:rotfl: David, too funny!

I'm sure Jackie (Ibouncetoo) will check in after work and fill you in on all the pins and such. We'll probably be updating the first page as DIS meet info comes in. Shelly (shelwoj) is doing pins and she needs your names and DIS names (if you have them) and whether you want the date on it or not.

Carolyn, have a Mickey Bar for me. Wish we could be there. :)

Checked the DL calendar and convinced DH that we need to do a 2 day park hopper when we go next weekend. We'll do Friday with his family at the parks, then we'll go on Monday before we head home (POC will be open then from it's refurb). YEAH!

David and Carolyn - I guess I'm the one with the odd male teen (well 12.5 yr right now- he's our oldest son). He LOVES to read, loves school, and helps out with the chores at home (actually... mom doesn't let anyone go without helping out with chores at home). At least he does it willingly, and not whiningly!

David you also might like to know that many of us have booked a ruins tour excursion in Costa Maya called the "Native Choice." It is not a DCL excursion, but as of last count... there are over 60 of us booked on it. :grouphug:

Just popped on and I continue to be amazed at how much our "family" is growing! Welcome David - that was a delightful introduction to your family and I look foward to meeting all of you!

Carolyn - girl - you crack me up. I personally haven't been talking to your hubby behind your back - but I cannot speak for my sister... ;)
JUST KIDDING!!!!!

So we'll be seeing you in July. We are brining my little friend Victoria (13) who is the daughter of my very good friend Jacqueline. Speak of the devil my sister is calling... more later folks!!!

Hello Double-Dippers!

hehe...I was calling my sister to say "Neener, neener...I get to leave work early!"

clynneYES come up Friday and stay at the CCI...no that wouldn't be stalking. AAA discount is $109 for a regular room and $119 for a deluxe (slightly more sq. footage). We could all do dinner and plan what things we may want to hit together on Saturday before you have to leave. ohhhhhhhh, where to have dinner....Storyteller's.....Goofy's Kitchen.....

vanvmom, glad you are going back for a second day and will get to do Pirates....I can't wait to see it too!

alisbarc, here's the story as it stands so far:

Shelly (shelwoj) will be doing DIS buttons(pins), you need to PM or post what name(s) you want on them. We're doing DIS name and real name, and if the rest of your party wants a pin, you need to say what name you want on those. Some are choosing to have nothing but the name, some have asked for the cruise dates on them...just let Shelly know which you want.

We will be ordering silicon bracelets (you know, like the yellow Livestrong or the gillion others out for 'support' groups). They will be about $2 each, come in adult and child sizes, will be neon green with glow in the dark lettering that will say something like: Double-Dippers Magic Cruise 11/11/06 **or** Twice the Magic Double Dip 11/11/06....we'll be voting on the exact wording in a little bit (at about the 75 day mark). I'll be ordering these and will mail them out in advance if people want them to wear departure day.

DIS meet will be 3pm in the Promonade lounge...this location covers us if there are weather issues, plus comfy chairs, plus bartender (hehe). And I bet many of us will rally at a certain location (deck 10 starboard?) for the sail away.

We're planning on having a 'group lunch' on Thursday (second sea day) at Luminere's to celebrate all the birthdays/anniversaries/weddings/vow renewals/whater else that are going on in this group. Therefore, many of us will be attempting to book Palo brunch on Monday (first sea day).

As Wendy mentioned, a mess of us have booked the Mayan Ruins tour in Costa Maya with the "Native Choice" guys (David & Ivan). If you think your group may be interested I'd suggest checking this out www.chacchobenruins.com as it's filling fast (if not already full).

There has been some talk of 'exchanges' (like the kids exchanging postcards from their home area), but nothing organized or finalized for that.

I think that's it....well.....there is a Guide to Magical Drinks in the works....for those that may like to see what exotic/tropical adult beverages are available. :drinking1

Ok, one Mickey bar for Linda. Consider it done...

Wendy...you know, oldest DS NEVER whined about anything, doing chores included. He just cheerfully doesn't see dirt or clutter or mess, really. We'll look at the same room and he sees, Ok, and I see, 20 things on the floor. Perspective or defective eyesight? I just don't know.... Hope you have a great time next weekend at DL!!

