November 2008 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Cancelled

I am looking for ADR for HDDR for November 8th or 9th for a party of 7. We are willing to split into 2 tables. Also looking for Chef Mickey's on November 9th party of 7 for breakfast. Again willing to split into 2 parties.

If I can't get Narcooseee's I'll probably keep CFG. My daughter really wants to try Lobster for the first time though...

I'm not going to be there until the end of Nov. but wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of your bad luck and wish you a speedy recovery!

Unfortunately I had a horrible accident and we have had to cancel our trip. I'll spare you all the awful details, but I figure some nice people on the DIS should be able to take advantage of these great places and times. So here goes, these are all for 5 people(except Le Cellier which is for 4 people):

Hi there, I'm planning our family's first ever trip to WDW and and thought I would post here in hopes of some magic

If anyone is cancelling for Nov. 29 & 30 I would love to find category 2 in the following (I currently have cat 3 for both):

Nov. 29/08 - Spirit of Aloha, Cat. 2, 5:15 show

Nov. 30/08 - Hoop Dee Doo, Cat. 2, 7:15 show

Unfortunately I don't have anything to trade (as who in their right mind would trade DOWN a category seating ) but if I can upgrade my seating would certainly try to help someone else out with my old reservations.

Talk about being in shock!!! I cannot believe I was on the phone with WDW-DINE when someone canceled!!!

This was a complete accident!

I had originally asked for 11/26 for CRT party of 4 - nothing. Then I said to check 11/30 for PSB party of 3 - nothing. But she said hey how many if you get CRT on 11/30 - I said "HUH?" Your joking right!

I was trying for the PSB in Epcot since my DH had a Segway tour at that time, I figured I'd take my BOYS and surprise them (they want to meet the princesses ) Plus I have so many DxDDP points to spend! I had to rearrange things and thankfully the tour was available on 11/26 for DH! I booked that in July! He would not have been happy to cancel the tour for breakfast in the castle! He's a segway junkie!

Lots of luck! It seems that things are becoming available for T-giving week since we passed the 45 day window.

I would never trade 1900 Park Fare for Chef Mickey's! The food is so much better at 1900 Park Fare!

I personally don't get the hype with Chef Mickey's. I like breakfast, but dinner literally made my entire family ill in June.

We have 1900 PF for our departure night! And yes, we have done both and love them both...but for different reasons! It's more about the characters...less about the food! In fact, we didn't much care for the food at 1900 but my dd LOVED dancing with Prince Charming and I just LOVE the stepsisters! And Chef Mickey's is more about nostalgia for me as it was the first place we ever ate when our now 15 and 12 were 2 and 5! So, more sentimental...and something they insist on!

Oh, I totally understand! My DS4 requests restaurants based solely on the characters!

Unfortunately, Chef Mickey's is as tough to get as Le Cellier.

You honestly have a better chance of getting any restaurant that requires a credit card hold since people can't just "blow it off". They need to cancel the reservation or be charged a fee.

Hope you do find an ADR!

I have kept the LT and LeCell for now till I can either find someone that can swap with us, so we can get a table of 5 or just give it to someone on here. DW and I don't really care about LT, but she is upset not to eat at LeCell. We would take anyday including lunch for LeCellier for a party of 5.

Do you think we could just use our party of 4 ressie for 5? We really only have 4 people eating....1 is a newborn that can sit on our lap. Advice, swapping would be appreciated.

I would keep the reservations the way they are. Especially since one of the people on your reservation is a newborn.

One of our reservations a couple years ago my husband made it for 4 instead of the 5 we needed ( My mother was coming with us). I tried and tried to change the reservation to 5 with no luck. So we decided to see what would happen when we checked in. My husband was prepared to give his spot to my mother if they weren't able to take us in as 5. We got to the restaurant and explained the situation and they took all of us in.

I really don't think you will have a problem.
