Just tried to book a resort, any Disney resort, for November 11 to 15. I thought this would be a relatively slow time. But the only rooms available were at Pop, Music and Sports. No moderates or deluxes. What is going on there during that time? With the resorts full, will the parks be crowded? I even tried it from the 12th to 15th, thinking maybe Sunday was full from the last night of F & W and those 3 days were booked too. Funny thing was I could get all the dining reservations I want except Ohana.

Maybe I will just book the Disney cruise during that time. They have some great rates for November.

F/W marathon, end of jersey week, pga tour and some big convention, AP holder preview of Fantasy land expansion

Reasons for full resorts also include Veteran's Day long weekend and Free Dining that week. F&W extended to Monday, Nov. 12th (Veteran's Day). Also, Osborne Lights and MVMCP parties start Nov. 9th.

Wine and Dine half marathon, last weekend of food and wine festival, veterans day so long weekend, conventions.

Sounds like a cruise would be much less hectic and crowded than WDW. I'm sure the parks will be busy. Thanks for the info.

Normally this would be a slow week!

I know there is alot going on, but most of it ends November 12th. I planned this trip to try to avoid off the charts crowds!!!
All the crowd sites still show low crowds for that week with the exception of the weekend.

Am i in for a shock????

I think you are in for a shock. I am doing the half marathon and flying in Thursday morning. I expect most runner to arrive 2-3 days early and stay for the 3 day weekend. Wed and Thur I would expect to see much lower crowds.

It depends what you are expecting. ANY Fri-Sun is going to be more crowded than weekdays at WDW. This particular weekend is a really really busy weekend, not just a regular one. The trifecta of Wine and Dine participants and spectators, last weekend of Food and Wine locals and crowds, and a national holiday long weekend are pretty big. But if you plan to do rope drops and avoid epcot certain times you should be fine. Remember there will be lots of people on the weekends and that's ok. We had some crowds on our 10 day trip and we found everything really manageable. Just have a laid back attitude and you will do great!!!

Well actually we get in on Sat and then goto HS sunday. We stay for 8 days MK will be monday.

I'm wondering the same thing myself! We arrive on 11/11 and leave 11/17. I'd hoped the crowds would be low-ish for this trip. (I'm taking my mom to celebrate her retirement. It's just the two of us!)

At this point, I'm thinking the parks might be jammed. So I've looked into other things to do....visit resorts, shopping around the WDW area. No matter what, we're going to have fun but I just want to be prepared in case the crowds in the parks are too busy for us. :-)

Sweet, you honestly should be fine. Monday may be a hair icky anywhere bc people are off from work and have extended their vaca. But remember no matter HOW bad it is, it will NEVER be as bad as: Summer, Christmas week, Easter, Spring break, or Thanksgiving. It really helps! We went for 10 days 9/27-10/7 which was a bunch of different things affecting crowds. We kept that attitude that no matter what it was gonna be better than summer (we have been 3 years in a row for our anni) and we had a BLAST!

I think you will be pleasantly surprised! It's a great week to go, just that first weekend you need to avoid epcot mainly.

Oh, yay! I'm so excited about this trip! Even if it's packed, I know we'll have fun. I mean, we're on vacation! And at WDW, no less!

YUP! Great attitude! We had a blast. The last few days of our long trip was Columbus day weekend. It was literally packed at DHS by 9 am. We went to rnr and it said standby 60 min wait (!!!!) yet the crowd was not what we thought was a 60 min wait so we hopped on line. 25 minutes to ride time and we rode again with the same wait after. We were like, what else are we gonna do!? It's 9 am are we gonna stand around and stare at stuff or just wait to ride?! (we had a fp for tsm that blocked us out of other fp for 2 hrs).

Just keep that easygoing, magical attitude and you will have a blast!!!!!!

Thanks for your words of encouragement!

That sounds like such a good plan! My mom doesn't do the big rides (except for Soarin') and is actually really happy just people watching, looking at flowers, browsing in shops, etc. In fact, that's what's making it extra-easy to be relaxed about the trip! I'm not at all worried about getting the rides "in".

She does love fireworks. LOVES THEM would be more actuate! As long as we walk around, enjoy a meal a day, and see some fireworks, she'll be thrilled!

Plus we are from upstate NY, where it's already chilly! Just being in the warm weather will be nice too!

For the week Nov 12th thru Friday the 16th Touring Plans has the crowd levels at 2's and 1's. It goes up again on Saturday. :thumbsup2

I truly believe the long weekend November 9-12 may see somewhat elevated crowds but nothing compared to summer or spring break levels and then I expect it to be down right wonderful from Monday-Friday (12-16). :thumbsup2

Jersey Week will still be going on then -- my kids are off school Nov. 6 - 12 for election day, teacher conference & Veteran's Day. The good part is my kids only miss 2 1/2 days of school for a nice long vacation for us -- the bad part is that everyone in the State of NJ is following that same thought process.
