magyar2-We are next to you in 6042. There are 4 of us: me, DH and 2 kids DD8 and DS6. Hopefully you won't think I'm a lunatic. I've already asked my kids as a birthday present to please be good this trip. Their petty fighting is really getting to me. I may be spending a lot of time alone on my verandah :)

I'm still trying to book the Tequila Beach party. Since our DS is 6 he's free but it keeps doubling the entry. I've sent them an email for help.

I just spent this afternoon cutting out turkeys to turn into door magnets, I hope they aren't kidnapped onboard.

Does anyone know if Guest Services is still taking items for autographs? Last trip I carried around two photo mats and waited in lines myself if the kids were in the clubs. Dropping them off takes part of the fun out but then I can relax and enjoy some Bahama Mamas.

I found a dress today for formal night-and it's a size smaller than normal-how often does that happen? :cool1:

Paul,

I'm not sure about flippers but yes, vests are for Free and they are required if you want to snorkle.

I would check with the excursion desk when you board as far as cost for flippers.

Scuba.com has specials all the time and you might be able to get them before you leave. I use this site all the time for snorkling equipment.

Ken

Lets see, everyone is counting down work days so, I have three days this week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then off to Florida for three days, Back for Saturday & Sunday night work at Disney Store, Work regular job again MOnday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and then off to WDW and the Magic for 10 magical days with the MOUSE :earsboy: and my fellow DIS Board members.

So I guess I have 6 real work days left. :cheer2:

BuddyBear- I just read the other post and it mentioned about the door signs being removed...what's up with that??? As soon as you find out from that lady, please let us know...I don't want to put a lot work into it, if they are going to remove our door signs.

New boarding procedures, removing door signs....hmmm...it's there a new guy on DCL that's not a Disney fan.... or could he be a Disney Villian who wants to take away something from us that WE ALL enjoy??!!!! It would be nice to have an alert notice sent to our emails when they make these changes. :confused3 BOOooooo

We just got home a few hours ago after meeting with OHMOM and GRANNY. LOVELY PEOPLE :goodvibes We can't wait to meet again at the cruise. We were sorry that Heart couldn't make it, but looking forward to meet them in two weeks.

Well, gotta go to bed...I'm tired.

I hope Lampskies are ok, It was just reported on the Weather Channel that Evansville, Indiana got hit with servere thunderstorms last night with some fatalities. I'm pretty sure they live near there.

Ken

Ken -

I think Lampy is in Crown Point which is quite a bit farther north than Evansville, which is in the southern tip of IN.

"Our cruise starts today" just ask Julia ................she told us so :goodvibes

Had a good time meeting Julia, John, Jessica and Jenna today - Molli, Preston, Taylor, Paige, Dan and I - a little pre-cruise gathering which included past pictures of the 5 J's previous Magical cruises - just to get us "drooling"

Well - shoot - what's this talk of possibly "no" door signs - will await "official" word from Barb - I'm thinking it's a nasty rumor from someone who spent too much time packing and no time left for making a great door sign ;)

Welcome to all that have just recently appeared - and I'm guessing that John and Julia will do their durnest to get this thread to that 4,000 post !

Lampy:
Went and saw the other Bon Jovi last night in Chicago. I hope the women scream that loud for you when you are on stage! :rotfl2: :cheer2:

Hey there ya'll! :thewave: Even though I'm not going to be on the Turkey Cruise this year....booohooohoooo :sad2: I've been following your thread for a long time...just hoping that I could sneak into someone's luggage and if dreams really do come true, well, then I'm definitely gonna be on another cruise with the Miller family and that naturally would have to include the rest of you turkeys.... :cheer2: Seriously, I had a dream the other night that I was just getting settled into my stateroom and Willie, Kelli and one of their girls was there telling me everything would be fine even if I hadn't had time to pack the clothes I wanted to bring...Kelli said she had plenty and could lend me some things.... :earseek: Willie, ya better watch that suitcase!!! :cloud9: Then that night I get a phone call from Teresa (silver7), who was suppose to be on the 2005 cruise with ya'll, but couldn't...she said she was soooooo sad since ya'll were going and we weren't.... :sad1: So, there must be a magical cruise in my future after that dream and a call from my 2004 Cruise buddy in the same day.... :wizard:

Anyway...I just want to tell ya'll that your posts have made me laugh the last few weeks and I am as excited for ya'll as you are....hope everyone has a very magical cruise... :boat:

Lampy...go easy on Teresa when ya call her okay? :grouphug: And, uh, since you're the one I think could take care of this for me, uh, could ya force down one of those fru fru drinks in our honor? :drinking1

Doug....can't wait to hear about the snorkeling ya'll do this time...be wary of friends bearing chips.... :smooth:

Julia and the rest of the 5Js...have a great cruise! Julia, I'll be remembering our High Tea we had last year...oh, the things we princess: must do....

Chuck and Lisa...Willie and family...and the rest of ya'll who have been dealing with the hurricanes...enjoy the getaway...cruise and have fun!!!

