November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Looks like we might be in the market for 20 of each size. Then we'll have extras for new people & they can pick their sizes out of what we have left on a first come, first served basis!

If anyone else wants to change their order, let me know. I have a spreadsheet set up to track sizes, so it isn't a problem at all to change it. I'll post the orders after the weekend so that everyone can verify that I have the right thing down & we'll be set!

I will take 2 larges if we do end up getting them and i will need to add 2 more mediums to my order.(I am ordering for my grandparents) So total I will need 2 large 4 medium and 2 kids.

Here's what I have so far. Let me know if any of the mediums need to change to larges...

I am happy to share some of our information. We will be on deck 8 in 8536. We are scheduled for late seating. We are from Minnesota so sailing in Nov. will be wonderful. Thanks to all that have worked on ordering the green bands. I would like to order 1-large, 1-medium and 2-small. I am not sure what was decided on paying so please be sure and let me know who I owe. Oh, and by the way count me and my hubby in for margs. Can't wait for our first toast... :sunny:

You are so wonderful to be so organaized and take the time and effort to do so! Thank you! I measured DH's wrist tonight and he is definitely a large! So please switch us to one large, one medium. and 2 smalls. :sunny:

That is may final count with.....yes on the artwork....don't care what we choose! Just so thankful to have it! ;)

And....I wish to vote for DISNEYCRUISE 11/12/05.

That is my final final. Do I sound like a game show!? :rotfl:

count us in for the margaritas as well! all this margarita talk reminds me of our last diz cruise group-one of the gang brought a small black and decker portable blender on board (as well as a couple of bottles of tequila :goodvibes), she decided to get creative one day and made the rounds of all of the fruit stations on board to get her fixins. she got a big bucket of ice and proceeded to make these mango, melon, passion fruit concotions for everyone she could reach by cabin phone-they were awsome!
should we take a poll: margaritas blended or on the rocks/salted or sodium free? make mine blended with no salt :Pinkbounc

so does anyone have any end of the summer plans (man it's gone fast this year!)? we take a short (3 nite) trip to santa cruz beach board walk in two and half weeks, and then the kids are back to school on the following monday (ours go back earlier because they get off around the first of june each year as well as getting off at noon every friday-it's a nice trade off for only having one teacher in service day per school year). so for the next couple of weeks i'm going to start going through their clothes and figure out which still fit, which are school appropriate (we have a dress code, but thankfully no uniforms) and which to set aside for the cruise.

I REALY want to pack light (though my husband seems to think it's an impossible dream) and i think staying at ssr with the washer & dryer will help out immensely-i'll just pack my purex tabs and plan on doing a load each day when we leave as well as one big one right before the cruise. i'm also big on clothes that can serve double duty-the "NON GIRLY" t-shirts my daughter wears often end up on my son (albiet drooping down to his knees), and the same go for my t-shirts ending up on my daughter. as far as hubby and i go, since i like my sweat pants loose and baggy-all pairs taken are fair game. he also take to commendering the tshirts i buy from places like the hard rock, haunted mansion, and house of blues (thankfully i always get these in larger sizes for fear of shrinkage-so they don't get stretched out). but to be fair-when i pregnant i did stretch out many pairs of his boxer shorts beyond usability ;) . i think probably the only things i will have to go out and buy will be a new pair of water shoes for a couple of us (walmart here i come), a new swimsuit for my daughter and some form of comfortable dressy shoes (maybe sandles) she can wear with a dress. my son will do fine with a new pair of school shoes (the type that look like a boot style but only come up to the ankle)-and as for me, well if i manage to keep losing weight-i have about 10 to go), i may be able to dig out the clothes i havent been into for the past couple of years thereby saving some $$$. beyond that i'm pretty much set-i have my roll of bubble wrap for breakable souvineers, my power strip for charging up the various electric items we will be hauling with us, my collapsable laundry basket/toy box for the closet and my tsa approved luggage locks. oh-by the way, i'm not sure if i've seen it on this thread or others but it's worth mentioning:if you're concerned about storage space in your cabin just empty your suitcases and ask your room steward to store them below. we have done this on each trip and request them back the morning before we return to port. this frees up alot of space in the room.

as a last note-i read on one of the other boards about the different grocery delivery services in orlando. from what i read Goodins seems to offer the best deal with regards to selection and pricing. they will package everything according to refridgerate, freeze etc. and deliver them to the bell station of your hotel where they are stored in the appropriate climated area. the bell staff will contact you and arrange to bring the items up. i don't plan on stocking up on much more than breakfast food, water, milk, soda and some easy to fix snacks but this may def. be the way to go (esp. if you have little ones who need diapers, wipes, jarred food, etc).

:mickeybar Hi, I do need to change the sizes for us...thanks for your patience!

Here is my final answer:

1 Large
2 Medium
2 Small

Happy with whatever you put on them!

Hi,

We're onboard!!! We're The Bobe's from Gulf Shores, AL - A.K.A. Hurricane Central. We have a DS(3) (now, will be 4 y/o at cruise time.) This will be our first DCL. Hubby & I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel extensively - Europe, Africa, on several other cruise lines, etc.,, ,,,but I have to say, I have NEVER been more excited about a trip. I'm like DIS NURSE,,,,I dream of it often.

