What am I most looking forward too? Well since this is our first it has to be the whole shebang! I know that as a family we will get to just be together and that will be a wonderful thing. :cloud9:

What do I love most??? Just being there... away from all the media images of what life should be like.
I LOVE to just live in the moment of the cruise, away from all the responsibilities that go along with my daily life (other than the part about being a wife and mom). ;) I LOVE being away from the pressures, and being free to just have fun with my friends and family! In general, I love the fantasy life of Disney vacations, but the cruise is by far the best Disney vacation because I get to see the ocean, feel the waves, and relax! :cloud9:
Yes!! Yess!!! YES!!!!!

We are going on our summer vacation soon, and I am looking forward to having time just to hang out and enjoy each other as a family, without worrying about which kid has to be picked up/dropped off where and what I have to do at work tomorrow . . .

. . . but what makes a cruise even more relaxing is that no one can reach us, my boss knows I won't have my cell phone or my laptop, and we don't have to make any decisions harder than what to order for dinner. O.k., who am I kidding, we don't even have to decide that, because we can just order it all if we want to! :rotfl: Plus for us it's the perfect combination of family time and couple time while the kids are off doing their thing.

just back from the Movies we saw Pirates of the Caribbean. It was well OK I think I need to see it again. I was a little uncomfortable siting in the chairs. THe Girls loved it. We went to Mc D's after to get the tray cover. they gave us four of them. I did give me some really good ideas for our door Mag. though.

The first POC was on USA last night so even though we own it I had to watch it again! Pathetic, I know!

We are leaving on Saturday for our summer camping vacation. I can't wait. :Pinkbounc We are going to Ohiopyle Pennsylvania and are going white water rafting and to see Andrew Lloyd Wrights falling waters house. How cool is a house built over a waterfall?! Those are the only two planned activities so the rest will be lots of hiking and napping! Again, can't wait! :Pinkbounc

Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater" is a spectacular work of architecture.

(You might be confusing his name with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.)

Yep...and for our 10th anniversary we went to Toronto to see The Phantom of the Opera by Frank Lloyd Webber. ;) :) DW Shelly has been mixing those two up since we made plans for this trip. :teeth:

OF course what were my boys watching??? :happytv: ...the Avatar movie they had Tivo'd on Friday night. :confused3

If my oldest would have been home, he would have taken rule over the TV and they would definately have been watching POC! Oldest DS just got home from TaeKwonDo camp today. Man is that kid wiped out! :faint: The instructors gave the cabins to the girls and younger boys (and right they should :thumbsup2 ), but this left my son in a tent. :worried: They also woke the kids up at midnight their first night there to have them do a 1 hour work out, then back to bed to be awakened at 5am for a run up to the top of the hill and back down. :yay: Other than that, I guess it was typical camp food, big bear grunting around the tent at night... everything he imagined it would be and more! :worried: :crazy2: :headache: This is me today :laundy:

On the upside... DH came home a few days early from China, :cheer2: and youngest DS turns 6 today! :bday:

Happy Birthday, youngest DS of Vanvmom!! Our DS is turning 8 on Tuesday, but his birthday party was today....so excitement all around!

Didn't watch POC on TV, but we got to see Jack Sparrow at DL on Saturday with Jackie and Peggy!!! (Ok, briefly and from the side...Jackie was threatening (promising?) to come back later to stalk him....she'll have to let us know how that worked out.)

Shelly...don't feel bad, I thought something seemed wrong with the name, but I googled Frank Lloyd Webber and the Fallingwater house and I still found it.

Linda...what am I looking forward to the most on our cruise? Well, since I've never cruised and no experience, I'll just say: I'm just hoping DH's Blackberry won't work!! I know he has to bring the laptop, but if only the blackberry is inoperable...THAT would be a good vacation! Oh, and, hoping for an hour or two when BOTH of the kids are happily involved in the clubs at the same time and DH and I can have a moment or two:)....

My BlackBerry does not work at sea or at Castaway Cay. So, once we leave Port Canaveral, it will be off. I might get a signal at Costa Maya or Cozumel.

Thanks, Woody!!! What great news for me...I'll break it to DH...

Ok, one wish down...

How are you feeling? Sounds like you banged yourself up good. Bruised ribs really hurt! It seems like every week you need this cruise more and more!!!!

What I look most foward to on this cruise? Tuff to narrow it down. I think it is being away from realilty for a week. I really find that while on the ship it is really easy not to think about life for a while and just live it! :goodvibes

I look forward to opening my eyes in the morning and seeing my sweet DH next to me and the ocean behind him. I look forward to having DH say good morning and goodnight and being able to look him in the eye when he does it. Yup that is what I am looking forward to.

Well we have booked our flight (group rate was not that big of a savings).

We have changed our plans and are now going to WDW on Friday. I am debating if we should change hotel reservations or not. We are booked at the airport Hyatt, but I was thinking of staying at WDW instead. I will have to see what their rate is first.

I do need some more info for the Double Dip Navigator. I need an accurate list of all attending, thought I would wait till after final payment. Do we want to include childrens ages and our cabin # as well? I have mapped out just one navigator that encompases the whole cruise. Hope this works. I was hoping to load it up to a website that everyone could download and print. What do you all think of that?

Well I better get some work done. I see Carolyn and her family are back, but have not heard from jackie or Peggy Jo. Hope they had a great time too.

Wow, you guys had some great answers for last week's question. I am really looking forward to meeting you all.

Devin, take care of yourself. We want to see you on this cruise with no bruises. :goodvibes

Shelly, you all have fun visiting Frank or Andrew or whomever. :teeth:

Carolyn, where are the pictures of Peggy sobbing on the Peter Pan ride? :rotfl: And isn't it wonderful that the BlackBerry doesn't work at sea? I know my friend, PoohJen, will be happy that work can't reach her on her cruise in August.

Wendy, that sounds like a nightmare camp....bears???!!!! Scarey!

Question of the day (or week, lol): Is there a "can't miss" activity for you? I don't want to miss seeing Pirates on the Dumbotron. Huge sceen, stars, ship, wonderful movie....can't miss it!

Well...Peggy rode Peter Pan with my little DD, so there are no pictures. We switched up the passengers to insure that my oldest DS17 and their young friend (she's 13) could ride together.... And, for the first time ever at a theme park, DH and I rode together without kids!

My answer to your question: We have absolutely no "can't miss" things...just planning on soaking it all in and hoping for a leisurely pace.

Well, let's just say that it was all he expected it to be. This camp was a mandatory camp for black belts at his school, and considering he's currently working on his second degree.... it was about time I relented and let him go. He knew it would be a ton of work, and now he can say he has completed it! Last year the camp was right after we got back from our cruise, and I didn't think it was fair for him to go straight from Disney fun to TKD camp (and the not so fun stuff that goes with it).

Only 3 more camp experiences to go this summer. Middle DS (10) is at camp now (Hume Lake) with a group of 5th/6th graders from our church for a week. Oldest DS goes to the same camp in a couple of weeks with the Middle School and High School groups. Then in August, we get to go camping as a family at the coast (at least we hope the whole family can go... Tim may be in China- we don't know for sure yet). Good thing we all like camping! :yay:

My answer to the question of the week: Formal Night. I cant miss that. I love to dress up.