And for all you new turkeys....you are such a great group! :cheer2: I think you are gonna look fabulous in those lime green tshirts...great job to whomever coordinated that...almost 100 of them will be invading the ship on day one! :earseek:
...oh, and for the mom with the DD with blue hair...here's what my sis said when her son wanted to grow his hair long and pierce his ear...keep it clean...keep it out of your face and no dangling earrings! Then to everyone else she said...if those are the 2 worst things that boy ever does, then I've got a pretty darn good son!! That was 10 years ago...now he's a jeweler, married with 2 kids and no earring and very short hair.

Well, I look forward to the posts as it gets closer to sailing and I am really hoping that some of ya'll will post live from the ship. I guess it's kinda like reading a good book...full of adventure, humor and good times...just don't wanna put it down.

Take care!

Hello Moms Goofy
Dress up like one of the Froffy Drink servers and your on the boat bring Theresa with you!
John :earboy2:

the5J's,ohMom and AlreadyexcitedGrammy-It sounds like you all had a great Disney mini meet.I was with you all in spirit.I told dh I bet they are having a great time.

momsgoofy-I am sorry you won't be coming with us all. This is our first turkey cruise with bunch, and I am sure it won't be the last.I will try to post live reports as far as photos go I have no clue how to do the photos on here. This will be our first time using the wireless connection on ship,so we will see how it goes.I can't promise anything.

Mickeyhugger-You could drive to Beaches and Cream at the Beach club and join Kenny K and family as wel as us.I am still waiting to hear a response from Lampy.WE could have our own mini meet on Friday night.I am not sure hwo far the Orlando hyatt is from Disney. We are having our meet at 9PM.Think about it and let us know.

KennyK-It must be nice to have Thursday and Friday, and be able to enjoy your time off in FL<G>!I don't have any time off till 19th :rotfl2: .DH is off on Thursday and Friday this week too as Thursday he has off due to working this weekend and Friday is Veteran's day.Something is definitely wrong in this house<G>!You deserve some time off.I hear nights at DS aren't very much fun at all.My best friend worked at DS at the mall of America for a long while. She quit as her whole paycheck with spent there. She was retired, but worked there part time.6 real work days sound great to me.I wish I could say the same.I have 10.Happy travels to you,and we are looking forward to that special ice cream you mentioned at Beaches and Cream.

Maria

good morning fellow cruisers!

well my tired eyes have magically overnight become rather large in shock and overwhelmedness in all that i need to do this week and i'd rather be chatting here! much more fun to talk here!

buddybear -- Barb is our TA and she told us to email her this week with any questions -- that is my next stop this morning. i'm also going to ask her some question about costa maya (how many ships? shopping?)

Paul -- if you pre-rent your gear (if you are planning on renting) for CC on the disneycruise website BEFORE you leave, you will get both days at CC included -- it's buy one day get one free for our itinerary.

4000 here we come..................

This has probably been asked before, but how much does it cost to rent flippers at CC, and I heard you can get boyancy (sp?) vests for free - true? We already have masks and snorkles.

Paul Goofyhouk

Paul- I don't know the cost of renting flippers only. We brought all of our own gear on our last cruise, and the vests are required and free. They just have them hanging on the life guard stands, and they require you to wear one. I am going to have 5 sets of flippers and snorkel gear with me. My kids all love to snorkel, but they probably will have enough after half an hour or 45 minutes. Your family and everyone else are more than welcome to use our stuff. We will set up camp with everyone at the Dis Corner. We were on the Wonder last year, and visited Castaway Cay the same week. I think that they were doing some dredging or sand pumping or something, because the water was very cloudy. Hopefully, the conditions will be clear this year. The snorkel area is very big, so I think flippers are probably a good idea. But, the water is very shallow, so you can also walk out to where you want to snorkel.

I guess it is too late to get in on the t-shirts. If not let me know.

Gina :cheer2:

Welcome Gina- I am the t-shirt guy. On Saturday, Nov. 5th I shipped out the second batch of our cool lime green t-shirts. In two orders, we have over 98 t-shirts. I am willing to try to place another order. To do so, we will need a minimum order of 12 shirts. The owners of the shop are friends of my DW (from High School, so not real close friends), and gave me a good price on the first two orders. The cost for the first two orders came out to $6.00 per shirt. I can't promise that they will give such a low price on a smaller order, but it probably would not be more than a couple of dollars more per shirt. If anyone is interested in ordering shirts, go ahead and post on this thread, if we have enough interest to come up with 12 more shirts, I will place the order. I am not sure if there will be enough time to ship these, but I can bring them to the port if there is not enough time. If you are interested, please post in the next two days. I would probably need to place the order by Thursday.

M ygoal is to be at 3000 posts and get this thread into the 4000's....Anyone remember their "bar bill" from last year.....I think I won!!!

Laura,

This cruise will be fun, but just not the same without you and Teresa! I promise that at the sailaway, the returning 2004 Turkeys will raise a toast to you guys and dedicate the sunset to you! So at sailaway time, walk outside and do the "DCL Sailaway Wave" towards the Southeast!

Willie
P.S.- They will have to peel my door sign from my door in the dead of night. And shame on them if I catch em. I rented that space, I'll by golly decorate it as I see fit. Even if it means putting a new sign up every day!

Really, I need to have door signs up so that I don't try to go into the wrong stateroom!

There is a simple way to keep door signs on and cooler full of ice...........tip the room steward on the first day and tell him/her what you want.....a simple 20 on the first day goes a LONG way!!
