November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Thanks for all the warm welcomes (and for not making me feel too stupid about post 1900!). I see that there are posts about green wrist bands with the cruise date...can we still get in on those? Trying to read all these posts get so confusing! I'm still looking for others with a DS-9 and DS-7 (did I word that correctly?!). I missed getting Palo reservations online (didn't realize I could do that until it was too late)...does anyone know if they save some reservations for once you are on board?

we can split the difference with our ds (8 1/2) :)

def. make sure to get in the palo's sign up line early (the navigator you get on board will tell you when and where). i know they hold some of the dinner resies. back, not sure about brunch or high tea :confused3

p.s. i love "dumbotron" :Pinkbounc

hey i just noticed-the boards are not updating the number of posts each person has made: awol has been at 102 posts FOREVER (and i know that aint right).

You are so in luck! I was down to only a couple, but one family decided that they didn't want any, so that freed up a few extras. So, I have 6 left that aren't accounted for. Do you want me to mark you down for 4? They are $2.85 each :)

My plan is to get $$ from the people that haven't paid at the 3:00 meet on Sat & then any that aren't paid for will be available to the highest bidder payable in margaritas :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Seriously, any that have not been paid for at the 3:00 Sat meet will become available to anyone that wants them first come first served. I don't anticipate there will be very many left.

We can do another order, but we have to order 20 minimum and it takes about a week to get them. So any lurkers that are interested, better speak now!

I was going to post something earlier, but was afraid of that scary one! I have dreams of him! Or is it a her? Gosh, I was only away for one day and look at all the posts!! Don't any of you work! Wait, I don't work, but I do have a sick child. Had her at the emergency room this morning and just got home. She has croup! This is new for us. And, DH is out of town! She is resting now and I pray for sleep tonight. The cruise is sounding really good right about now, and the wine! We live in wine country and will bring a few along. All the ideas sound good for the wine event! Just count me in!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hope your DD feels better. :grouphug:

I will take 4...Thanks so much! You guys all seem so nice...it will be fun sharing margs with you! Let me know if you need any other info from me...Nancy

We are definitely crazy. I don't know about nice...... I'm sure that in the next week, one of us will post a summary of our plans including meets (on board and at Radisson), wine/chocolate tasting, postcard exchange, etc.)

Dear 4campers....yes, I do have a few tidbits of info on croup, being a neonatal and pediatric nurse....I am sure your Ped told you the same when he sent you home......notice here I said "home"
...the sickest ones end up hospitalized with IV's and supplemental oxygen. I do know that you should try to keep your little one a hydrated as possible! Push fluids! Elevate the head of the crib/bed if you can.......or better yet, have her sleep in a car seat sitting on the floor of your bedroom. Babies are obligate nose breathers and the congestion of croup makes it so hard to breathe! Time will heal. Croup is a virus;any antibiotic will not make a differnce, unless, of course, there is also an ear infectrion brewing alongside of the illness.

Home nebulizers in extreme cases can also keep you from becoming so severe that you are hospitalized. I hope she is not that bad and that all of you are getting rest tonight. ;)

Good thing she caught it now and not 10 days from now! That would be aweful! Once she has caught this strain this season, she will have built up immunity and be fine. :earboy2:

That aweful seal bark cough can go on a for a week or two even after she is much better and she is no longer contagious.....don't let t bother you or others. She is NOT contagious, just sounds like crap.

I will officially talkabut dream dinners tomorrow......I am too tired tonight. But I will say this, if you have one around your town .....DO IT! It was a blast, great food, and healthy stuff for a great price! :cheer2:

Hi! I'm a newbie here and we are ready to meet all of you on the 11/12 sail! We have two boys (ages 9 & 7) and am looking to meet up with any of you with the same! I'm going to try to read thru all (or most of) the previous posts and see what I've missed! Thanks for letting me join in (I hope I'm doing this right)! :flower: Nancy

Hello Nancy,

Glad to hear from you, my son Nick is 8 years old. We will have to get them together.

Frank

Ok, here is my info:
(4) MomtoGav&Eric DH DS9 DS7
Number of Cruises: This is the first one Celebrations Not during the cruise, but in Dec we will celebrate 14 years of wedded bliss!
State: IL (Chatham, near Springfield..."Land of Lincoln")
Deck 7
Dining: Early (is this a mistake with the ages of my boys?)
And any exciting before or after plans.... 11/11 we're staying at the Quality Inn in Cape Canaveral. We don't fly home until 11/20, so after the cruise we are driving up to Orlando and will probably go to Universal for the first time.

I am sending out the list with everyone's real names today! If you haven't already sent me your info and would like to be on the list, this is your last chance. I will be emailing them out later today! I'm also going to ATTEMPT to make the name tags I said I would do for the meet! Hopefully I can get this done today as well as buy the postcards!
 :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks for the tip on Palo...I keep checking online to see if any open up. One did yesterday, but it was for 6:30 the day we sail...I couldn't abandon my boys that fast, so I passed! We'll have to get our boys together!

About 15 minutes from Harold's. We live as far north as you can get to Cave Creek and still have a Phoenix mailing address. What do they do for a living??

They both work for HRH Insurance. She works in the accounts payable dept. ( I think - it may be receivables) And, he does something that invovles handling the large accounts. He flies from Chicago to Dallas to LA and everywhere in between. We're still getting to know them. They finished their house about the same time we did ours (which was 13 months ago) so we've really only seen them about 4 times. We've been getting to know them mostly via email. - Just like were getting to know you guys :)

Dis Nurse, I checked out Dream Dinners and it sounds like an awesome idea!!!!! I love anything that makes my life easier! :goodvibes I just wished they had one within an 8 hour drive from me:(

Thank you for you thoughts. It's been a long two days. She just woke up and is sitting in my lap. No temp, but still harsh breathing.

Gosh, thanks for all the tidbits. She responded well to the cool mist mask and we stayed for about 6 hours. They almost sent her up into the 'tent', but she was doing ok. The only good out of this is, yes, she got it NOW. And, not at the begining of our trip. She is still the same this morning....long night again....she is up every hour....it's so scary. We have a follow up this morning.

This is the our gang:
DH DD (4) will have her 5th onboard!! DD(2) almost 3!
STATE:CA
DECK: 5
Dinning: LATE
Our first cruise as a family!
We sail on DH birthday! And, have big plans for DD who will be turning 5 later in the week!

DH: XXX cruises to MX
Me: 2 with Princess, many moons ago. And, I once worked on a ship for a summer!! Lot's of stories there!!
And, then I ended up living on St. John for 2 years!! Even MORE stories there!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
