Look Willie, a pic of me without a Miller lite.......

Jump back! Lampy without a Miller lite! Are you sure there wasn't one hiding under that vest???

Willie...Yeah, I'm looking forward the MVMCP...not so crowded, snow on Main Street and the parade...yeah, big kid here! I can't wait!!!

Lampy, thanks for the Indy flight info...still looks to be the cheapest departure point for us at Christmas...right now about $185/person and that is flying back to Indy on Christmas night. I'm holding off to see Southwest's price though.

Yeah, weather here has been in the upper 70s and low 80s today which I'll take any day over snow a foot deep! :cold:

Just wanna brag about Nic, he got 2 1st (piano and trombone) and 1 1st superior (ensemble) at state last Saturday. His duet partner ended up sick as a dog and could not make the contest so they didn't perform...he was fine with it. Tonight is the choir concert so I'd better shove off so I can get him to it on time.

Take care ya'll! Dagnabit...those Texans are contagious! :goodvibes

I was trying to find a way to put a beer on top of the snorkle tube........LOL

I was trying to figure out a way to put one on top of the snorkle tube.......

scorpio -- no newbie nonsense :) did you get your questions answered? don't feel bad, we did a 4 day wonder and even after my extensive reading and Passporter book, I never knew there was a Palo brunch! at all let alone during the cruise I was on! humph!

Yes but No.... I still do not see anything about the brunch on the REAS package ... and for me being my first cruise it still looks like I can only reserve anything at 75 days out unless of course I want to wait until 30 and call the number they gave me???? Again, I could not request a dining rotation which I thought was one of the bennies and reserving Palo and Spa seems to be online at 75 days out no earlier for the package... am I missing something? :confused3

Lampy, now I see how you have 1500 posts!

Scorpio,

If I understand this right, with REAS, we get to book our Palo brunch, dinner, spa, 105 days out. Last year I did all of those, plus I was asked if I had a REQUEST (not guaranteed) for a dining rotation. I did not care which rotation I had. So I didn't request. I think that 105 days out is around Monday, August 8th. I do not know if we can make shore excursion ressies that early with REAS. From what I have read 105 is the timeline for concierge and REAS. 90 days out for Castaway club, and 75 days out for first time cruisers.
I hope that this info helps you. And like I said, I have just gathered this from the boards. You may want to make a call to TA or DCL to make sure. I plan on calling on August 8th to start making mine.
Last year, when I got on the ship, I went to add folks to Palo brunch, but could only put a max of six.
Willie

Doogie,
Lampy has a photo in his posts of him with Kim comming out of CC snorkeling. You may want to check your user settings to see why no pics are showing. Maybe turned off? Are you seeing the photo I have in my post?

Willie

Doogie has his "settings" to only see snorkelers with "speedos and chips" in them I bet! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: @ Willie.......I don't know about you guys but every time I post it takes FOREVER to get back to the forums lately.....think I'm being monitored? :confused3

Sometimes the DIS is fast, sometimes it crawls.... today is a crawler. Maybe the monitors ARE watching. Who knows? Someone had to looking in last year for you and Laura to get tagged. They had you guys down pat. And we DID get a visit once from the BIG KAHUNA Tag Fairy.

Thanks.... I just don't see it written anywhere and I read a post earlier today on the general board regarding how the ?? were up in arms about what to do with all the REAS peeps now that there is online availability in advance... i think it was an abbreviation for the people on board??? M somethings? can't really jump back there from here :)

Don't count on the "online ressies" staying......so I have heard. Looks like it's not going over well with CC club members.....expect it to fall off the web site with the next upgrade........so I've heard.... :smooth:

scorpio -- ok i'm having a senior moment, or blonde moment; quite frankly i just don't remember -- did you book REAS? i would assume your REAS ressie date would override your 'norm' booking date for a first-time DCL cruiser. personally, I would call on the first date I may even THINK i can qualify for making the Palo/Spa ressies and the worse thing happens is they tell me to call back on such date. We booked through a TA so I have already given her our preferences and she will do that for us. Did you book through a TA? Have you considered transferring to one if it would be less stressful?? You may get some kind of rebate or on-board credit as well?

I don't know that REAS package specifically says you can make your brunch ressies as well, that is more info i learned off the boards and I would just try it

best to get all your ducks in a row, what rotation you want to request, when you want to go to Palo dinner and/or brunch, when you want your spa appt, etc and just call and ask on that first date you feel you are entitled to make them.

just my .02

i haven't been on boards much either lately, very slow for me as well

we had some very warm and beautiful weather, today is windy and chilly. i'm ready for spring!

did anyone's teens do the Teen excursion on CC last year?? opinions???

molli

RE Teen excursion- I am trying to talk my teen and her friend into signing up for it this year. we saw them go by us one day at CC and they were having a blast, laughing and cutting up.

Lampy- I love the back yard. How do you mow that slope? Can you tell I am a flatlander? But I CAN mow, drink a brew, and swat skeeters at the same time.

Hey Willie...

My daddy used to say the skeeters around here were so big, they didn't know if they should eat ya here or carry ya off for later! I can only imagine the size of them Texan Skeeters....everythings bigger in Texas, right?

Teen excursion.......Our DDs will be in the same age bracket for the first time ever.....13 and 15 makes the 13-17 bracket. So maybe we can talk them into one on one of the TWO CC days!!! Then head to the adult beach....can you believe, 4 sailings and NEVER been there.....rode by once on the bikes in 02.

Willie......mow the lawn :rotfl2: ....just kidding. I got sick and tired of dragging the mower between the two houses so I hired a service for the other house.....then yes, I can mow and have a miller....but you are right Willie.....not up THAT hill and that is the smaller part of the lot....246 ft from street to lake so every Friday, I come home from work and the grass is good to go for the weekend....... :cool1: :sunny:

Laura, we do have some pretty good sized ones here in East Texas. I think I have been bitten so many times in my life, that I am just about immune to them. I don't even get a bump any more.

Willie

......and I hardly ever have to get the shotgun after the skeeters here anymore.

Hi Molli -

Its cold and grey in Chicago, too :-( BLAH!

I'm doing the May challenge, too!

My teens weren't interested in the teen clubs at all on our last cruise. They preferred to just hang out, basically. It was good because my two elder (18 and 17) had each other and then my two younger (13 and 9) pal'ed around with each other.
