November 19, 2009 3-day Wonder Cruise

Hello! My name is Mike. My family of 5 (me, my wife, my 2 teenage boys 14 & 13 and my 8 year old daughter) will be cruising for the VERY FIRST TIME aboard the Disney Wonder the week before Thanksgiving! We are so excited! This is our first cruise, so we are a little anxious, but know we'll all have a great time. We are going to follow-up our trip with 5 days at WDW when we get done with the cruise. We'll be at WDW November 22-27, 2009. I'd love to meet some of you whilw we're on the cruise. The fish extender and door decoration thing sounds like a lot of fun. How do I get involved? Hope to hear from some of you guys and gals soon!

I am sooo excited! I found some cute Wisconsin merchandise at our mall yesterday! I am still finding stuff here and there and am still looking for those whom want to participate in the exchange. The 19th will be our 30 day mark! Can you believe it?
I have been tanning in prep for the cruise. (So I don't burn like a piece of bacon lol!)

Wow---6 weeks and counting!!!! It will be here before we know it!!! Has anyone taken the water taxi from the pier in Nassau to Atlantis on their own? We have taken excursions in the past, but thought about trying that on our own. We are having record highs here in central Florida....I hope the weather holds out for our trip!!! It seems everytime we cruise in November, it rains. Can't wait to see ya'll on board!!!!

Hello! We (my husband, myself, DS 14, and DD 12) are doing the same thing (Cruise and then WDW). Where are you staying while at WDW? We are going to be at the Wilderness Lodge.

Only three staterooms are participating so far. On my last two cruises it was usually around a dozen participating.

I would love for more people to join in - this is an easy exchange (again this is separate from the Fish Extender exchange) because you just swap magnets (either ones you've bought or ones you've made).

Well I looked at the DCL site and we are 40 days away! Yippee! I got my Magical Express Tags in the Mail today!

I am going to be closing out the FE list on October 25th.(If anyone thinks the day should be sooner let me know!) That should give us enough time before we take off on our vacations. By that time we may know the cabin numbers of the GTY cabins.

If anyone else wants to be included please send me your cabin number, who (ex. DD(7), DH etc..) allergies if any, and an contact email. I will also post in here and let everyone know I sent out the list and we can make any corrections if necessary.

From what I see we have 10 cabins so far with two being connecting cabins. This is about what we had on our four night. We did plan to meet at the castaway party on that cruise but it was too congested. I hope to meet some of you though! If anyone is interested maybe we can pick a time to meet in the atrium and get a group photo?

Hiya Everyone!
This is our bounceback cruise. We originally went on a 4 day this March. We are planning to come and stay at POP on the 16th and go to the VMCP at WDW. We have always come down during Easter and this is our first time seeing Disney at Christmas!
I am so excited! We are in 6558 near the midship elevators this time. Our last room was 6618 which was AFT. I wanted to try something different this time.
I can't wait to meet and do a FE exchange.

Welcome... We are renting points and trying out the new BLT. I could only get a lake view though(renting a studio).

We will be celebrating my wife's college graduation in December of 2009, and my sons 13th birthday. Actually, he will already be 13...but we've told him this cruise **IS** his birthday present this year!

Both my girls will be in the Club. Cassie is 9 and Claire is 4. Cassie didn't want to come out of the club one day and loved it. This will be Claire's first time as she was in Flounders on our 4 day Last time we took some alone time and went down to the pool and Palo's was a nice time too. I think we are going to try the rainforest spa room this time.

Hope Cassie can meet and play with my Diana in the Oceaneer Club. She's 8

Can someone tell me a little more about the bounceback cruises? I assume you have to book while you're onboard and you get a really good discount. What category is the $99 cruise for?

Does the cost depend on what date you're going to be cruising next time and what category you want? We're staying in a Cat 9 room at Cat 10 price (secret porthole room) this time. I'm wondering what the bounceback fare is liable to be.

I have invited my sister-in-law to join us on this cruise and she said yes. She's never cruised before and never even been to WDW. Her husband is going to a conference in Orlando the week of our cruise and she's coming down with him from Tennessee. We're going to be staying at AKV so I also invited her to come spend Wednesday night with us in a 1-bedroom concierge room at Jambo House and ride over to the port with us in the morning.
She may even come spend a couple days with us in the parks. I'm really excited about showing her WDW and hoping she'll get hooked. This is all a surprise for my DH and it's been tough for my SIL and me to keep this a secret but so far so good. Hopefully he won't know about it until she shows up on our doorstep one morning to catch a ride to a Disney park!

She's in the process of getting a passport and hopefully she'll have it by the tme we're ready to make shore excursion reservations. I think I might have even talked her into parasailing with us!

Count us in! Myself 26, my husband 29 ds 3 and ds 1. Both boys have birthdays in January so almost 4 and 2. I can't wait for the Christmas decor. Anyone know what temps we are going to be looking at for this time of the year. I am most curious about the Castaway Cay water temp. I know the boys are brave enough I just wonder if we will be able to handle it!

I've read conflicting reports on when the Christmas decorations go up on the ship. Are we about a week too early???
