November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Jessica,,, THAT ROCKS!!!!!! Now, you'll be able to experience BOTH sexes!! Sterling loves to play with Savannah (his cousin) & their favorite game......Princesses and Pirates!!! So once he is able to "fight" back,,, I bet you'll have a house full of trucks, cars, pirate ships, & star wars figures along side the bardie dolls, princess costumes, and makeup!! But,, something tells me Haley will always be the "BOSS"!! :Pinkbounc :lmao: :Pinkbounc :lmao:

Thanks everyone! The shock of a boy has turned into excitement now for me.... I will admit I had a twinge of a wish for another girl so Haley could have a sister - but I think a brother will be better for her anyway! She has decided against Cinderella and likes Clementine - as in "Oh my darling Clementine". She says we can call him Clem - now if that isn't a real redneck I don't know what is! She mentioned the name Conner to my sister - but that doesn't go with our last name so that is out. Luckily we have lots of time to fight over names - any name we say Haley says, "uh no - that is not a name for my brother". But Clem is?????? :rotfl2:

Congratulations on a new little Prince to pair with your Princess.

You will need to alter your signiture to be PricessHaleyPrice(name to be inserted) Mom........

And = it is almost time - yes......

Just checking in - Guess where we decided to go - on the spur of the moment - thanks to some great last minute rates, and a "bad influence", being one of our Double Scoop friends?

too cute! marissa insisted on calling spencer 'spot' for awhile after he was born (she had wanted a puppy around the same time and we 'sold' her on the idea that a baby was 'kind of the same but even better'-told her they dribble, chew on things, can leave 'spots' on the rug-and you can teach them way cooler 'tricks'-any wonder why one of the first things spencer could do was say 'woof-woof' when his big sis told him too? :teeth: ).

well i am just returned from my 'runaway mom' celebrity cruise and it was pretty cool. i have to say-their staff reminds me allot of disney's as far as attentiveness and friendliness, and the passengers were all very friendly people (you get some realy interesting insights into the strengths and weaknessess of various cruiselines when you start talking to people who have over a hundred cruises under their belts :thumbsup2 ). disnurse came to mind when i met up with a woman and her mom (i had met the woman on a celebrity cruise meet board and hooked up with her the first day)-they are from oregon and had a family member who had a premie (less than 2 pounds) and were ardent fans of the premie services at the disnurse's hospital (apparantly the 'premie' is now a very healthy little one that they joked would have loved 'eating her way round the ship'). if disney could take one hint from celebrity it would be to add the nightly sushi bar to the ships (i have to also say that not being forced off the ship EARLY in the morning was pretty cool too-i did'nt have to report to my disembarkation area until 8:50 and there were others that had later flights that were staying on until 10:00-they had lots of pastries available if you had'nt filled up on breakfast, and they had the bars still operating with free coffee/hot chocolate as well as being able to pay cash for sodas, lattes and such).

of course 'the barkley curse' can never be escaped so while we had great weather at the first port, the morning we hit the second we were greated with snowflakes and then rain and COLD (the bar was hopping with people doing irish coffees that afternoon).

mental note for anyone flying in the near future-if you can wear a one layer outfit do so, we've had to take our jackets off before for security but the tsa was making people take off pullovers, outer bulky shirts and such so you saw plenty of people 'stripping down'.

well hope everyone is well. talk again soon!

Hi. :teeth: Barkley, if that premie was from Bend (St.Charles hospital)....I say dollars to donuts that I took care of that little sole somewhere along the line. Glad he or she is doing well! :cool1:

Grab your VISA cards and contemplate this!.......an awesome deal you must act on NOW through Travelzoo.......you have until Sept. 26th to decide!...only 20 staterooms available on each sailing!

...our dream cruise amongst the Hawaiin islands! :thumbsup2 And for cheap!!!!!! :thumbsup2
7 night NCL......on the brand new Pride of Hawaii for $949 per person.....includes roundtrip airfare from Seattle to Honolulu! This also includes roundtrip transfers from the airport to the Port! Also includes $150 onboard credit!

Dates to chose from are: Oct. 16, 23, 30....or Nov. 6, 13, 27....or Dec. 4, 11, 18th.

I just got this ROCKIN' DEAL emailed to me about an offer through Travelzoo (cal 1-800-827-7779).......call them and mention, "Crusie ID #3728" if you are so inclined........

If we weren't already 100% committed and 100% excited about our upcoming Double Dip, I would be ALL OVER THIS!!!!!!

Jessica, what do you think?
That almost seems too good to be true!?

.....flying from just about anywhere to Seattle can be cheap.....so I encourage any of you thinking about this to research it!

The Hawaiian trip rates are awsome....We are committed and excited to our dive trip to St.Thomas the same time frame or we woulb be going ga - ga as well........

Thanks for the great info....

That deal is available thru any travel agent and it is capacity controlled. That is the trick - once they sell out, that's it! I'm still trying to decide if I am brave enough to travel with 2 kids that far next year. Especially with the airlines being a pain in the neck. I'd almost rather go somewhere I can drive to - but maybe I will change my mind!

i think our next cruise will be on the celebrity or royal carrib. line-they had the deal with the onboard bookings and getting a credit so i went ahead and booked a cruise we probably won't go on so i can use the booking to transfer to a cruise we want.

hey jessica-the documentation sez i can transfer the cruise to a travel agent and i already got hit up by a couple i met on-board who said it can be very beneficial to do so. i know you do cruises and you've done celeb-what's the deal with transfering it to a ta? you can email me with info. if you prefer.

our next trip (beyond 'home state hunting') is still slated to be maui in november (although dh has 2 dive trips at the end of october-but they are fairly local).

Very simple to transfer to an agent. Call agent of choice with booking ID# - agent calls cruise line - sometimes requires a call by you too stating you want the booking released to the TA - but that's it. Once it's transferred your worries are over!
We loved Celebrity and that is what we'd love to do next year if I can find anything that makes the family happy. Otherwise I think RCCL will be the winner - I'm dying to go on the Liberty of the Seas - the rates next fall are crazy cheap!

For those of you cruising before December - let me know about the the Pirate Ship....It was rumoured that the ship would be at Castaway Cay before our Double Scoop in May, but alas, that was not to be....I hope it is still there when we go in December...

Did I mention we are heading back for a 3 night / 3 day right before Christmas - I must be crazy, the but there were special Fla. rates.....

yipppeee....

That's GREAT you are headed back for another one! All be it shorter, you will be so excited to get back to Castaway Cay again!

I am soooooo looking forward to seeing that famous Flying Dutchman! Plan on renting some sort of flotation devise/vehicle to get as close to it as I can! DS is soooooooo excited! I can't wait to see the look in his eyes! :cool1:

I would imagine it will be there when you go too. Why don't they just keep it there forever? What's the deal with that?

Do you get to board the Flying Dutchman do you think?

I read on another thread that it's all roped off. You can go out in a boat and get closer, but that's about it (unless you know somebody). Bummer!

bumm...bummmm.bummmm

oh well....

on the topic of this thread, I spoke with my T/A today and she was not hopeful of a extra special sailing in 2008 based on what she was hearing....

ho-hum-ho-hum....

Crazy cheap is like $599 for the grown ups and $299 or $399 for the kids. Add a little tax about $40 and you get crazy cheap! :thumbsup2
Let me know if you decide to do one - would love to see you!

aaak - posted the comment to the wrong thread - this is not Alaska - anyway, she was hearing that Disney might do another "special" Carribean cruise in 2008 - not Alsaka........

Yes, I know - 10 year Anniversary and all....but....Perhaps, they will return to their "Roots"....
