KTKBERG- Welcome :woohoo:

My youngest DS is 6 years old (medium sized for his age), and I ordered him the smallest size bracelet, so you should be fine.

Door decor is part of the fun for us. We added something new each day on our previous cruise. Not sure if we'll do it that way this cruise or not (I still have a few weeks to decide, right?). Sometimes others have had stuff they put on their door stolen, but we've never had a problem. Besides, anything I put on the door I had done on my computer, so I had another copy at home if I wanted to scrapbook it.

As for the counters, I got mine from tickerfactory, but I'm sure it is not the only website. Search around and experiment some, it's fun!

I forgot to mention. For those of you too shy (or with families who might consider having you "committed") to join those of us who plan on wearing lime-green boas on boarding day... you could try lime green leis! I saw a group of DISers wearing them on someone's cruise photos from a recent double dip cruise. I think I might see if my boys want to get some. After all nothing will top the embarrassment of having their mom wear a lime green boa! :rotfl:

ktkberg....Welcome!!!!

Jackie...there was a hurricane John (downgraded to tropical storm yesterday?) that just missed Cabo, I believe. We have HOT weather here, thinking your thunderstorms and our hot weather are John related? (And, love the cruise smilies!)

Wendy...DH here says *he's* wearing one of the green boas! Good thing we don't have any teenagers traveling in our little group. DD will LOVE it (mostly why he'd do it, in the first place...otherwise, it's to show solidarity with the AZ chickies!) and DS will be slightly amused (but, not enough to wear one himself! There are some limits!)

Carolyn

Boas are finally ordered! Wendy, I love the idea of the leis for the dudes and less flamboyant chicks. Carolyn, can't wait to see your DH in a BOA!

We need to ask PoohJen to look at her Navigator from the last double-dip and see if lunch was offered at Luminere's on that Thursday. I just noticed it was NOT on the first double dip (though it was served there on other days). The only sit down restaurant on that day was Parrot Cay....does anyone know if ALL lunches at PC are buffet style, or just embarkation day???

txaggie, so they way you guys played tag, you needed a gift bag for everyone who participated? So you could end up having to make 20 gift bags, right? I guess I was thinking you only did ONE for the person you tagged, and then they passed on one they made for the next person on the list (or a random stateroom # that hasn't been crossed off the list).

Time to head back out onto the streets of Phoenix. Peg says the puppy dogs want me to come over and watch a movie with them! :dog:

Here's the info on the Mickey pouches (i.e. fish extenders) from my friend DISer RRBB:

It comes with the Mickey's. I got mine on ebay from mrs.lips - at the recommendation from my fellow cruisers. She doesn't have them up all the time, but I've heard you may be able to contact her about them. I would have preferred another color, but I didn't want to miss out so I took the first one I saw listed.

Here's ours after I added some color:
47b6d722b3127cce8cb7c5101e6400000015108Abs3Ddy4Ysg

Do an ebay search for MICKEY Mouse 5 Pocket Hanging Wall Organizer.

I forgot to ask about the tag game. Sounds fun but where do I begin? I also notice people talking about door labels and magnets. Any information would be great. Also where did you get the countdown markers? Again too amazing. Thanks again.
Here is a door sign thread
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=14348529#post14348529and I have magnets that we are throwing away at work they are about 2 inches x 6 inches they can be cut with scissors. I am going to get some 3m adhesive spray and attach them to my signs with that. If you would like some magnets PM with shipping info and I can send them out. I have about 900 magnets left. I am almost out :goodvibes

Devin, I think I'd like some of those magnets. We're flying not driving (thank goodness), and I wonder if they would create a problem during the whole luggage search stuff. I was originally thinking of just getting a role of magnet tape stuff near the port on that Friday before we depart. Anyone travel with magnets in their luggage recently and have any problems? Suggestions about carry on versus checked luggage? I'd hate to have my hard work on signs have to be tossed out at the airport (or have my luggage not make the flight due to search delays).

And Jackie, are you calling me a flambouyant chick? Oh, yeah? Really? Okay, fine by me :thumbsup2 It's true! I was just checking. Tee Hee. :woohoo:

Jackie - I love the smilies they are great :thumbsup2
I am curuous about how many gift bags you need for the tag game, I mean there is less then 10 weeks to prepare! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

As it stands now you would not have any problems with them in your checked or carry-on bags. It would speed up your time through the checkpoint if you did not have them in your carry-on and checked them.

Hey, the boa won't exactly go with my pirate attire! pirate: But, I am willing to wear it to 80s night in Rockin's Bar D if everyone else is too! I'm usually willing to do daring things as part of a group. :cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2:

here is a pic of the magic decorated at XMAS...i hope this link works...

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=842460&page=14&pp=15[/URL]

look for post #198

okay...it did not work...can someone please tell me how to do this again? i tried clicking the hyperlink icon but i have to type in the whole internet address...is there a way to not do this???

by the way, this link was supposed to be to the thread of DCL picture of the day, page 14, post #198!!! :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

yes...i brought about 25 goodie bags on board...like i said we just had little trinkets...i personally spent about $20 at the most for all 25 bags and i gave tattoos, a little candy, and glow sticks from ebay....it was very painless and easy...it gave me a chance to see decks i had never been on before....it was alot of fun seeing how people decorated their doors, even those not playing distag or associated with DISboards....some doors were positively outrageous!!!! i never would have explored all these decks and seen so much fun things if i never played DIStag!!! :thumbsup2

I had the same problem posting a hyperlink (the one for my cruise website). After getting tech help, the only way I was able to do it was to get rid of my tickerfactory ticker first. Then I posted the hyperlink, and repasted my tickerfactory ticker into my siggie. :confused3 Didn't make much sense to me, but it finally worked. I did manage to paste what you did post into a new browser window, and it went right to the right photo. I love it!

jackie....

i hope you don't mind but i copied your smilies...i might use them in a door sign or in my signature someday...please pm if you have any problems with it!!! :goodvibes

Hey man, not MY smilies.....I'll lifted them from another DISers trip report! Aren't smilies like air....free to all? Oh, goodness, now you've got me worried....I've done something wrong and will be sent to the bad place. :worried:

Regarding lunches....I thought only Topsiders had the 'themed buffet' each day, so PC does too, eh?.......OK WAIT OK....just did a closer look at Navigators. On the days PC is open for lunch (not always is), it's the same buffet as Topsiders. And Thursday is Seafood buffet at both locations. On Castaway Cay days Topsiders IS NOT OPEN for lunch....only PC and the pool area food stands and a theme isn't listed. Anybody ever eat on board those days....is it BBQ style stuff like we'll be having at Cookies?

Devin, is your list from a normal Western? I show:

Mon as Italian, Tue American, Wed South of the Border, Thu Seafood and no 'theme' listed on CC days (and no Topsiders CC days).

Oh, and I managed to print that final day on my own (from another web site I think), thanks.

Uh oh, another storm coming through....with lightning....better split!
