November 17, 2012 TURKEY Cruise

Hi Janice! How are things in New Jersey?

I agree -- I wish Judy and her family could join us. It was so nice of Judy to take the time to do our turkey cruise logo. I forgot to mention that the turkey with the green mickey head body is courtesy of Milliepie, another talented and super generous Disser!

Other than getting stinkin snow in October - things are ok - very ready for this vacation!!! Did I tell you we are doing B2B? (you guys might want to tune me out - because I will be reminding everyone for the next year!)

We decided to cheat on Thanksgiving 2 years in a row!! This year we will be celebrating in Atlantic City!!!

Back to Back on the Fantasy? Okay, I'm REALLY jealous! So does that mean you are Disney cruising for 14 whole nights? Wow.

Hi everyone just back from our 4 night cruise on the dream. We did the halloween cruise. Can't wait until this cruise.

Our TA just got back to us about this cruise on the fantasy and said our stateroom had been downgraded so we are saving over $200. She also said it is sold out! Well there goes my hope for an upgrade.

NEXT Thanksgiving sold out already?! Wow!

Didn't you love the Dream? We sailed on her for 3 nights in May and booked the Fantasy while on board - glad we did!! The only problem was that 3 nights was waaaaaaayyyyy too short.

Janice, Were you able to snag the same room for both cruises?

Yes!!! :thumbsup2

Do you remember that last year on our cruise Janet & Lois did the b2b? I don't think I would even have thought of doing that for the 7 night cruises!

Last month we did the b2b on the Dream and had the same stateroom - I wouldn't want to try it with having to pack in the middle - especially on the shorter cruises!

Hi, all.
My DH Barney, DD Delaney (will be 9 at cruise time) and myself - Karen will be joining this cruise! Very excited and although it seems far off, I know that time just flies.

I may be interested in doing the fish extenders if they are smaller groups. Also, interested in joining FB page, as I am much more versed in FB use than message board. Please let me know what I need to do to get added to these.

Thanks, everyone!
Karen

Welcome Aboard!!

Ya know I just realized that we will be on the fantasy while it is decorated for Christmas. :goodvibes

Oh and we have ONE YEAR to go! :thumbsup2

Anyone know when port excursions will be released for Puerto Rico and also how long we will be in port there?

DCL kicks off Holidays on 11-19 Sailings
Disney Cruise Line kicks off its holiday season Nov. 19 with the first of three Thanksgiving voyages. All three ships will offer traditional Turkey Day activities with feasts and football games broadcast live on the outdoor jumbo screens by the pools. Mickey, Minnie and friends will also appear in their Thanksgiving attire.

The Disney Magic sets sail Saturday on a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. On Sunday, the Disney Wonder heads out on a seven-night Mexican Riviera cruise. And on Wednesday, the Disney Dream goes on a four-night Bahamian cruise.

During these cruises, the winter holiday celebrations begin as well. Guests can experience:

** Nightly “King Triton’s Tree Lighting” in the atrium lobby, where a child is chosen each day to help Disney characters light the three-deck-tall tree.

** Holiday storytellers sharing tales of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Plus, there’s a story tailored to Disney Cruise Line guests about celebrating aboard a ship.

** Family holiday crafts, such as decorating stockings, building gingerbread houses, making holiday cards and creating holiday animation cells.

** “Til We Meet Again” on the Magic and Wonder and “See Ya Real Soon” on the Dream feature a special holiday edition of the farewell party with beloved Disney characters and the ship’s crew.

** Traditional holiday feasts in the themed dining rooms.

On Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s private island in the Bahamas, passengers will find “snow flurries,” Christmas trees, character meet-and-greets, carolers and holiday-themed activities and crafts for children.

Santa Claus and his elves will have surprises for all the kids, along with cookies and milk, on Christmas morning by the atrium tree. Religious observances include midnight Mass on Christmas Eve and Hanukkah services each day from Dec. 20 through 28. The ships will each have parties on New Year’s Eve to ring in 2012, complete with music, sparkling wine in commemorative flutes and a midnight countdown.
