do I go about getting the best deal(probably looking at one of the Premium level resorts)?

I am so excited for $606 2 adults, 1 child, at Pop with a 1 day base ticket. Much better than the AP discount, which stinks since I have my 1st AP. But the 1 day ticket will give me an excuse to plan another trip sometime.

I am not a newbie to the boards, but to this thread. We are planning to be in Orlando on the above dates. I have called the darn long distance disney number five times in the last hour trying to sort things out.

I have the disney email code for five days and four nights, plus tickets. I only want two nights and no tickets. I may add in tickets before November or when we get there, but for now, I just want to book three rooms. I have tried the AAA rate and these are sold out at all value resorts at the moment.

Also, can someone just tell me if we do stay at a value resort, is there a free shuttle to the airport?

Any other suggestions for codes or discounts for our large family?

Yes, Thanksgiving week is crowded but NOT the week prior to Thanksgiving which is when we will be there!

Did you check the moderates with the AAA rate? IF there is a AAA rate at the mods it may be the same or cheaper than the value at rack rate. Also, yes you can use Magical Express to and from the airport at no charge for staying on Disney property.

I did ask about AAA rates for Moderate and played with the codes that I do have, but nothing worked out to our advantage.

I was pretty sure about the Magical Express...but not positive, so thanks for the confirmation.
