November 19, 2009 3-day Wonder Cruise

Only three staterooms are participating so far. On my last two cruises it was usually around a dozen participating.

I would love for more people to join in - this is an easy exchange (again this is separate from the Fish Extender exchange) because you just swap magnets (either ones you've bought or ones you've made).

Hi Everyone
I was looking at former posts and found this person whom wanted to do the magnet exchange. Please go back to the post and contact him if you want to do the magnet exchange. You can find magnet ideas by searching the Dis discussions or on your own.
I pretty much have the FE list done. Just waiting for those last minute people. I will be sending out the list on the 24th. (I pretty much bought enough for 12 cabins and we were at 9 last time I checked lol)

I am still debating if I am going to send all my FE gifts to the hotel via the USPS or make room in my luggage for them:confused3 I went through my box and found I still have some crafts to make yet and the box is pretty big. I am just worried the box may be lost.

It's my baby's Birthday today. She's 4:banana: We went to see the Wiggles yesterday and had a blast!

Hi everyone-

Feeling good because I happened across some great fish extender gifts today. Actually I have to give the credit to my daughter who was browsing at the dollar spot at Target today and her eagle eye spoted some great Disney stuff. We came away with a bunch of goodies! :cool1:

I vote for "November Nauticals" as our group name, has a nice ring to it.

As far as a group meet, I have participated in a couple of these before. One time we met in a lounge just down the hall from the main atrium. It was a nice quiet place to meet, easy to find and there was a bar and lots of chairs. (Of course it didn't really matter because hardly anybody from the group showed up and we it was kind of a flop!) On our last cruise we met in the main atrium, right in front of the restaurant. There is no sitting there of course but we had a ton of people and everybody just mingled about for a while. We took pictures on the steps in front of the restaurant and it worked out quite well. Both times we met on the first day, 2 or 3 pm I think. By then everybody is on board and the DIS types have been settled for a while. I'd vote for something like this over a breakfast meet on the Nassau day as I think many people will either be busy getting ready to go ashore or trying to sleep in.

Happy Monday, only a matter of weeks now until vacation!

Happy birthday wishes to your son tink!

For anyone interested in the door magnets, there is a thread here on the DIS boards where a few VERY talented designers take requests for artwork, logos, etc... for FREE! They do AMAZING work, and have already done several for my family. It really helps decorate your door, and allows you to pick out your room among all of the other one's that look just like it. Plus, they are great to keep AFTER the cruise, to put in your bedroom, or to scrapbook with. If you're interested in this at all, whether you want to exchange them or not, check out this link:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2299290

Hopefully that posted. If not, just send me a PM and/or a private email and I will send you the link.

See y'all in a MONTH!!!

forgot to mention...if you check out that link, look for screen names "milliepie" or "jordak." They do amazing work!

Thanks for the concern Mike:) Robert SAILED thru surgery and is pretty much back to his normal self already!

Sueandkent...where are you staying? We are at BWV and it will be me, DH, DD16, DS14 and 2 friends both 14. We go to Disney at least once or twice a year and go thru the parks like we are on a mission:) Once the cruise arrives, we are definitely looking to relax.......

We have booked a Cat 2, 8516 for the 6 of us. We usually stay in Cat 3's and are looking forward to trying the 2. We're also at late seating for dinner, works out better for us with older kids!

Can't wait to see you all!!!!!

Amy

P.S. Guys make the meet when it works out for most and we will certainly try to have at least part of our group there. If not, feel free to recognize us by our signature pic and say hi!
Glad to hear Robert is doing great Amy. I will definitely look you guys up, whether or not you make it to the meeting. We too have second seating for dinner. I'm sure we'll "run into" one another at some point. I mean, I know the boat is HUGE, but it's not so big as not to pass by the same people a few times.

Another vote for "November Nautical'!" I think I am beginning to see a trend here.

As far as the meeting goes, it really doesn't matter to me. We're pretty flexible. Obviously, we can't make everyone happy and fit within everybody's schedule...but we'll do our best. Please continue to post your ideas and thoughts on what time would work for your family.

Hey guys and gals! That clock just keeps ticking away towards our cruise in just 1 month! Can I get a WOOOO HOOOOO!?

