5 O'Clock Somewhere! -

I think it takes us about 9 hours to get to the World - not including the time change (depends on how many stops). However, I can never really remember - while we're on the way it is too long, but once we get there it doesn't matter anymore. Anyway, it should take about an hour more I figure.


Our docs mentioned they are using a staggered supper start time. Each sitting has 3 start times. Anyone heard any feedback on this?

Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour tonight. We get an extra hour to think about our cruise. 3 weeks from now we'll be underway.

All I have to do between now and then is take my Masters comprehensive exam (next Saturday), and present my final research paper on 16 Nov. I'll be ready for 19 Nov!

Hello All - OK at 1:00 a.m. but we are turnin' back time so really midnight... I have talked DH into the ruins at costa maya... two reasons, I'd love for my kids to experience this AND I don't want to ruin pirate's night by getting blasted on the beach and then crashing before the fun!!!

So all you ruinations count us in! .. I'd love to do the private tour as well (as I read all good things) but will try DCL and cancel if we can get something private.

this is too early for a sunday! Taylor has day two of dog show this weekend yesterday went well as Eli took Winners Dog giving him one point towards his Champion title -- dear old Daddy dog beat him out for Best of Breed

glad to see someone got their christmas lights out. i definately want to before we leave and Preston is like 'too soon!' never! i LOVE christmas and the atmosphere too! from what i've read I expect us to notice decorations go up as the week progress on the Magic, and for CC to be decorated our second day there.

ok, i've regrouped --- i wanted to let everyone know too that Paige has registered on the DIS it was a proud moment. anyhow -- she started a thread for kids (not teens) for our cruise, it's way down on the bottom of page 1 if anyone's DD/DS want to post with her. her username is 'turtledove' i tried to get her to introduce herself but she reminded me that I tell them NEVER EVER use your real name and she refused. it was too hard to explain that it's ok on a cruise meet thread b/c everyone will meet you anyhow (knowing any looney could read too, i just didn't have a strong argument now did I?)

**edited to add -- forgot to tell y'all (willie i had NO CLUE what honk tonkyin' was ) i was at Joann's and their costumes were/are 70% and got Paige an ADORABLE pirate costume!! they had boy and girl ones, and a makeup set with eyepatch and earring.

I just read other thread on NEW boarding procedures. I respond back "Brenda's" post and asked her for more info. As soon as I receive it, I'll let you. From her post I read, they call out by group number. They might go by who ever gets in to register first..not sure. But I'll keep you all inform.

Dinner Question-The info w/ our disney docs states that there are now 3 times for late dinner seating--8:00pm, 8:15 pm and 8:30 pm. I just looked at our reservation at the DCL website and it shows that our dinner time is 8:30 pm. Do the rest of you have that same time listed on your online dcl reservation?

Boarding Question-I have been reading on some of the other threads that now Disney is handing out "random" boarding passes when you get to the terminal. Do any of you have any accurate information about this new boarding procedure?

We also just found out that our DS's son's school still does not have power. There was no school last week and now no school tomorrow. Unfortunately for him, our office is open tomorrow---that's where he gets to spend the day!!

We are so looking forward to November 19th!!!!

They're also there at a moment's notice to get you anything extra you need.

Lisa-Yes,my online ressie says 8:30PM second seating.I saw that about the new boarding procedure.I am not sure if I like it or not.Lets hope the bugs are all worked out before we board.We are still planning on getting there between 9 and 9:30 although we won't be allowed into terminal till 10.I am sorry to hear about our son's school still without power.Hope it is restored soon.I know my aunt in Miami told me they weren't going to get power back till the middle of the month if not later.This is in Miami.This hurricane season isn't going to be over soon enough.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 97 T-Shirts...this blows my mind!!!! Don't you guys know how this group is the best group on DIS Board. WE DO ROCK!!! My DH, John, says we need to see about if DCL can allow us to have a conference room(private bar?). Just to have our group to touch base on what's happening.

Julia-I will send you some warmer weather .It is so nice here in Gainesville.The nights are cool enough the ac isn't on.The highs are in the 70s,so I can only imagine what your highs are.You could come early and visit us for a week.That is a great idea about asking DCL if they would let use a conference room.Hey with 97 shirts we are surely advertising for them<G>.That is the least they could do<G>!I am so ready!I wish it was here already.
