November 11, 2006 - MAGIC - Special Western "Double Dip" Cruise 11/11/06

Hannomom and I discussed that there are at least three sisters groups in our group going. We should get together for a late not hot chocolate on deck 9.

That sounds like a GRAND idea!

We're staying at the Residence also. Our two families decided to share a two room suite so we paid one of the higher prices. I don't think there will be much sleeping because we will be too excited! We'll see ya'll by the pool or at the breakfast buffet.

We'll be easy to spot at the buffet. We'll be the family wearing green! We're pretty easy to spot otherwise too! Oldest and youngest son look alike, and middle son is recessive genetics (blonde hair, blue eyes)... oh yeah, DH is bald too. There's always that identifying mark.

I have been putting together info for the Double Dip Navigator. I was wondering if we wanted to include a photo of our family with cabin#?

What I have mapped out now is only 2 pages (front and back) The first page has all our schedule events and the back is our drink list. To save time we could just post the photos on line and people could look before they go. I saw some on Hannomoms site yesterday.

Just food for thought. Please give me your opinions.

i do this all year round! something can be $4.01 and i wont part with that penny! to me, that is 99cents towards vacation spending!! right now the change bag is literally so heavy i cant lift it!! we will be cashing that in within the next few weeks just to see where we stand!!

We'll have to ask Miss C about that in chat (or if she's lurking here now). As my camera's batteries were dead! I did buy new ones, but after the 'meet' portion of the trip was over. Also, I haven't read the part of the manual about getting pictures from the camera to the computer!

In regards to the DIS-Navigator, I'm kind of feeling no regarding photos, but I can't exactly say why. but we certainly can have them of the folks who are willing (and you're up to the work involved). Also, those who want to can post a picture here AND everyone should be getting and wearing our green bracelets!

We're still trying to decide on embarkation day outfit.....I just know I'll be wearing SOMETHING lime green. I really want to replace my lime green AKL t-shirt (very faded), but don't really want to wear a t-shirt for the photo. I do like the Disney logo golf shirts and a black shirt and tan pants whould make a nice photo (or red and tan). I'd just have to wear my green feather boa and tiarra in the terminal so you guy can spot me!!!! just kidding Peg, don't panic!

OK....time to go start the work day, gotta pack my lunch!

My group is wearing red tops and khaki bottoms to board the ship. I am trying to figure out how to wear something lime green, besaides the bracelets and name tags. I may consider the boa and tiarra if others are doing it. My family would die, but what the heck its my cruise.

Jackie...I am okay with no pix, it was just a thought. Just trying to Jazz it up and make it a little more personal. Do you have the link from the first dbl dip so I can also see what they did.

You all are TOO funny with your Lime Green feather boas! That has got to be the only thing that I don't own in Lime Green. We're still trying to figure boarding attire out as well. Last Christmas when we told the kids about the cruise, we bought all of the boys and dads matching Old Navy Ringer Ts (not exactly lime green, but the closest we could get that time of year). Then we added a new family to our group, and they don't have the matching shirts. Might make them feel excluded if everyone dressed alike but them (you know, why didn't I get the memo on this one? ). But, I did get my 3 boys the lime green shirts from the Disney Store on-line that have the antennae balls on them. They could wear those. Too many options for someone as decision impaired as I am at times!

BTW... I will be about an hour late to chat tonight. Hopefully some of you will still be chatting.

I'm glad to see that everyone is very excited about the upcoming cruise. Unfortuantely, today my husband and I had to cancel. While that was heartbreaking I have to keep in mind the bigger picture which is that we did it because we are buying a house! A townhouse, actually, which is in the process of being built (DH is going over to take pictures of our "dirt" in a few moments).

Hopefully there will be another double dip cruise available in 2007 or beyond and we'll see you on that one. Until then, I hope that everyone has an amazing trip.

P.S. I would definitely rock the feather boas!

I wish my boa was LIME green, but, alas, it's just bright green (with white tassels on the ends!).

Dee I don't think the DIS-Navigator was posted anywhere, but WDWLVR is the one who did it for their double-dip....maybe it was a link in her signature, or she posted a link to her web-site. Not sure, but maybe if you PM her she will e-mail it to you and answer any questions you may have. I don't know HOW she did it, but it looked just like the DCL one (logo and design wise).

Hope to see a mess of you folks in chat.....gotta head home and cook my pork chop!

Sorry to see that you have to cancel, but it is most certainly for a worthy cause. Congrats on the new digs!

Jackie think the Boa and tiarra would be wonderful ! I have been tring to decide on what color to wear. I will be making our group Tshirts . Last time I used white and the shirts came out really nice , but I am not sure how white would look against this back ground.