Nice recap for David, Jackie! Very thorough.

Carolyn

I want a Mickey Bar :mickeybar RIGHT NOW!

OK, maybe I'll drive to McDonalds and have one of their low fat ice cream cones (3 points on Weight Watchers).....but somehow I don't think it will be the same :guilty:

Thanks for the update for those others of us who are late to the party (not too late, I hope) and were scared at the thought of 150+ pages to wade through.

As for buttons, I'm Needalatte, (Betsy), DH is Larry and DS (11) is Eric. They aren't Disers or boardaholics like me, so they don't have any screen names. We are happy with or without dates on the buttons.

We're booked on the Mayan Tour (thanks again, Wendy) and so far, that's it.

We haven't made final payment yet, but we will soon. Congratulations to those of you who have so far. That's a great milestone to have reached!

Our last DL trip was last summer for the 50th--other than that, we've been saving for the cruise, so DL has been on hold. Those of you who are going/have gone recently, have fun. I'm a tad bit jealous.

count me in for 1 button:

txaggie94gigem = elizabeth

i can't believe we are less than 5 months away from our cruise!!!!

i want a mickey bar too! :mickeybar

i have been lookinf at the new navigators and deciding what things look fun and drooling over the menus too! but then i made the mistake of looking at those new spa villas...i think i might have to work some more overtime to pay for those!!!! :goodvibes

I have a good start on the button list. It really won't be a problem making them both ways I just need to keep the lists seperate.

Devin, thank you for the offer of paper but I too have access to colors and weights. Standard paper works best because of the cutting and pressing onto the button.

To be honest, I don't know how to get the names off of the Mickey head! I will look for a plain one unless someone has it already. Just send me a private message and I will give you my email. My computer has Disney print on it but I am willing to play with other Disney styles.

I will probably drive my family insane :rolleyes1 before I find the "perfect" set up! Oh well, everyone needs a hobby!

I can't believe my baby gets his hgh school diploma tonight!

:tinker:
Congrats on your DSs graduation.

Dee - congrats on the NEW baby!

Pins for us...no dates, PLEASE

GrayFal - Pat

GrayFal's DH - Tom (he LOVES to be called DH :rotfl: )

THANKS :grouphug:

Added to page ONE!

I will update the cruisers list next week from Las Vegas!!!

Thanks to David for chiming in with my thoughts/problems, too! I tried to stay in touch this winter with this group when I first booked, but quickly fell behind. I'm on a Mac--and SLOOOOOW dial-up--so i can't chat and sometimes I can't even load the pages without taking a nap inbetween so I just gave up. Can I just ask a few basic questions and maybe someone call help me?
1. When exactly is the 75 day out period for booking reservations? Our first cruise was last November, missed out on Palo online and didn't even get it onboard. I really want to at least try brunch so the day we can first do this would be much appreciated. And someone said everyone is going for Monday on this?

2. Can someone give me a brief synopsis on the days certain activities are going on? Like, what night is pirate night? What day is Tea with Wendy? Those kinds of things. That way I can schedule the few things we really want to try with the things we don't want to miss. (Missed Pirate Night last year--sleeping toddlers. Need to catch up this year!!) What night is Twice Charmed and Golden Mickeys? Only thing we saw last year was Disney Dreams.

3. Someone answered the question about DISmeet already--thanks. I'm guessing that is the first day? I'm trying to remember where the Promenade lounge is....

okay, kids are now awake. Off to feeding---try to catch a bit more later...

Melanie

Melanie, I sent you a PM with this info (thought it would be 'faster' for you to get/read it there):

"Melanie, I have a chart I've made of the double dip itinerary, which includes restaurant theme nights, what the show is, menu theme for lunches etc. It also has room to add in your own excursions and activities. I can e-mail it to you if you want to give me your e-mail address.

I actually don't know about the tea with Wendy, but I'll take a glance at the 1st DoubleDip Navigators to see where it is and let you know....I can't imagine how long it would take to look through them with dial-up!