Since my son turned 1, we hit WDW a few times a year, (when you live so close - 7 hour drive - you can't help but take in the magic as often as possible) but we have been waiting until he was older so he could enjoy the club on the cruise.

My sister, her hubby and kids DS(6), DD (4) & DS (19 months) will be with us, along with our parents and my father's sister.

The trip originally started out as an immediate family trip. But, our excitement spilled over a little too much, and my aunt ended up inviting herself along. :rolleyes1 - But,,,, hey, they say the more,,,the merrier!!

Dis Nurse, my sister and I are in adjoining cabins across the hall from YOU! We're 2646 & 2648. We were a little hesitant to have that many kids and keep an eye on them if we were had a veranda. Our parents are on Deck 8, so when we want a little patio time, we'll head to their room. :cheer2:

I would love to order the bracelets if it's not to late. We'll need 2 small, 1 medium and 2 large. If I can sqeeze my order in,,, let me know who I need to send $$$ to!

I've so enjoyed reading the posts!! I didn't think I could become more excited about this trip. But, after stumbling across this site and your postings,,,,,,,,I'm even more stoked!! No sleeping tonight!! Just dreaming!!! :wizard:

I have everyone's requests up to this point. I'll post a complete listing after the weekend & we'll decide where to go from there!!

Anastasia,

I forgot to THANK YOU for directing me to this thread. Yes, ma'am, I meant Magic, not Wonder. My little brain is on overload,,, and I'm soooo ready for a vacation!! Thanks again!

WELCOME STB ON THE BEACH! :flower:

You joined at the right time! :maleficen OMG! What the heck is that art icon I just hit?! I have never seen it and it is pretty scary looking! :confused3 I definitely don't vote for THAT one on out bracelet! :guilty:

We have DS who will be turning 6 so that is a potential match! ;)

So getting excited about this cruise! My spin instructor was talking thim am about his upcoming cruise (in 2 weeks) to Alaska....I piped in and was so much more overly (?obnoxious? :confused3 ) enthused about OUR cruise......so much more of a slamdunk of a good time I was thinking! :rotfl:

I have been out and about picking up a few "cruise wear" items for the kids in the past week....they already know we are going South of Cancun to an all inclusive Iberostar Resort in March.....I simply tell them these "special" purchases are for our trip in March......and they are so excited to even hear that the put the items aside and ask, "Mommy , can you pack them now?"

I say, "sure......I will put them aside....." :rotfl:

P.S. I so look forward to talking with people with southern accents! I have a dear friend here in Oregon from Mississippi and others (fellow nurses) from Texas and Alabama! I love the way they talk! :goodvibes

I was actually born at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta but moved back to California soon thereafter......maybe a Southern Bell destined to be but never blossomed? :rolleyes1

You sure, you don't need to call a friend, poll the audience or use a lifeline?

:rotfl:

Welcome STB on the BEACH - and we will send pixie dust your way for no more nasty H-----&#^#&@#'s :wizard:

I'll update our list of cruise mates at lunch and post it for the weekend. :grouphug:

We have no real summer plans, too hot acutally and since we don't need to travel when school is out, we tend not to...(avoid the crowds).

We do want to get a trip to WDW in before the summer ends, Disney just extended the seasonal passholder ticket dates, so perhaps we will. :Pinkbounc

As to suitcases, did you know that they would fit under the beds? Ours did last trip and that saved the space. I am planning on packing ahead of time, so that I can then take 1/s stuff out of the suitcase, after I see how many "elephants" I will be carrying. When we went on a 4 day, I packed, to dress for dinner, and it turned out that I wore the same dressy clothes more than anciticpated. Perhaps because we ate like pigs, and the stretch elastic dress pants were the only ones that fit? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We have lots of Hawaiian attire, as it is our pattern of choice, so we will not need to shop for cruise wear.

I have been unsuccessful in finding a formal dress that I like. So, I am in the process of sewing one - a good friend has helped me. Soon, I need to complete the hand stitching. Unfortunately, the good friend is now bugging me to buy shoes. She's right, but that means more stuff to pack. Oh well, life is GREAT, when these are your worries, right!!!!! :cloud9:

So what is everyone doing about a tux? Renting from the ship or bringing it with you. We are driving, not flying, so we may have more options...

I'll check back later. :wave2:

Hey Disnurse - we live about 30 minutes from Piedmont Hospital. My husband is very southern and Haley is talking more and more like a southern belle!

We recently found out we are expecting #2 in March. So I will be about 22 weeks pregnant on the cruise - way to almost miss the cut off! I will "need" all new clothes for this cruise since by then, nothing will fit! I think I'll spend a lot of time at the spa!

Princess Hayley's Mom - Congratulations on Number 2!! That is wonderful news.

RE:Formal Attire - I have a formal gown that I love that I have only worn once, so I am very glad to have a chance to wear it again. I am a girly girl, so I love any chance to dress up.

My husband will probably bring his own tux along.

I have a tendency to overpack, so I am going to try to pack light for this trip. We took our honeymoon to the Caribbean, and I took way too many shorts outfits. I found that we really only wore bathing suits and cover ups and our dinner clothes. I'm assuming it will be the same for the cruise.

I am doing some pre-cruise shopping - there are some great end of season sales going on now!
