November 2007 chat

I don't really know yet. There is so much that I want to do, and since I've never been there for Christmas, there's even more that I want to do. I'm staying at ASMovies and I only have one reservation for dinner at Le Cellier. I'm still trying to figure out what else to do. It's been an on-going process, which takes up just about ever minute of my free time during the day. (Not obsessing too much.)

I was going to ask you your plans, but I went back and read them on the other page.

We would like to do a Dis meet on 11/29 At MK -- We would love for you to join us :yay: :yay: Perhaps - POTC???? :rolleyes1

Hey Snowbell glad to see you are back from your weekend trip!! How was the world?

My sister, my darling 4 year old niece and I will be at WDW Nov. 24-30 for a girls only early Christmas trip.
We will be at Pop Century.
Don't have a plan yet (but working on it.):santa:

We have changed our reservation to POFQ. We haven't stayed there and decided to go for it this time. The pics of it at Christmas look beautiful. Just the ambiance we are looking for.
We are not going to MVMCP. No particular reason why.
Don't really have any plans made yet but we do have one ADR for LeCellier.
I live in Kansas and DSis lives in Wyoming. E-Mailing back & forth and calling to try to figure something out. I'm the planner and probably already driving DSis crazy.:rotfl:
Countin' down the days !!!!!

I don't think I'm there yet! Just kidding sis!

I am looking forward to being at the World at Christmas time as I have been wanting to do this awhile and even better I get to spend time with my favorite sister who lives so far away!:woohoo:

And I am excited about going to a resort I haven't been to before. Now, if I could just decide Pooh or Mickey!:confused3

Even though my itinerary is not done yet, I am going to set one day to visit as many of the hotels and/or the places with the gingerbread houses. I am going to do a spa treatment at the Grand Floridan for two hours and then I think I might devote the rest of my day to just traveling around visiting everything "holiday." I can smell the gingerbread now. :santa:

Is anybody else going to go to visit any of the hotels? Do you have any suggestions of which ones to definately see and which ones to avoid?

I stayed at CSR for Thanksgiving last year - We went to see some of the hotels - In my opinion - Go check out Boardwalk/Beach/Yacht Club, Grand Floridian and AK. Absolutely beautiful.. i cannot wait to stay at the Boardwalk this November - my first time.

and -so happy that you will be at the dismeet.. once we get closer to the date, we can come up with a time that is good for everyone. preferably the AM. :santa:

Hey Snowbell glad to see you are back from your weekend trip!! How was the world?

It was amazing - Thanks for asking. Since it was a short trip, we only did the parks for one day and hung out at DTD and the Grand Floridian (o - and we did that other park for one day... US - IOA ) :rotfl:

I agree with snowbelle on the resorts to visit for the decorations. The Swan & Dolphin are also very nice at that time of year -- there is a huge tree at the Dolphin, and a village set up at the Swan (can't remember what kind).

snowbelle -- I noticed that you are eating dinner at Le Cellier on the 30th. We will be there that night also, at 7:00.

Is it time to go yet??? :goodvibes

I want to stay at AK so badly. In two years, I'm thinking of doing the cruise. With the room size that I want on the cruise (claustrophobic:sick: ) I can stay in the more expensive hotels. And I think AK will be it.

Of course, my theory now is, I'm going to visit Disney for every holiday, and stay at every hotel. Which is why I'm working on a Sunday (OT) and saving all my change for future Disney trips.

Oh and Snowbell, Boardwalk is one of my favorite places also. Hope you enjoy your stay there. It is beautiful.

Thanks for the advice all. :grouphug:

We have 2 rooms booked at POFQ for Nov. 27 - Dec. 3 and going to the Christmas Party on the 29th.
This is the 3rd trip for the baby - who will be 6 right before we go. I would estimate this to be our 25th trip since our first one in 1992.

Our first WDW vacation will be coming up Nov. 5th-10th, while we're there we'll also be celebrating my son's fifth birthday!

Our tentative schedule:

Arrive
Mon, Nov 5th between 1 and 2.
Early Dinner at Portobello Yacht Club 4:30
DS to Animal Kingdom's Simba's Clubhouse while mommy and daddy relax.

Tues Nov 6th

Lunch at Hollywood & Vine with Playhouse Disney Characters 1:30

Wed, Nov 7th
Animal Kingdom (pm extra magic hours!)

Thurs, Nov 8th
Magic Kingdom (am extra magic hours!)
Breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 11am

Fri, Nov 9th
Epcot (pm extra magic hours)
Food & Wine Festival
Dinner at Ohana's 8:10
Birthday cake from Boardwalk Bakery and watch Wishes!

Sat, Nov 10th
Magic Kingdom
10:10 breakfast at Crystal palace (may change)

:( leave.

anything I need to know/add/change/fix? any recommendations?

My son is ASD (PDD-NOS) but seeks stimulus instead of shying away. We plan on taking at least an hour or two break in the middle of the day for some downtime. And stopping by one of the in park playground areas for a while before leaving the park to get all our "ya-yas" out.

I'm new to the DIS, but I would still like to meet some of you so if you're going to be there too, let's hook up for at least a soda or something!

Staying at ASSp November 25- December 1. Celebrating my Birthday at Disney. Not doinf MVMCP However. Does not seem to be worth it. Kids not interested and Hubby not willing to spend the dough.

Will you be at mk on the 29th? There is a Dis meet that day

i took My Mom to AK about two years ago -- It was amazing.. I wish I was on the disboards then though b/c I think I had the worst room (forgot the #) -- either way - you will LOVE IT... and if you do go there you HAVE to eat at JIKO -- The greatest, most original Disney meal ever.
