Hello Fellow Cruisers!

Just booked this cruise last week. It's just DH and me. We are staying on the ship - yep our first Back to Back -- for the 11/21/10 3 day cruise. On that cruise we will be joined by DS, DDIL, DD, DSIL, and four precious grandchildren.

We just did this cruise this year and rebooked for the same next year. The weather was the BEST we have ever had on a cruise...we can only hope next year will be comparable It will be me, DH, DD17, DS15 and two of their friends.

We are booked for this cruise!! Me (36) & DD (10), in one stateroom and DSister (39) and DNephew (7) will be in the next stateroom! This will be our first Disney Cruise (first cruise, period!) and we are SO excited.

Hello! My husband and I will be on this cruise before a week at Beach Club Villas for Thanksgiving week! We are also on the May 15 Mediterranean Cruise on the Magic. We are excited about both!

Hard to beleive that we have about 8.5 months before we board that beautiful ship!

Theresa, you'll have to tell us all about your MED cruise. How exciting!

We are starting to make plans for our November back-to-back Wonder cruises. Just booked airfare to Orlando for us and for our West Virginia family who will join us on the 11/21/10 Wonder. Got a great post-cruise rate at the Country Inn and Suites at Port Canaveral for $50/night on Priceline!

I'm also cruising with one of my DD's m-i-l on the Magic this October (DCL #13 cruise), so I am busy planning for my fall cruises.

Can anyone also tell me what the Fish Extender is all about?

Fish Extenders are used to exchange gifts among other DISers. Someone organizes the names of families who wish to participate and some pick a certain day to deliver their gifts. I think you can do a search on the general DCL board to get an idea of what kinds of gifts are exchanged. We've particiapted before and have received homemade gifts, gifts unique to a cruiser's city/state/country, pirate themed gifts, notebooks, paper, pens/pencils, picture frames, magnets, candy, etc.

There are stationery "fish" outside each stateroom which serve to hold notes/mail from Palo, DVC, etc. Those participating in a fish extender exchange hang a cloth type holder over the stationery "fish". I am not creative at all and bought one on Ebay. I think I searched by using the term fish extender. Anyway, on the main DCL site, I believe you can find pics of fish extenders. Many people make their own.

Just my opinion: with us being on a way too short 3 day cruise, there won't be a lot of time to make fish exstender gift deliveries, although it's not impossible.

Hi all! I just booked this cruise while on our Western last week. This will be the first part of a back to back for us. This will be DCL #4 and the following cruise on 11/21 will be #5. It will be me, DH, DD13 and DS10. We are really excited! We missed Castaway on our recent cruise, and this gives us two chances at our favorite port, CC!!

Thank you! We're combining it with a mammoth 3 week total stay at WDW and I'm already in planning mode! I have my spreadsheet sorted and we're T minus 6 days to ADR reservations.

Just need to do a little more research into what to expect on the cruise and how to make the most of it.

I like the Passporter. I bought copies for my parents and my inlaws (all first time cruisers) for our Eastern on the Magic last fall. It was SO helpful to them! Since this is a short cruise there will be some things you will miss, but it's a good way to get your feet wet, so to speak. We have found that we love DCL so much. It is so magical! Everything from the servers at dinner to the Pirate party, to activities for families- and ADULTS! On DCL we get the break and relaxation we don't get on our WDW stays.

I totally agree! By the time of this cruise, it will be DCL #14 for me. I still feel the "magic" every time I board the Magic or Wonder.

Hi Mark!!! Carla and I did not go on the January 30 cruise. We are now cruising on the Magic this October 23. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in November, surgery, then several months of chemo. She's feeling great and we are so looking forward to our girls' cruise.

Can't wait to meet you, Joy and Shadow. Silly Little Pixie is also cruising the same B2Bs as us.

Woohooo more folks joining us!! I am so excited. It seems like forever before this cruise is going to be here... sigh.

Anyone else going to do Palo? I enjoyed it on our first Magic cruise, but we didn't do it on our second one. I'm wondering if we should try it again on this cruise since we are doing a back to back and will see the menus twice. Or is it too stressful to try to do on a 3 night?

Hello all! We are back from the Mediterranean cruise, and it was FANTASTIC! The ship, the Crew, the ports, the weather...it was all just wonderful. I would love to be on the Transatlantic coming home in September, but, alas, too many other trips planned (to WDW!!) and not enough vacation left this year.

We are already looking into using our Hyatt Vacation Club ownership to book a vacation in Spain or France next spring.

And, we eagerly anticipate being back on a Disney cruise ship this fall, even if it is only for three nights!
