November 19, 2005 Thanksgiving Magic Cruise

Hi all!! We've been out of the loop for a few days--busy w/ Mason's party--the kids all had a great time and busy w/ work. Plus, our internet at home is not working. However, I just realized that today is the 19th day of the month!! On the 19th day of the next month we will all be together on the Magic!!

I am originally from Chicago and we actually grew up going to both white sox games at comiskey part and cubs games at wrigley field!! I support both teams!! As Kris said--Go Sox!!

Once again, we are being told to get into hurricane mode--the local news thinks that Wilma will come right across the state from the west coast of florida to the east coast of florida and then up the atlantic coast. I just hope that Wilma's path doesn't affect too many people.

Hello All- I believe that I have received a pm with addresses from everyone who ordered t-shirts except for TanaL. I will get them shipped as soon as I pick them up. In case you don't know, we live on the West coast of Florida, and are more than a little concerned about Hurricane Wilma brewing out in the Gulf. Hopefully it will weaken and go away, but it sure doesn't look that way right now. If she visits us, it could disrupt me getting the shirts to you early next week, but we will hope for the best. Are any of you Ohio folks familiar with a band called Relient K? I am taking my oldest DD to see them tonight.

Luckily, I threw away my collected concert t-shirts in my 20's. Just don't tell your kids you went to Pink Floyd concert.

John, Tried the Perm thing once... never again!!! Ouch I did see Pink Floyd in concert, my girlfriend and I went to New York (couldn't even tell you where except I think it mighta been on Long Island to see The Wall (not my fav but it was what was available at the time) thinking back I can't even believe my mom let me go... obviously since we drove we were 16 but I can't imagine we were more than 18) but I have tons of concert tickets ... the best thing or the funniest thing is the prices... wow wow wow... some are for 3 bands and are like $4.64 some very strange amounts!!

Molli - just how many treats did those adorable "boys" get posing for that pix - turned out great!

I have been working on a birthday doorsign for DH's (Dan) b-day, turkey day) - I know there are other birthdays happening while onboard - anyone else doing anything? Have a button that says "today's my birthday" may try to "smuggle" some fun stuff for the room (right, Molli, you might have a bit of extra space ) I am sure he will like a bit of attention - just not too much!

Okay serious question - I was checking out bonine as motion sickness remedy and saw there was an "oil" for sale (place behind the ear) - what's the favorite for you guys. We have only used patches and arm bracelet in the past.

The projected track of the hurricane points to a potential landfall on the northeast Yucatan Peninsula in about a day. Cancun and Cozumel could be pounded for 30 hours with a strong Category 4 or Category 5 hurricane, causing complete destruction of poorly built structures, a 10-to-15-foot surge and wave action up to 30 feet. Beyond that, Wilma is expected to come under the influence of westerly winds aloft blowing across the Gulf. That should shift the hurricane toward South Florida during the latter half of the weekend. Some weakening is expected by then, but Wilma could still be a formidable hurricane.

We didn't get to CC last September because of Jeanne. I booked this Turkey Week cruise just because of the double dip CC....but, as I recall, although Jeanne destroyed CC it was back up and running about a month later. So there might be hope - I hope.
