We're staying there, as well as at least 5 families from our group. I'm also returning a car to Avis on Saturday morning. I called the shop and the manager said I should bring the car to them, and take their van to the port. I was planning on droping the wife and kids off first, but he said don't do it, to much traffic, and not worth the effort.

If anyone else has tried this, please let me know which is better!

Jack

Jack, we dropped all the luggae and folks off first, then DH and I took the vehicles to the rental car place and took their van back. It was hectic whe we got there as there were people with luggage waiting and there was not a lot of room for luggage and people in the van. JMHO

I am not sure what I have left to do. When I think about it I get that over whelming feeling.

It has been two years of planning and I still do not know what I am doing. I think I will pack this weekend for DH and myself and hopefully that will help.

I still need to finish the pirate costumes and door magnets.

Good news is that my sister got a contract on her house today and she will close the week we get back from the cruise, then we also close on our new home 2 days later. Hum maybe that is my source of stress. After this move, I hope to never move again. :bitelip:

Well, I am off to get some stuff finished and maybe even make a list.

I also think this month will fly. Vito jr said he hopes this month doesn't go to fast because then the cruise will go to fast.
I have quite a bit to still do..door signs, finish costumes, get vito jr new pants.
We are having a Yard sale this weekend so I have been really busy with that. I have Angies IEP meeting tommarrow and after that we are going to the cast preview for the new finding nemo ride in the living seas.
I am really trying to pack lighter this cruise....but I don't think it will happen.

First post here..just got our cabin assignment on the website today cat 11 deck 6. Only 30 days to go...

Welcome JDM_Dkm. We are glad you are joining us. If you would like your cabin# highlighted, please pm with the info. We are also putting together a Navigator with adult names and the children's gender and age. If you would also like to be included add that to you PM.

Here is a challenge. Lets see if we can make 4000 posts by time we cruise. We need 293 posts, which is a little over 9 posts a day. Anyone up for the challenge :confused3

Weight loss challenges, posting challenges, my new hiking pants I bought don't fit! Now I have to return them and start the search over again!!! ARRRGHHHH

I can't wait to sail and relax!

I'm in for the posting challenge. Do we have rules, normally I post all in one - but if I have things to say to individuals, can I post many? Is that "cheating" - I like to follow the rules!

(well, sometimes I do!)

Peggy I had the same hiking pants problem! I decided to keep them for a week to see if they will fit by this time next week. More exercise, less snacking! Sounds easier than it really is....

I would have to agree.
I dropped the family and luggage off at the port and took the rental back. I ended up staying at Budget for over an hour waiting for vans because of the crowd of families with luggage. A buch of other people and I hired a cab, that was driving a van, to take us back to the port for $5 a head. That was the best $5 I ever spent. By the time I got into the terminal my wife and companions were waiting for me so they could board the boat.

Make sure the person that takes the rental back keeps his drivers license. This way he has a way to get back into the terminal.

We have two families in a 13 passenger van so I will be dropping them at the port first so they can get the boarding number. I think now, I will drop the van off and take a taxi back to the ship, if anyone wants to come along for a free ride back to the port we can coordinate when it get closer. I think they want you to go to the car rental company first so they can begin to turn over the cars for those who are getting off the ship.

I'm with ya faireygod mother

One month from today we will be SAILING!!!! :boat:
Just about finishing dinner and ready to go take a walk under the stars.... :rolleyes1
Dreaming of our arrival at Castaway Cay in less then 12 hours...... :dance3:

...anyone else with me....what will YOU be doing now :wizard: ????

4000 posts by the time we set sail ?????

I think we will be much closer to 5000.

First, and this is just my guess, I think there are a number of people who have been stopping by, but who haven't joined in the posting yet.

Secondly, I think the excitement will grow, as the number of days, till we sail, decreases.

and Thirdly, I predict a boat load of "what, when, how, and should I" posts.
I know I still have a bunch of questions, and that is even before I try and put the entire house, into a couple of suitcases.

Yeah  , only a month to go. I am now officially allowed to talk about the cruise with my family. I held them hostage at dinner tonight to talk about our cruise plans--until tonight, we actually had none. We're not doing anything exciting, but picked a few things to do in each port. I'm jealous of all the people going on the David and Ivan tour of the ruins. We did that last year, and it was the highlight of our cruise.

Glad to see that the people with GTY and getting room assignments. I checked the DCL site today, and the 4 rooms surrounding us are all empty. Doesn't anyone want to sail with us? DH said that's too bad, now we won't get upgraded. I'm glad I'm starting to rub off on him.

Counting down the days. . .