I feel as if I've known some of you forever, and thanks for allowing me to share my excitement and enthusiasm about this cruise with all of you.

I'm also pretty excited about another venture that I am into, and is therefore the basis of my screen name. Mainstreet Mugs is the title of the Disney review and critique show that my friend Justin Poe and I have designed; where we just basically talk about WDW attractions, rides, shows, parades, fireworks, dining, resorts, etc. We have many "vlogs" or video reviews we have done that are on our youTube channel. You'll find that link in my signature line.

We also have a weekly internet radio call-in show on Blog Talk Radio. This show (Mainstreet Mugs LIVE!) airs every Tuesday night at 9pm CENTRAL. We can take live phone calls and you can chat LIVE in the chat room. I'd love for you guys to check it out and tell me what you think! Again, that link is below in my signature line.

We're also on facebook and twitter. Those links are in my signature line too.

If you're into podcasting on iTunes, we're there too. Search for us in the iTunes store under "mainstreet mugs."

And one last thing that I am VERY excited about. I took a shot at applying for this years WDW Mom's Panel, as they have opened it up for Dads too. Out of 20,000 people who applied, I have made it to round 2! I had to submit a photo and answer 3 more "essay-style" questions for round 2, and should know something by the end of the month. If I make it to round 3, I will be called by the organizers of the mom's panel for a telephone interview. Depending on how that goes, if I win... I am a WDW Mom's Panelist for a year, and even get VIP treatment during a 4 day WDW training session in December! I know you can't "vote" for me, but please say a prayer and wish me luck. I would LOVE to do this!!!

As far as the "vlogs," radio show and podcasts go; we don't make a dime off of them right now. It's just a labor of love, and an excuse to talk about on of the greatest joys in life...DISNEY! Please check 'em out if you have time.

Thanks! See y'all on the Wonder in a MONTH!

Thanks Ellen!

Oh yes, I will definitely keep all of you updated on the status of the WDW Moms Panel selection process.

And yes, I will definitely be doing a review of my upcoming cruise. In fact, I may even do a live call-in for our weekly radio show.

We are in the same boat:rotfl: and have booked a rental with Budget. They will pick us up at the port and we can drop the car back off at MCO. Also, Budget is apparently right at the airport terminal.

Hello,
We decided to rent a car from budget also. Do you know anything about the shuttle they offer? I will need to take it from the port to the rental place. Thanks for any information.

Hello everyone!

I haven't been on to check in a while , catching up on all the new posts. My vote is for the "November Nautical's" also whatever time everyone wants to meet is fine with me. I will be taking a easy too the day we are in Nassau. We plan on only visiting the aquarium in the afternoon.

I am counting down the days until my Disney vacation starts. 25 to go !:dance3::dance3:

Hey Mike-

Thanks for letting us know about the Mainstreet Mugs stuff. I just listened to one of your reviews on utube and friended you on Facebook. Love it that there are others out there who love Disney the way I love Disney!

Good luck on the "mom's" panel thing, seems as if it would be right up your alley.

Thanks for checking out some of the reviews. I hope you liked them. I got your vote for Crush N' Gusher, and also your friend request on facebook. If you get a chance, listen to us tomorrow night at 9pm CENTRAL on BLOG TALK RADIO. Our weekly LIVE internet radio show is called "Mainstreet Mugs LIVE!" We'd love to have you call in! The link can be found in my signature line.

Also, thanks for the good luck wishes on the Mom's Panel.

I haven't quite figured it all out yet. I was planning to wait until the two wee out mark to call budget and find out the details on getting the shuttle. When I do I will certainly let you know or if you find out first, let us know.

Since I am a retired executive secretary, I feel compelled to point out (gently, of course) that November Nautical's should be November Nauticals, without the apostrophe. Nauticals makes it plural, as in all of us. Nautical's indicates singular possessive, as in the November Nautical's touring plan or whatever. Sounds like there's just one person.

Hope I'm not offending anyone with my obsessive-compulsiveness. :lmao:
Cheers!

That's what I thought too, and no offense taken. Can you believe though that the spell check on my MAC tell's me that typing it without an apostrophe is wrong? Hmmm...I'll just start ignoring it!