The 75 day mark is 8/28 (actually, it should be listed on your confirmation/receipt from DCL) HOWEVER....if you've cruised already then you are a Castaway Club member and can make on-line reservations at the 90 day mark (8/13) IF YOU PAY OFF YOUR CRUISE BY THEN. If you don't know/have your CClub #, call DCL and get it and make sure they add it to your reservation."

Oh, forgot to put this in the PM: Golden Mickey's is Monday, Twice Charmed is Tuesday, Priate night is Wednesday, Disney Dreams is Thursday.

Wow Jackie, you are really good. Great recap for us late comers and slow readers. I have emialed the Native Choice Guys to see if there is any room on the tour. Put us down for 6 bracelets. Do you need $$ now or later?

Shelly, pins/buttons for the Barczak Bunch, we like dates - help our aging minds remeber things -
David (Tigger2)
Alison - yep only 1 "L"
Mary
Tim
Matthew
Andrew
Let me know if we need to send any $$$ to cover the cost. You can email me at dwbarc@aol.com

Congrats on all those who have made final payment on the cruise. I hope to join the club by months end.

My DW says I need to say something nice about DS Tim. He does have a few redeeming qualities. He does mow the lawn with only minimal verbal motivation.

Anyone started the diet so you can pig out on the cruise yet?. I really need to lose about 20 - 25 pounds so I am going to start this Monday or next or by July 1st, no no, will probably wait till after the 4th of July because of the BBQ's, oh oh, almost forgot we are going on vacation in late July and I hate being on a diet when on vacation so I will probably start when we get back on August 5th, but wait, our anniversay is August 14th I can't not have a dessert on our anniversary so I guess I will start on August 15th, darn it, I almost forgot about Labor Day, we are having a BBQ & pool party at our house for our church group and everyone brings a really tasty dessert or side dish so It will have to be after Labor Day, no no that won't work either because DW birthday is Sept 21 and DD Mary's birthday is Sept 24 and I always take them out to a special dinner complete with appitezer an dessert so it will definately have to start on Sept 25th, oh darn it, I forgot about Octoberfest at church... a big festival complete with Brats and Beer and funnel cakes and beer and cotton candy and beer and german potatoe salad and did I mention beer, so the diet will definately start on or around October 11th. Do you think it is possible to loose 25 lbes in 30 days. I just saw an ad on TV and they say if I send the $39.99 plus s/h it can be done.

That's funny--I am starting my diet on exactly that same day!

GOOD NEWS FOR YOU CROCS WEARING CRUISERS:

They have recently opened an official CROCS store inside Orlando International Airport. They carry many colors and a large range of sizes, from the tiniest to adult 16-17.

The store is located between terminal A and B. They have also added a Del Sol store for all the color changing fans.

Oh, and David...no don't need any money for bracelets at this time, I'm not even going to THINK about that project till August.

Well, I have to get cleaned up and drag myself down to the station for about four hours. Don't want to, but I know I'll be very glad on Monday that I did and even gladder (it's a word if I say it is!) when the overtime shows up in my paycheck! :thumbsup2 I'll console myself with somewhere fun for lunch...it's a 17 mile drive and there are lots of choices along the way.

Catch y'all later.

Pat, I think the ew part comes after the first poopy diaper. ;) :lmao:

Pay off your cruise??? That means you think I still have $$$ left after paying for mine.....:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Pat, we're back up to 7....need to add DS Matthew (20) back on the list...

Please....NO MORE CHANGES....I don't think my nerves can take it....

EDITED......let's hold off.....he may be confident about going but other more reliable sources are not so sure..... :thumbsup2

Well we made it through the graduation ceremony Thursday and the graduation party yesterday. The ceremony was really nice and we had a perfect day for the party. It was 90+ but there was a breeze coming off of Lake Erie that made it so nice. Good food, good weather, family and friends what could be better? I'll see if Dave can figure out how to post a picture from the graduation. :cheer2:

Alisbarc - is your screen name Tigger2 and Alison's Alisbarc? You have to keep it simple with me! There will be no money needed for buttons. If I have to pay anything out I will take it out of my fundraising account for the band. :thumbsup2

Well, time to get moving and get a few things done before I go get the dog from the kennel. :dog:

Have a great Sunday.
