Did I see where someone mentioned in an earlier post that there is no formal night? Pam

PS We have actually had gas between $2.11 and $2.18 many times lately....

Ok, you guys talk way too much way too quickly! Thank God my internet connection was only broken for one day, as I have been trying to catch up for the last 20 minutes! By the time I finish this, most likely you will all be 5 more pages ahead!

Thanks for letting me know about the Banana Caribe. Maybe that is the drink I am thinking of? Oh well, might as well find out and give it a taste! :teeth:

Marriage - been married for 17 years. I am lucky to have found someone that puts up with me!

Work - I volunteer a lot at my daughters' schools, also work as a home-based travel agent, take care of my clients' pets when they are out of town, and last year started working as a cashier at a car dealer a few nights a week.

Hey, did I read correctly, we don't have a formal night anymore?!!?? But I forced DH and daughters to go shopping for nice clothes!! I want to wear my formal outfit! What happened, when did this change?

Kathleen

Oops, just saw that Cody's mom asked about formal night too. See, I am too slow with the replies!

lampy -- snow! seriously!! i think we have a high of 60 on saturday! or did i miss something. i'm trying to keep up, really i am; but i'm short on play time for dis with my long to do before cruise list!!

packing? ha! never!

took youngest DD to the Y tonight to practice snorkeling at the pool. she tried at CC in '03 but gave up rather quickly. tonight she felt she got the hang of it but wants to practice a bit more. yes honey, mommy has ALL the time in the world to hang out in the pool :earseek:

Poor Kim? Doesn't anyone feel bad for poor Lampy? :confused3 I'm the one with 2 teen daughters and a wife of 16 years and MY DOG is even a female......WHAT ABOUT LAMPY? :badpc: :rotfl2:

Work? I get paid per post on the disboards!!

Poor Lampy- :charac2: Two daughters- Hah! I've got three, and our dog is a female too. And I don't even have a "pop" machine to help me cope. My Mother In Law gave me a sign that says: "There is a special place in heaven for the Father of three daughters." Actually, I get treated like a king, so I am not complaining.

Playing Catch-Up

Hubby and I just celebrated 10 years in September. Went to Disney w/o kids. 1st Stay on property (Port Orleans) and had the free dining plan.

Cheapest gas prices around here are $2.39 (we're in New England)

Hubby and DD (8) are booked on a banana boat ride Friday at 11am

ICEMANPAD-We are staying at the Hampton Inn on Friday. We have a son who is Mason's age :)

Jobs: I'm a mom and short order chef (at least that's how it feels). Keep busy as a brownie leader and tiger cub leader. Hubby is a computer geek, but got promoted to director after spending 9 months in England last year. Unfortunately, DH is a bit of a beer snob after living abroad and drinking cast edition ales. He could teach the beer tasting class, but he'll go for the beer.

Doogie: May also want to chat onboard regarding your DVC points. Hubby would love to own, but I had purchased Westgate (no comments from the peanut gallery) before knowing about DVC and before meeting hubby.

I got to try out part of my pirate costume tonight. DD hit my arm as I was about to rub my eye and instead I stuck my finger right into it. I couldn't keep the eye open so I used my handy dandy pirate eye patch. At least the kids got a laugh out of it. pirate:

There is no way we are going to get any of our Christmas decorations up before we cruise. It is in the 80's here-I can't think about Christmas. We are going to have to do it all when we get back. Luckily, it doesn't take that long to decorate a single wide.

Gfolchick-Hopefully we will see each other at the Hampton Inn!! On saturday morning, we will be the ones in the matching green t-shirts!!

Dena-Chuck and I are both attorneys. We work at the same office!!

The work thing -

I'm a retired Air Force Major, Aerospace Engineering Degree from the University of Colorado (who are now 7-2 - I just hope they don't have to play the Longhorns). I worked on aircraft and computer systems during assignments in Massachusetts, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. I also spent 2 wonderful years in Korea working protocol for the 4 star general. Lots of long hours, neat stories, and got to travel to Australia and China (personal) and the length of South Korea in a helicopter (work). I'm now a special education paraprofessional, and I'm finishing up my Masters in elementary education (ask me about this on the cruise). My wife hopes I'm working as a certified teacher next fall.

DW has a business degree, and was a SAHM for about 12 years, with many years as a school volunteer. She started work as a school bookkeeper the same time I was hired a as paraprofessional.

You are a true fan. Ya gotta root for em, win or lose. Those fairweather fans will jump onboard only during winning times.

Will

Hey Will,

Before I even begin to ponder what I believe will be several pages of missed e-mails (i didn't even peek ahead)... I had season tickets for years back in the early 80s ... we (my 3 girlfriends and I (way pre-marriage and kids)) dropped out when they outlawed tailgating (i think it still exists today but I like the comfort of my fridge and bathroom close by) who doesn't like steak tartar after the game... those marinated steaks we thought we'd eat pregame but decided to guzzle at 10:00 a.m. till game time ... only to come out starvacious? and eat raw meat LOL!! I'd love to say those were the days but when my friends come over hmmmmm... similar things take place :earseek:

I believe the first game that I will have EVER missed since then will take place when my family and I are waverunning on castaway .... so fairweather friend... not a chance!

So Kill them Cowboys :rotfl2:

Don't know how long it's been since you've had a sweep... I might have to check that out after i peruse all i've missed since I left work at 4 EST.

I was wondering what everyone did for work.
I quit working we when moved but for about 17 yrs. I did inside sales for a computer company, mostly working with large aerospace accounts. DH is also in the computer biz and is a supply chain manager for a board mfgr.

Dena

Just taking them in order now :rotfl2: not caring if I have 50 replies at the end of this venture... we are aiming for 4000 right

I am the Manager of Training Services at a large law firm... basically that means I and my trainers teach'em all how to use all the software we offer on the puter... we are really busy now as our Baltimore office is getting ready to move THE WEEKEND WE SAIL (yeah!) but we are rolling out a couple new things for them, one of which is MessageOne EMS an emergency e-mail system... I go to school at night for toooooo long (my family will say) to get my elementary and special ed certifications so that if I hit the lottery I can teach school and have the summers off with my kiddos (by then they might be taking care of me!) actually though after this semester I only have 7 credits left... but could never afford to quit work for student teaching ...
